I placed the order online, hoping the staff could come through within one day -- on Valentine's Day of all days, a date when any floral shop might not have the time or resources to help. Well, did this crew come through! I called the next morning and learned that my order had been assembled first thing, and that the staff took seriously my request to have the flowers delivered by a specific time. I had noted that my grandma might take a moment to reach the door, and when she didn't answer, I received a phone call from the woman delivering the flowers asking whether it would be OK to leave them. And then she told me, in specific detail, where on the porch she had placed them, to ensure that they wouldn't be stolen. She told me the arrangement was beautiful, and it was: When relatives texted me a photo later that day, I saw flowers that exceeded my expectations. When I contacted my grandma, she told me she couldn't get over how beautiful they were. This experience is emblematic of why it's important to support local businesses: The staff at this fine shop care deeply about their work, and that fact is reflected in every aspect of the customer experience. I've even found a cute plant for sale now and then. They have a whole section on scrap booking stuff, pottery, jewelry. The only thing I really dislike is the older lady that works there. She is so sour and looks at you with a frown at all times, I'm not sure if she's the owner or a worker bee, but either way, she is not good for business. Maybe be a little friendlier to the people coming into your shop to spend their money? I'm still leaving a good star rating because the selection itself in the store is nice (although some things are way too overpriced).
