I asked if he could get one with the Soulmate package and he told me there were none available in the entire western United States. Ten minutes later I found 4 dealerships in the Bay Area alone that had what I"d asked for and also offered a 4.99% interest rate. No use working any further Kia Serramonte. Luckily a salesman at the Dublin Kia was straightforward, responsive, gave accurate information, gave me a price $1,500 less, and did not try to sell me anything that I didn't ask for .We did it all in a few hours. I called Kia to find out what type of glass was in my windshield/ car windows: The "break the glass " safety tools for when you're trapped inside ONLY work on TEMPERED glass. This review is for a Kia service visit. It was at 711 Serramonte Blvd. (I think this location was closed. We went to the VW location across the street which was servicing Kias.) We received a safety recall notice to replace the fuel rail. We made an appointment. They said it will take all day. So we made an appointment to drop off the car first in the morning. They didn't call before the appointment so I called the day before, to make sure that they had all the replacement parts, and that there were going to be no surprises on the day of the appointment. They confirmed they had everything, all was good for our appointment the next day. I didn't ask them to check the quality of the new parts. This is a learning lesson for me! When we picked up the car at the end of the day, they said the new O shaped ring was damaged and the fuel rail replacement wasn't complete. They ordered a new O shaped ring. We had to go back in one week. We went back and then it was finally done. We thought this was all going to be done in one day. Very disappointed that it took us TWO visits. We just don't have the time or the interest to go to the Kia service center twice in one week. It's a long drive for us to get there. Such a hassle! So unless you have a lot of extra time driving back and forth to Kia, call in advance and ask for them to confirm that your car parts are in the shop AND ASK them to inspect the parts that they have for your repair. I wish I had done that. read more

Service appointments take forever. Made appointments for oil changes and they took 4 hours to complete. Took car there for an interval service which is really an oil change and inspection. And that took 8 hours to complete. Just way too long. read more

I had the worse experience with roadside assistance and the tow they sent out for my flat tire, but Andrew was so calm and patient with answering all my concerning questions. From trying to figure out where they towed my car (which wasn't at the dealership like agreed), to assuring me to not worry and that the job will be taken care of. Which in fact, was done amazingly. Update as of August 5, 2022: Someone (Alham) lied again and stated they would contact me regarding my key I never received and the damage their detail shop caused. I've contacted KIA via telephone and email without resolve. I would never suggest anyone buy a KIA from Serramonte they are liars and will avoid you at all costs. I kept my world to Esmeralda and was accommodating to her as well as the dealership. All she and the dealership has done is lied and avoided all forms of contact. She and the General Manager (Jim) are worthless liars who I hope will get fired. (Original review - May 2022) My overall experience with Serramonte Kia was horrible. I recently purchased a 2022 KIA EV6 after speaking with the Assistant General Manager and negotiating a price. Even though I reserved an EV6 with Dublin KIA for MSRP with a $0 markup, I gave my word to her that I would purchase with Serramonte Kia. She appeared to want to work with me within my budget, and it reduced the time in waiting for a vehicle since I wanted to have my visitation with my son. One the day I purchased the vehicle, it took over 3 hours to clean the car, and the detail shop did the worse job possible. There was plastic throughout my car, the outside was not properly washed, and the inside was not detailed. While the detail shop took their time doing nothing to the vehicle, the salesman looked for the second key to the car and then assured me that the dealership would order me an additional key. (Nearly two months, and I am still waiting on it.) I have spoken with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager multiple times about my vehicle and only have received empty promises to resolve the issues. Issues: 1. Detail shop damaged the roof near the antenna. 2. Dealer did not place the front license plate correctly, and the clear coat is damaged. 3. Second vehicle key was never given to me nor ordered. I have given this dealership multiple chances to correct these issues, and they do not show any interest in practicing ethical business methods to resolve anything. Hi Alham, Thank you for your post. I appreciate your understanding. My husband worked out an MSRP - all cash agreement with a sales agent in Fremont. We showed up, the salesman was out, and another agent took over. 1. He brought the car and it was very dusty inside and had some bird droppings on the outside--unlike Serramonte, this dealership did not keep the car clean. 2. The agent dismissed the agreement we had and would only give us MSRP if we agreed to financing for 6 months. 3. We didn't want the hassle or potential hidden costs in financing (e.g. a prepayment penalty). The agent left us for 20+ minutes, so he could "talk to his manager." My husband saw him go in and out of the manager's office several times and complete work at his own desk. Making a customer wait is a tactic some car sales agents use to manipulate the customer. 4. My husband went to the agent and asked again. Only dealer financing would give the MSRP option. So we left. What I appreciate now about Serramonte 1. You keep your cars clean--customers appreciate this. It's a big expense, and everyone wants their new car to look pretty. 2. The owner was transparent that he wanted $2-3K more (he gave an exact number that I no longer remember) and then he would sell for MSRP. No games or deception. read more

My daughter bought her Kia optima in here on the 21st May ( yes MAY ) with a seized engine and now three months and $2100 on rental cars still not done and according to Wilson the service director there is a recall in relation to this problem and they are just waiting for Kia to approve the new engine. This lease process was awful and a farce. The agreed deal with the salesman, then slightly altered by his sales manager, ballooned by another $150/month, and an additional 1000 down, at the finance office. At this point, every known shady dealer tactic was employed on us. This wasn't in any way transparent, but not beyond the pale, so we agreed to the new prices. But it didn't end there. A key part of the agreed deal was the termination of the lease on the current vehicle, which had 2 payments remaining. The verbal agreement was that the turn in process was done without further hassle nor payment. Something like a week later, still ANOTHER Serramonte finance manager contacted my boyfriend asking what our preferred disposition of the turn-in vehicle was. The choices were to term the lease, or to 'sell back' the vehicle to another dealership, which this finance manager said was already arranged and would be zero further costs. Again, this was AFTER the agreed deal, made on the purchase date, was 'to sign some paperwork with Mazda leasing' and it is done. Once I arrived to the other dealer, where Serramonte had deposited the turn-in vehicle, to complete this paperwork, the team there had zero knowledge of this supposedly prearranged deal, and of course, the Serramonte manager that arranged this was not contactable. Thus, we were charged an additional $850 to end this farce. Between the two parts of this transaction, we were mislead in so many different ways. Either the Serramonte VW/Kia/Subaru is intentionally shady, or wildly incompetent and lacking accountability. Most likely is a combination of those. We strongly do not recommend purchasing or leasing from them. read more

I was curious about the EV6, so I rented one from Hertz for a road trip. If you get a chance to do that instead of a conventional test drive, I highly recommend it. You learn so much more about a car when you spend a few days with it. My friend and I both fell in love with the EV6. I then spent more hours than I want to admit reading up on it and watching YouTube reviews, and decided on the trim I wanted: a GT-Line AWD in Pearl White with the vegan suede interior. I checked the inventory on the Kia website and saw that Serramonte Kia had that exact model on the lot. So I called and asked to talk with a salesperson who is an EV6 enthusiast like me. Wow, did they deliver. The nice receptionist connected me with Zell Allen, who drives an EV6 himself and is very familiar with the car. I don't think there is a question I could ask that he couldn't answer. I was also interested in leasing. Zell leases his car and was able to advise me from first hand experience. So now I have a new EV6 of my own. It is by far the best car I have ever had! If you are interested in an EV6, or any Kia, you will do well to talk with Zell. read more

This place is among the worst for service but unfortunately there isnt another Kia close by. On more than one occassion I have called to make an appointment and the receptionists fail to schedule it, only tk show up and having to come back. When I have taken it in for service and/or safety recalls, theh leave loose screws everywhere and even pieces of the interior dislodged. Most recently the receptionist hung up while I was on hold because yet again they failed to properly schedule. Needless to say, I have to visit often because the car is trash just like the service. But they are quick to sell you on the extended warranty that they dont intend to honor. Go elsewhere and avoid buying a Kia. read more
