For service department only, we have not and probably will not purchase a car here. We had an older car (blue books at 3k) with power issues which had a code pop up. After spending $900+ they said it was fixed. Approximately a week later, same code, same problem. The technician who helped us the first time no longer works there. The new service person quoted $3k to fix it. They wanted to charge us for "diagnosis" but kindly waived the fee since we had already paid for it once before. Maybe its the car, but my spidey senses were telling me this was not the place for us. Our other car is a Toyota and their service department has been pretty epic, so I have to go with my gut. I don't think I would recommend this place for repairs. So if you know a good mechanic, let me know! I still have two more chevys that will need service soon. read more

Do NOT trust this dealership. I was told by the salesman, Matt Tupa, the car I purchased was in "excellent condition." That was a complete misrepresentation. When the vehicle arrived, it had multiple dents, scratches, and paint chips that were never disclosed. I immediately took the car to a repair shop, and they quoted me $5,000 to fix the damage. When I contacted the dealership and spoke to the Sales Manager, Ryan Dillingham, he refused to take responsibility or offer any resolution. Hiding damage and exaggerating the condition of a car is dishonest and unacceptable. HORRIBLE. do not take your vehicle here first they had it for 8 days they told us they would have it 4 days max. I had to call and check on my vehicle to see if it was ready the lady said oh yeah it is, so ok for how long had it been ready?? they quoted us a price, of what we would have to pay after what our extended warranty would cover when I went to pick up it was like $300 more of what we were told which they did fix. after leaving here we still needed our shocks fixed I found a better shop and felt more comfortable taking it to them, told them everything serra, chevy fixed which one of the things was the oil pan this dealership did it wrong even have pictures to prove. would not take your car here!!!! down low you will see excessive silicone, which other the shop we took it to said this could cause engine problems. so let's hope it will not be the case. we will be calling our warranty company to let them know & also chevy. read more

I don't even know where to start, so from the top it is. I would NEVER send someone to this dealership. I have never in my life experienced anything like this, or been so taken advantage of/frauded- whatever verbiage you'd like to use. A tree fell on my car so I had to get a new one. In May (it's now November), I purchased a 2016 Volvo XC90. Knowing this car is used- I specifically asked what has been inspected, what's wrong, etc; you know, the normal. The sales man hands me a piece of paper with about 4 things that have been "fixed"- and I say great but I'd like to see the inspection check list. He says this is how they do theirs, they just tell you what was "fixed" and that means nothing else was wrong. Weird, but okay? We go back and forth a little more about it till I finally just believe him (dumb girl). I end up saying yes, this is the car I want, it's the size and price I was looking for. Yay! I go to my bank for a loan and while I'm there they say "make sure this car hasn't been through a flood since I see it came from Florida. It's a very small bank, like a family so they look out for us like that. I go back to the dealership with check in had and have a few last minute questions one of which being "has this car ever been through flooding?" to which I was told, straight to my face, "no". Great, I guess let's do this thing then. We go to the financing department and I do all the paper work. The guy ends up requesting a new license plate and registration, but I had JUST registered my old car about 3 weeks before so we were just transferring it to this new car. I correct him he says sorry and he fixes it and I sign my paperwork. Three days later, my car lights up like a Christmas tree. Oh boy. I go to O'Reilly's, had them do a diagnostic and they says it's sending a misfire code back. Okay cool I call the dealership and the take it in. They say oh you have a cracked spark plug so we changed them all for you. (Side note i'm about 97%positive that paper I mentioned earlier said the plugs were changed). Cool the next day I go get the car and when I get home- lights everywhere. I call back they take it back this time they say it's the cold start coil- they have to order the part and it will be ready soon- about a week later, they call saying it's ready. I get there, they say sorry we started it and the check engine light came on again. Now they send it to Volvo. We go back and forth over the next 2ish weeks one time they say that it's actually the windshield that is making the lights pop on. That Volvos have wiring in their windows that connect to the car and if you get a new windshield, it can make the car misread. They say that basically i'm going to have to deal with, and that it's probably done that for a while, it's just picks and chooses when, that's why isn't wasn't lit up when I first drove the car. Lol car must have been having a good week. I refuse to take the car back because I wouldn't have both it if the light was on and this is when they start getting a little pissy. They start saying things like "we have gone above and beyond for you" "most dealerships would never do this after a car is bought", "you didn't even but any insurance and were still doing this" (false, I specially asked about an additional dealership warranty's and they said the car wasn't eligible because of its age). They even said "we've done everything we can do what if we give you 1,000 additional". I said no. Because, just no. They say okay fine we will talk more to Volvo and see what else we can do with a deeper dive. Turns out- corrosion. "The car had been flooded during the detailing and we didn't know". You're kidding me. Flooded. We get it fixed. I'm nice, I'm understanding, I'm patient. I choose to go about my life and not write a review. We drive the car up to north east Ohio, down to south Alabama they day after I get it back (trip has been planned for months). It's fine. I start noticing little glitches, but honestly I chalk it up to just it being an older car. Now it's September- the car lights up again. I don't even bother with the dealership I just get a diagnostic done again, and surprise. Misfire code. Take it to get looked at and guess what was never changed? Spark plugs lol; and breaks. We change them there's still lights on. At this point I'm just so over it, I just don't even care anymore I deal with it myself- Serra won't help. Then I get a call. This is honestly the last straw. We have your plate here at the dealership. My car was NEVER register to me, I have been driving it for almost 6 months. They never transferred my plate and registration over. I said they need to fix it I will Not be picking up that other plate. Currently waiting on someone to call me back. Story to be continued. read more

Brought my truck into Serra Chevrolet service department due to a popping noise in my front suspension. Was told I needed to pay 20,000$ for a new frame because of a loose bolt enlarging a bolt hole in the frame. Towed it to a different mechanic who fixed it for 407$ and said the bolt hole is elongated per the design but not enlarged any more than it should be. It was simply a loose bolt in the lower control arm and missing pin out of the cam. Serra refused to file a claim through my warranty and urged me to file a claim through my insurance. Be very careful with these people. They're either incompetent or crooked. The operations manager doesn't care about the technicians bs diagnoses. read more

I bought my Chevrolet Traverse in early 2018 from Serra Chevrolet in Nashville and have been going to Serra Chevrolet for Service since then as well. On Saturday, July 6, that service relationship ended and I am in the market for a new Chevrolet service dealer. They did something unforgiveable. On Saturday, June 29 I woke up and saw very low tire pressure on my front driver tire. After a brief inspection of the tire, I saw a screwhead and thought a screw must have punctured and is causing the air leak. I went over to Serra right after they opened at 7am. I showed the service advisor the nail and he said we can probably put a patch on it. I told him I was getting a ride home and did not need my car until Monday, July 1. When I went to pick up my car on Monday July 1, tire pressure readings on the console display were normal and I paid $26.38 for a "flat tire repair". It was $18 Labor, $5 for the actual patch and the rest was tax. I drove the Traverse 12 miles on Monday, 80 miles on Tuesday and 80 miles on Wednesday. On Friday, July 5, I got in the car to run a quick errand and only made it 400 feet before my front driver tire was completely flat. My husband, daughter and I put the spare donut on and again on Saturday, July 6 I went to Serra Chevrolet and explained how the tire patch must have failed after driving it 3 days that week and assumed I would need a whole new tire. When I went to talk to the Service Advisor after waiting this time, she questioned whether I had actually had the patch done the previous Saturday. I had the receipt with me showing it was and she also confirmed by looking it up in their computer system. Then she had one of the mechanics roll my flat tire out and showed me that there is no way the tire had ever been patched. I took photos of the hole in the tire. She then said that they would compensate my labor for this visit due to no evidence of a patch repair the week before. I assumed the Labor for a new tire would be higher than the $18+$5 I paid for the previous Saturday which is good because I paid for no actual work on Saturday, June 29. But the Labor amount was the same, $18. I had to ask the cashier to pull the receipt out of the trash to check. I had been there 3 hours and was tired and still a bit in shock that my tire was never really repaired on June 29 and so I paid and left. On Sunday, July 7, I was walking around my driveway and saw a screw. I picked it up and by the looks of the size of the head and comparing it to the photos I took on Sat. July 6, put together that on Friday July 5 the screw had finally got pushed out of the tire and that is why it finally went completely flat. What process on Sat. June 29 was skipped so that I was charged for a repair that was never done? Why wasn't I refunded the full amount of June 29 on July 6 when they realized I actually had zero work done on June 29? How unsafe was I driving to work in Brentwood on Tuesday, July 2 and Wed. July 3 with a screw in my tire that could have blown out at any time like it finally did in my driveway on July 5? Could I have gotten a patch on Saturday July 6 instead of a whole new tire? Terrible miss and terrible customer service all around. read more

Communication and Customer Service is poor at best. In Person, I scheduled a known all day appointment 2-3 weeks prior to taking my auto in. upon arrival with the auto the appointment was no longer showing in their system. Had I not had the card and papers in hand from the day I scheduled, the same person that scheduled my auto was going to turn me away. I was also told they would return me to my residence with a courtesy ride if needed and when asked about the 10 mile ride home was told to call an Uber or Lyft. This turned into an Unplanned walk home because of miscommunication from their staff, when I caught a ride to pick up the auto before closing it wasn't finished and had to remain over the weekend. Bottom Line customer service is poor and service prices are high. In the future I will be taking my business and recommending friends their business elsewhere! read more

After he and the salesman agreed he would come back in a couple hours to complete paperwork and pick up the truck, it was pretty much a done deal. He was so happy about this truck. Erie Insurance adjuster recommended I take my Tahoe to this dealer for repairs. My front end was badly damaged. They had my truck for about 6 weeks. W/hen I picked it up there was an empty water bottle left in the console and some other trash around the driver's seat. I have had the car back for a week now and it is NOT repaired. The steering is not right. When I drive on the highway it shakes badly. At the start I was dealing with Kim B. She made me feel very comfortable; like I matter. Unexpectedly, I was being directed to Jennifer, a manager. Immediately it felt like I was a burden; just a number on her todo list. Bought a used 2023 GMC 1500. It has been nothing but issues since I got it. I've taken it back for repairs 5 times in 60 days. The dealership has had the truck around 12 days in that time. Various issues on an almost $60,000 truck. Also the tailgate started opening and I lost around $2,000 in tools. It is currently back at the dealership for more repairs. They are saying they caused these current issues but I did ask them to buy the truck back or give me a"deal" on a trade. They offered me almost $5000 less than I paid for it and $0 on movement on another truck that I liked. All this to say, anyone looking to buy from this dealership should think twice. Their after sale service isn't great. I've talked to almost every manager here, only one was polite but none were willing to see this situation from my point of view. I went into Serra Chevrolet used car department two days before Christmas. Been looking for a used truck found the one that I wanted to check all the boxes for what I was looking for. Went on a lengthy test ride with the salesman Austin, brought the truck back to the dealer and told him I had something to do and I'll be back in a couple hours for the truck to fill out the paperwork. While I was doing what I needed to do, I had texted back-and-forth with Austin. A couple of times had a couple of questions I wanted answered. He texted back with the answers to my questions. Couple hours later I went back to fill out the paperwork and pick up the truck like I said, and they sold the truck out from under me! Now I sure can with the guy told him I wanted the truck and I was going to be back for it. it was only a couple of hours. He then gives me the BS excuse it's first come first serve! Well, I was there earlier than the guy that ended up buying the truck! So apparently first come first service complete bullshit I gave them one chance to make it right and he basically told me you were out of luck too bad the truck is fair game and another salesman told me unless you put a deposit on it. The truck is fair game! If that were the case, why the hell wouldn't he ask me for a deposit when he knew I was going to take the truck! I will never buy another vehicle from that shady scumbag dealership again, it's pretty sad when you shake hands look someone directly in the eye, and then they turn around and stab you in the back no sooner than you're off the lot! Apparently the word is shit! The veteran owned and operated and you would think that a business owned by a veteran would absolutely insist their salesman uphold the highest standards of honesty and keep their word! Was Looking to purchase a used 2019 Corvette Z06 they had, I drove 7 hours 1 way (I told the salesman I would be at the store at 11am) I arrived as I stated. The windshield was being replaced( the car was torn apart, was able to see the dash and its leather surface that was peeling off) the car was hideously dirty (especially at being priced at $85k). I left, came back 2.5 hrs later and the car was in clean up. I waited another 30 minutes and still never seen the car. I left, the salesman Paul Phillips calls me 20 mins later (this was after I texted him telling him I was done waiting) telling me it was ready. The lack of the used car staff is pathetic, the manager apologized, but the waste of my time and driving 14 hours for a car that should NOT have been listed for sale, this was irritating and extremely unprofessional to say the least. I took the notes and explain to them that it was a wiring problem with the rear lights touching the exhaust which caused a wiring and fuse problem. Instead they told me all I needed was my oil levels to be adjusted and a flush. When I picked up the car after paying $600 I discovered my back light was not working and when I Returned it.. I purchased some touch up paint from Serra Chevrolet for my red Camaro. I picked it up while I was having my car serviced there last month. Unfortunately, someone hit my car and the insurance company decided to total it. I used the insurance payment to purchase a new/used Camaro in a different color. When I called the parts department to inquire about an exchange, the associate said they would not help me because they do not normally carry that color in stock, claiming that was their policy even though the item was unused, in its original packaging, and I had the receipt. When I expressed that this policy was ridiculous, the associate hung up on me. I did not raise my voice, use profanity, or call him any names. He simply hung up. Now I will vote with my wallet by never getting my new Camaro or any other vehicle serviced there due to this shortsighted policy and the behavior of the associate. read more

It drove good until we got halfway into Lebanon, TN the service engine light comes on, so we had to drive the truck very slow too Cookeville, Tn. I took the vehicle to the Nissan Dealership found out that the truck was no good, at all the people at the Dealership stated that it was going to cost about $12,000.00 to get it fix. That tells you when you buy a vehicle, please make sure that you that you take to a mechanic and get it check thoroughly. I will never buy another car from them. I thought when people offer you extended warranties, they give you an option to give you. but this place doesn't give you that much option for anything. I went into the Serra Dealership for my routine oil change like usual. I had a good wait as I went in late and without an appointment. They did not turn me away, but worked me into the schedule. I have a Chevy Cruze Diesel and had it serviced at the dealership I originally made my purchase in Springfield, however it takes them three times as long to complete my oil than Serra, stating it is harder to gain access to the pan, ect. Anyhow, I was walking around looking at some vehicle in the showroom. I have a 10 month old and the Cruze is a little cramped in the backseat. There was a crossover, compact SUV I looked at and sent a picture of to my husband joking with him about the size of our vehicle. He suggested I look into trading our current vehicle in for it. In that time I spent in the dealership it was suggested to speak to Ken Hayes, by the curtesy shuttle operator. So I thought, no harm in checking. We certainly didn't want to end up with a bigger payment, no fair trade in on our current car and did not I want to deal with a pushy sales person. Let's be honest, we all know the type, and when you're a woman alone inquiring about a vehicle, it's easy to be pushed around and get sucked in to something that's not right for you or your family at all. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. Ken was fair, polite and most important of all to me, up front and straight to the point. I let him know I wasn't there to waste anyone's time, here is what I want, here is what I need, here is what I can afford. There were no number games, no hard negotiations and more over he didn't make me feel uncomfortable about calling my husband and keeping him in the loop of what we were discussing as he couldn't be with me at the dealership. Needless to say, I went in for an oil change, they gave me a more than fair deal on our trade in. I left with a new 2018 vehicle and a payment almost 100.00 less a month and more car than what I had. I have been looking for a used/certified truck for about 1 -2 weeks. I have been back and forth to Serra Chevrolet used Cars since I started looking. Looked at a couple of trucks, haven't had any luck finding the right truck yet. I've told the salesman what dollar range I was looking to be in and FINALLY found a truck I really wanted to get. Took it for a long test drive with the salesman and told him I wanted it. I had a few errands to run and told him I would be back in the afternoon to get it. I texted a couple times during the day, questions I still had, and headed back to the dealership to do paperwork and pick up the truck. BUT, when I arrived he said he had good and bad news. I just looked at him when he said, "someone else bought that truck!" I was LIVID! After two weeks of running back and forth, KNOWING I was going to buy this truck and they sold it out from under me!!! Wasting my time driving back there!!! It is complete BS! I was thinking gosh I hope this does not take long. But before I could even get the car in park, Brian one of the service guys comes over to my window and says well hello Faith. Mark Musgrove, personally I feel is the person to speak to if you want an honest, no sugar coating type of sale person to get you in the vechile you want. The first time I met Mark my wife, my 3 year old son and I literally walked into the dealership (carrying a car seat on my shoulder) in a desprite need of a vechile as we had literally been screwed by one of those fly by night dealerships on a used car. We literally walked in there, my credit at the time was horrible but long story short Mark did everything he could and we ended up driving off the lot in a brand new 2014 chevy in 2014. Here we are in 2017, credit not much better then before looking to trade in that vechile. My wife had one she saw on the website she wanted. Mark did everything he could for us once again and we ended up driving off in our New 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback, the exact one my wife wanted even with our terrible credit. Not to mention that, he Informed us we could get a check from the left over balance on our easy care coverage from our 2014 trade in, which after receiving translated into over $600 back to us! The process was very easy and the sales consultant was very nice. After having my vehicle for a few months I had to replace my battery and alternator. I didn't contact Serra, because it was a used vehicle. Well before I even had the car a year my transmission went out. I contacted the sales consultant that sold me the vehicle he constantly gave me the run around. He kept saying he would call me back and didn't. After numerous times of calling and getting the same thing from him I left a complaint. I was contacted and got an appointment with a manager. The manager stated he would find someone to help me, but they weren't responsible because it had been a year. I contacted before my year, but they didn't give me a call until after my year. read more

Zero stars--I will never ever drive any car on that lot again for anything. Had front brakes and rotors done. Brakes still had a loud squeak. When I took the car back, the opposite side squeaked badly and one rotor was coated black. They claim that they do not have coated rotors. So one rotor was coated and one was regular, and squeaked badly and they wouldn't do anything about it. I paid for very bad service. I ended up settling for two rotors 'in hand' because they wanted to charge me to change them. I already paid for that service. When I first went for this repair The salesman told me that he had to bring his brake guy out of retirement, but of course he does not remember telling me that. I also told him that something was loose in my front end but he told me that they will check that 'next time'. I can get a brake job anywhere but I went to the dealership knowing that it would be done right--I was wrong! read more
