I didn't want to do that because my laptop works just fine otherwise. I found Gerry through a Google search for a local computer/laptop repair man. I called him on Friday when I was 5 minutes away from his residence. I didn't even have an appointment or anything, but I was able to drop it off right then and there. He was able to order the part I needed that same day and it was delivered the following day on Saturday. By Monday evening, I picked up my laptop and it was as good as new. He stated that within the next few months, I'll have to replace my battery and perhaps add some more RAM in order to make my computer that much faster and efficient. He was such a gentleman, very sweet, and we talked about my favorite subjects: movies and Star Wars! He genuinely seemed like an honest, Christian man.
