I noticed my toilet was leaking a little bit of water, so I called Falso as I was expecting the wax seal to need replacing. They gave me an estimated time between 1-5 pm to show up, which I figured was normal and proceeded The technician showed up around 3-3:30 pm. He did not seem very knowledgeable and kept using their "new tablets" as an excuse. I figured that the tablets were probably new and it's annoying to have to learn a new tool while on the job, so I let it go. He proceeds to take the toilet off of the ground, and confirms my suspicion that the wax seal and flange need repair. He then proceeds to try to tell me he can just stack 2 wax seals on top of each other and that will solve the problem. He also tells me that he doesn't have a wax seal or flange adjuster in his van and would have to go out to buy them. I wonder what he might have in his van if he doesn't even have these minor repair tools. He then says since it's close to 5 now, their parts store is closing soon and doesn't know if there's a Lowes or Home Depot nearby. I question this as Falso claims to be a local business. I don't live in a rural neighborhood at all. In fact, lowes and Home Depot are within 10 minutes from my house. I tell him this and he fumbled around until he ultimately agrees to go to one of those stores. Like I said, these stores are within a 10 minute drive from my house. He then proceeds to be gone for 45 minutes. By now, it's getting late and what I thought was going to be a quick and relatively cheap encounter (less than $400), he then quotes me ~$1200. I took a moment and came back about to say no because that's far too much for a wax seal and flange adjustment. Right when I come back to him to tell him no, he says he called a coworker and changed the quote to $543. He then says he's going to wait for his coworker to show up and he'll be here in 20 minutes. At this point, it's been close to 3 hours and I'm done. I thanked him for all his help but I've decided to go with a friend who can do it in no time. I paid the fee for him to show up and the fee for him to leave my house to buy the parts (so $200). Very unhappy with this service and he seemed very confused about what he needed to do the entire time. read more

I had a bad experience with this company on 1/9/22. Our furnace hadn't been working for about 18 hours. The tech showed up followed by someone who ended up being a salesman. Tech diagnosed the problem as a bad inducer motor and told me because the furnace was 20 years old that the part would be expensive and hard to find. The second person stepped in and quoted me for a new furnace and told me I would have to act quickly because they had limited install dates available and prices were going to go up. I wasn't really comfortable with how things had transpired and we still had no neat so I called another company. That company diagnosed the same problem, but was able to provide a temporary fix and told me they could have the part the next day at half the price of Falso. I asked him if he could quote me for a new furnace while he was there and the quote was also half the price. A week later the furnace is still running fine on the temporary fix and we expect to be getting a new one this week. I have tried to contact Falso several times to try and discuss my experience and get my money back. No one has returned my calls or emails. read more

Needed 2 faucets replaced. Never got a real answer about what the rates would be, and ended up with a $927 bill...yup, for 2 faucets which were supplied. Turns out, I was charged $99 for the "trip charge," which I was told when I booked would be waived if I had the work done at the time of the plumber's estimate. Hourly rate I found out was $259/hr...even though the service manager told me that they are a "flat-rate" company. Wow...unless you like those sorts of rates, I'd find someone else! read more

One of the worst services I have ever witnessed. My boiler broke so I had no hot water or heat, they had to come over 3 times before they figured out the Primary circulator pump was bad. The tech changed it and 12 hours later it stopped working again and came up with an error code. The tech said it was common it needed a couple of days before it would be working again. long story short they had to come back out and they tried charging me $2500 because my piping was the issue. (That wasn't the problem) I had a different company come in and they found that the primary circulator pump was installed incorrectly and it failed because of it. They changed the pump and works great since. I called Falso 12 different times to get my money back because they have a 100% guarantee and everytime the lady that answers the phone gives me so excuse why the general manager that deals with refunds isn't available and he'll call me back but he never has. Scam artists! These guys took advantage of my elderly parents! My fiancé and I live in a 3800 square foot house. Our furnace died this past year and we replaced it. It was not through Falso. So I will leave the name of the business out of this review. But I can tell you that for our size house we paid for a brand new furnace and Ac unit and it came to $7,000 approximately. Now, my parents live in a 1,400 square foot home. Oddly enough their furnace died this past year as well. Instead of shopping around, unfortunately my parents went with the first person that they contacted which was Falso. Their sales guy convinced them somehow that they needed a condenser that was literally the size of a dumpster and some new age energy saving furnace that barely forces the air out of the vents. There are so many things wrong with this situation that it's hard to know where to start. But the first thing I guess is the condenser is 4 times the size of mine. For half the house square footage.... And the system they bought cost them TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! My mother doesn't even put the AC on below 79 IF she even uses it at all. So I can guarantee she did not ask for a ginormous condenser as AC is not her biggest concern. As most aging individuals she wants to be warm in the winter. She has noticed over the winter that she doesn't feel the heat in the house. So she has called to have them come look at it. She THEN found out that it is intentional as it is part of the energy saving function that the fan does not blow that hard. So now, her AC is way excessive for her square footage and STILL won't cool the house adequately due to the blower fan, and what she really needed was heat and that also is not forced through the vents at an adequate level. Twice they have managed to get someone to the house after numerous calls. And they "adjust" the blower speed. But the reality is they are placating them. And the system will never work as they expected. And that is all because they were taken advantage of and robbed of 20K. Then they were supposed to get rebates that the company applies for on behalf of the customer.... Not only have they not gotten the rebates yet, but my mother has called these guys in regard to it at least a half a dozen times and she's always blown off. If you have elderly parents PLEASE insist on being involved in any major shopping decisions. As places like this see elderly people as targets to take advantage of. My parents had no need for such a system. But these guys told them they did. So they took their word for it and now they're stuck with a furnace and AC they don't want. And that has never worked properly for their purposes. It seems an oxy moron to me that they have a condenser with enough BTU's to run a walk-in cooler in a grocery store but a blower fan that cannot even get that air to them! I called to get an estimate on putting in a water line to my new refrigerator. I was told they could do it later that same day. I then received a call telling me that they would be charging me $99 for the estimate. I was also told that the plumber would probably do install today. He arrived, spent 5 minutes in the house, 10 minutes outside writing estimate with no details. The estimate was $578 which is 4xs the cost by deliverer of fridge. I was then charged $106.96 above and beyond for the estimate. This is a RIP OFF and SCAM. Unbelievable overcharging!!! read more

Called three times in 3 days for an urgent matter - leaking radiators. Each time I had to give the same information, which took 15 minutes, and it was like they had no record of my previous calls. Never got a call back from dispatch. Each time I called, the person said a ticket had never been submitted. Ultimately, here it is 5 days later and they just never called or responded. It sounds like they hire out phone answering to some non local service. We found a small local company, Art's Mechanical, who was on site within 2 hours and fixed the problem. Falso is just getting too big to be of any service. Update- they asked to contact me after seeing my review - I reached out, gave them my contact info and even that was lip service. Service so bad I am writing off $106 just so I don't have to deal with them ever again. My heat went out on Saturday morning and I couldn't get ahold of my regular HVAC company, so I called Falso. I had used them a few times in the past for plumbing issues without any problems. I called their dispatcher and was told a technician could be at my house in about an hour and that I would have to pay a $90 service charge, I agree to this and waited for the technician. The technician showed up on time, spent a total of about five minutes looking at my furnace, he read the indicator light fault code, something I had already done, tapped on the pressure valve a few times with his flashlight and told me that the pressure valve needed to be replaced. He said he that he couldn't get a new valve until Monday and nothing more could be done until then. The technician told me they would call first thing Monday to schedule the repair. I asked the technician if there was anything I might be able to do to get the furnace to run, he told me that if I tapped on the valve I might be able to get it to work. Then he charged me $106 for the service call and left. I monkeyed around with the furnace myself and managed to get it to the point where it would run for a single cycle but not fire up again on its own. I spent the rest of the weekend babysitting the furnace to keep my house from freezing. Monday morning finally came and no call from falso. I called them at 9 a.m., explained my situation and was told that the woman who did the scheduling would call me, but that they could not guarantee that they could get a technician to my house today. The woman on the phone told me she would let the dispatcher know I called and would asked her to call me back as soon as possible. An hour went by and I still hadn't heard from the dispatcher. I called them back and told them I just wanted to know when and if a technician could get to my house and that I was getting frustrated by their lack of communication. About 15 minutes later their dispatcher finally called me. She told me that the new valve would be $590.00 and then started to try to sell me a service plan. I had to interrupt her to ask her if and when they could get someone to work on my furnace. She got mad at me for interrupting her and told me it would be between 4 - 6 that evening. I wanted to try to salvage some of my work day so I decided to call my regular company and see if they could do any better. I told them the situation, they said that they could get someone to my house within an hour and if the valve needed to be replaced it would cost $250.00, I told them to go ahead and called Falso back to cancel. The technician from the other company showed up and, surprised surprised he did more than just tap on the valve with a flashlight. He inspected the valve and detected some moisture in it. He then found that the condensation drain line had clogged and water had backed up into the valve. He remove the clog, drained out the water and the furnace fired up again without a problem. This took him a total of about 10 minutes. TLDR: Falso's technician did nothing but charge me $106 for a five-minute visit, leave me with a freezing house for a weekend because he couldn't get a part until Monday. They didn't call me back when they said they would, then tried to upsell me a service plan. I called another company and they got my furnace working in about 10 again minutes without needing the new part. read more

My blower fan died and the AC indoor coil froze, so after thawing it out, I paid Falso $99 to diagnose the root cause (did the coil just freeze due to lack of airflow, or was there an AC problem as well?). They said they couldn't diagnose the AC until the blower was fixed, and quoted me a non-refundable $1155 to just replace the blower assembly, or $10500-$18000 to replace the whole AC and furnace, depending on the model I chose. After they left, I slid out the blower assembly myself (just had to take out 2 more screws), and saw that the capacitor mounted next to the blower motor was blackened. I ordered a new one for $10 with Amazon prime, and the blower worked fine again. However, the air it blew was not cold, indicating that the coil freezing due to lack of airflow had apparently damaged the AC as well. I asked Falso to come back out and see if the AC could be fixed without replacing the whole thing, but they wanted another $99 diagnostic fee because they said it was a separate problem from the blower. Instead, I called a couple other companies that gave me free estimates (and confirmed the AC was dead without charging me). I ended up replacing both the AC and furnace with another company for $5600, and I couldn't be happier with it (see my other review). Although they were courteous and professional, I'm very unimpressed with Falso, since they charged me $99 to quote me $1155 to replace a blower that I fixed myself for $10, and their lowest quote on a replacement system was $10500, compared to $5600 and $7200 for the two other quotes I got (the latter was even for the same brand used by Falso). Not sure whether the Falso tech wasn't aware the blower could be fixed by just replacing the capacitor, or if he intentionally didn't mention it so I would choose a more expensive option. Either way, something is lacking in either competence or integrity. Based on my experience, there are better options out there, and you can save hundreds on repairs or thousands on replacement if you call someone else (the other companies I talked to said they would have charged about half the price as Falso just to replace the blower assembly.) read more

Very disappointed. Had a man come to connect new flush control/water shut off and T fitting so a bidet could be hooked up. He stated he did not work on bidets. I explained the bidet was already installed and all he needed to do was connect a T fitting under the toilet once the new water fill/shut off was in place then connect the water lines. He declined saying he could only hook up the water shut off & fill kit. His notes on the ticket are false, I did not ask him to work on the bidet and he did not say he would hook up the bidet water line. I did not sign the ticket. No explanation on why he would not do the hookup only kept saying he didn't work on bidets. Additionally, I was called by someone from Falso 10 minutes before he came saying they would not work bidets, I stated the bidet was in place and all that was needed was the water hookup. That person said talk to the service man about that. As only part of what I wanted to be done I told the service man to leave and I would find someone else to do all the work. Our furnace quit on a Friday morning. My husband called Falso Plumbing & Heating before 8 am and they said someone would be there sometime today and that there is a $99 charge to come out. The tech came out after we had been without heat for over 12 hours, spent less than 15 minutes diagnosing the problem. Told us that we needed an inducer motor and it would cost $1,000. The tech did not have the part, did not know if they had the part in stock, didn't know if it could be fixed over the weekend. I was quite angry and expressed that anger. I also told the tech that I know it was not her fault, but how can Falso send people out that don't know anything and didn't make a call to find out? I am guessing they were put off that I was angry that they did not have the part, angry that we felt they were price gouging and that they could not commit to fixing our furnace over the weekend; the tech said we would be called 1st thing Saturday morning & we received no call as of 6:25 pm Saturday night. I also wanted to know the breakdown of parts to labor, how long it would take to install on the $1,000 quote. Tech didn't know and said that $1,000 is what they charge for this job, the tech DID know it would take 30 to 45 minutes to install. I checked and the part is somewhere between $150 and as high as $500. So if the part was above average at $350, we are talking about $650 for labor on a 30 to 45 minute job. In the Morning I got a call from A very nice lady who set up an appointment for the same day! The serviceman showed up on time and located a broken vent pipe, fixed it and tuned up my heater. The pipe was venting 300 degree plus air against my inner roof instead of outside. Could have been a fire hazard this winter. The tech came out to our house for a service call as our heater wasn't working for 3 days and told me that it was the pilot. It needs to be replaced as well as other parts as they are rusted. I asked if there was anything he could do to fix it temporarily so that my family and I wouldn't be stranded in the freezing cold over Thanksgiving. He said there was nothing he could do as they probably don't even manufacture the part anymore and it would take a while to order if they do still make it. He then had someone come by to give us an estimate on getting a new furnace. The sales guy was very pushy but that's what they are usually like. I then called another company to see if they could give me an estimate on a new furnace as the Falso service tech suggested that. The tech from the other company asked what the issue was, took a look at the unit and said it was the box and that he could fix it right away. An hour later we had heat and it's been working since. The agent on the phone I spoke with to get the appointment with Falso was very rude. Save yourself the money and headache with these guys and call someone else. Update: I was contacted shortly after filing a complaint, and writing this review, to have my money refunded as Falso has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. I have used Falso for over 20 years. I received a phone call indicating that "a technician would be in my area that day and it was time for my annual boiler inspection." I said sure send him. The tech arrived accompanied by a salesman. The tech drilled a hole in my exhaust pipe and measured the carbon monoxide, he said that it was 373 ppm and that my 18 year old boiler heat exchanger had failed and the boiler should be red tagged and replaced without looking any further or opening the boiler. The salesman surveyed the system and prepared a purchase agreement for $11,810. I told them I would get an independent technician to both measure the CO and if the boiler needed replacement I would get another bid in that the salesman had included $1,000 worth of equipment that was functioning fine. The independent technician came 4 days later, noted that the CO measurement was 270 ppm not 373 ppm and opened the inspection cover to find that a piece of refractory had dislodged and was laying against one of the burners interfering with combustion. He reinstalled the refractory and cleaned the burners. He then measured the CO at 37 ppm, well below the utilities company limit of 100 ppm and an order of magnitude lower that the boiler manufacturer's limit of 400 ppm. I contacted the Operations Manager at Falso and explained the situation, including my disatifaction with the technician and the salesman, and notified him that after 20 years I no longer trusted Falso and cancelled my membership in their advantage program. He apologized and arranged to have my charge for the inspection refunded. read more

I just received a second notice, final notice that they referring to collection if I dont pay. My credit union paid them two days after the tech was here. My wife called them after first notice. They still are billing. Called to talk with billing person early this morning and asked her to call me back. Still nothing. I asked for a quote to add a radiator in my upstairs hallway. Sales rep came and tried to convince me to replace boiler and hot water tank. Called with a verbal quote. No specs, no eqt. listed nothing in writing. $7,000. Told him we were not going to buy anything. He got mad and wanted to know why I bothered calling him if I didn't want a new boiler. Reminded him that I wanted a quote on radiator which he never provided. Don't use these people. Update: business office called to say that the person who was doing their billing is no longer with co. They corrected the billing information. Update: In today's mail, six days after I was told not to worry, I received a letter from a collection agency. Right now I am as hot as my boiler. read more

Called them yesterday at 1 PM to request an estimate for a rather large installation of heat pump system on a remodel. They could not provide a defined time to show up, only a 3 hour window for today, 8-11 AM. I agreed. A few hours later I received a one ring call/disconnect on my cell phone from them which I assumed to be somebody's butt dial. Today I waited at the site from 8-11 AM, then called them. They said that they'd made a mistake scheduling me for today and that they'd tried to call me back yesterday but got a disconnect. No one else has trouble reaching my phone and they apparently don't have sufficient professionalism to try a call more than once. They also won't have me for a client. Since this is how they behave when there is lots of money to be made, think about how little interest they will have if your job is small. After spending a few hundred dollars with this company, I called for a free estimate. They wouldnt go to my home to look at the furnace because I could not be present (I was out of state) and even though I arranged for my son to be there. They gladly took my $400 just a few days before for furnace repair without anyone being there. I found the receptionist to be rude and condescending after she asked me if my son was on the mortgage and deed and it was "no problem" if I was not satisfied with their/her attitude and wanted to cancel. She continued to talk over me as though her words were much more relevant than my own. I would hope that any company would be concerned and it would be a problem if they had an unsatisfied paying customer. Falso called me for cleaning, So I agreed. First time they didn't come. Second apt. they were 2 hours late, They didn't call me to let me know, I had to call them. The person who made the apt. said it would take 1 1/2 hours to clean the furnace. It took more like 30 minutes. In addition, I noticed that the dehumidifier wasn't working, I had to ask him to look at that and clean it so it worked properly. Falso plumber came to repair leaking shower faucet.. first thing he said was they don't guarantee work on Koehler faucets,then he said the wall behind the shower would need to be knocked out to fix it. Didn't think that was true, so called another plumber who shut off the water in the basement, and in less than 5 minutes had the faulty part out and came back in an hour and fixed the problem! No wall needed to be torn out! Falso quoted $99 just to come out and look, then added another $100 to the cost after they got here I guess just because,.. they fixed nothing and charged $200. Would not recommend them unless you want to get ripped off! The charge was the least of my problem with the service, it was more that I new exactly what needed to be done, it needed a new cartridge and valve, no wall needed to be opened up, and the repair that I needed cost me$400 completed work by another plumber. Never again!! They advertise 24/7 service. I called last night, Friday to get them to unclog our kitchen sink. They scheduled us for the next day, Saturday morning and gave me a window of 10am-12pm. They even sent me an e-mail to confirm. I waited and waited. Finally at 12:30pm, I called them and asked what was going on. They guy said they were just behind. Finally, at 1:30pm I called again and the lady says, "I'm sorry, someone should have told you. We don't have an on call plumber today.". OMG, seriously?? I spent my entire day off waiting for these people when they had no intention of even coming here. We want to thank everyone at Falso. Our old boiler needed replacing ASAP due to a fire, in the middle of winter. They gave us excellent advice, and did the installation of a new boiler, pumps, etc. all in one day. Joe and Cory worked their tails off from 8:00am to nearly 7:00pm to get the furnace up and running perfectly. This is a old house. They needed 3 guys to get the new boiler down the narrow basement steps and remove the old. The final outcome is awesome, looks beautiful. They know what they're doing! Warning, not honest!!, had a service call for our air conditioner. Was told it was old and not worth fixing (it was frozen), sales person showed up right as tech was leaving, I knew he was coming because tech told me before he even looked at my unit. I was told by tech that I needed a new air conditioner because they no longer were able to do a recharge and it most certainly had a leak and it would cost me as much to find the leak as to purchase new. He did offer me what he called a "back warehouse deal" where I could pay $500 per pound should a recharge be needed and if I agreed to that maybe they could "find" some in the back of their warehouse, even though he said it is against the law for them to do that anylonger. The tech also said he wanted to prepare me that it would be expensive. Charged me for a service call and diagnostic fee even though he said he would come back the next day to do the actual diagnosis but he wanted to make it "easier for me" and not have to pay twice.. I was dumb enough to believe him and paid. The sales guy shows and says "I heard you got bad news today" They had not even diagnosed it yet! up and gives me a quote for over $8K to replace my air conditioner. By now I became concerned. I had a second opinion who told me that he would not be able to sleep at night if I purchased a new air conditioner. Which he could have easily sold and installed for $4K according to his quote. It needed to be CLEANED and he was able to tell by bending down and looking up the air flow spaces! which were clogged with grass!! He had me up and running for $89. I sent a message to Falso letting them know what I had experienced, got an email from Jason saying he would like to discuss. I left a time frame when I would be home. Guess what he never called! this was several weeks ago. I will never again refer business to them as I have many times, in the several prior years I have used them. Excellent service call for a furnace issue from Garrett and Alexander. Garrett found it to be a minor problem, and quickly resolved it. They explained it clearly, I experienced no pressure, price was excellent and as a result of their professionalism, I signed up for a yearly service contract. I set up an appointment online for an estimate too have my split mini air conditioning and heating unit Installed, which the person told me they did. The appointment was for between 11 am and 2 pm. The person online told me that the installer would call me a half hour before he comes out. I waited and waited and finally someone from the company called me at 2 oclock. I was very upset when she told me that they couldn't make it today even though they set up the appointment. She then proceded too tell me that they wont install a unit that isn't there unit. I told her that the person online that set up the appointment told me that the company does do installs of your own unit. So now ive wasted a whole day sitting here waiting for them and I find out that they wont install my unit because I didn't buy it from them. I will never contact this company again too have any work done. read more
