Feel free to get a 19.95% auto loan here. And a $3500 car warranty. Yes. They are not honest.

I had a TERRIBLE experience at Town/Country Ford in Madison, TN. Here's why:…read more1) They charged 3480.00 to install a 150.00 water pump on my 2017 Ford Escape! I was forced to go to a dealership because they had the tools to do the job, which my local car repair did not. 2) When I wanted to get a detailed summary of why the cost was so much, I could not get anyone to talk to me or call me back soon. They put me on hold, they sent me to voice mail, finally a store manager came on the line and got on to ME for being upset because their was only one man working the service line and I should just be more patient (he implied the patience I should have). It is hard to be patient when you've just been told your repair would be 3480.00 with NO understanding of why! 3) Anyone who is not in the know about car repairs at the dealership must be given a heads up about what they charge for labor: approx. 295.00/hour! This is common courtesy! 4) I was so upset the man who was running the service line (by himself) said they would give me something off. When I got there to pick up my car, the cashier knew nothing about this promise. Again, I was upset at the poor treatment. Also, I see a sign that says "a 3% charge for any debit or credit card used, 3.00 for every 100.00." Again, a hardship, since when does a company with big repair costs ask their customers to pay extra just to use a credit/debit card? I ended up getting a 10% discount, because I demanded they make good on what I was told. This was helpful for sure, but I wondered at why I had to be put through all the stress and high costs in order to get 10% off. If you come to this business, be ready for a huge bill and lots of stress.

I never received subpoena and had no knowledge of court date since their lawyer never responded to my request for more information regarding the debt. Landon the apparent owner of this location is the biggest duchebag I've ever ran into. It blows my mind how he is still in business. He had the wrong location listed on the Apple maps. When we showed up trying to find the location the very respectful lady on the phone already knew where we were... It added an additional 20 minutes to drive back the way we came to arrive during traffic. So a total of 40 minutes wasted. I was informed I needed to have the insurance company name and contact in order to rent a vehicle. Upon arrival Landon told me that was wrong. (4pm on a. Friday) He informs me my agent needs to send a document proving I have insurance... their office was closed. We get around the insurance part and I ask for a few bucks off for the time and gas for driving around the city since the address is wrong. He then proceeds to cuss me out and yell at me how I was something from nothing. That he pays a company to keep the addresses up to date. And as an owner of the business, it's not his fault it's wrong. And the proceeds to tel me to F off and get out. I'm glad I decided to book a van for a trip that ended with me having three cars carpool because Landon is a terrible excuse for a business owner. The girls there were nice and you could see how uncomfortable they were with Landon.

First, this review is an HONEST ACCOUNT of my experience with this company and my knowledge of the…read morebusiness from the point of view of the buyer. MY OPINION IS NOT FOR SALE. As I was reading these bad reviews, it was truly frustrating. So many of the problems people have written about were THEIR OWN mistakes. 1. When looking at online pricing, read EVERYTHING written on the website and in the terms of service that might impact the price. If they say the price may change if you don't finance with them, then expect a higher price. 2. Tell them before you buy that you want to take it to YOUR mechanic to look over. That is standard in the used auto business. If they say no, leave. 3. Warranties are only as good as the people offering them. I never buy a warranty. A car purchase is a major investment. Why wouldn't you do a Carfax to see how many people have owned the car or if it's been in an accident? Why wouldn't you, if at all possible, not contact the previous owner? Sometimes that is not an option, but sometimes it is. 4. Establish your budget before you go and hold to it no matter what a dealership person says. If they talk you into something you end up regretting, that is your own dang fault. 5. Most of all, NEVER fall in love with a vehicle. You ALWAYS have to be willing to walk off the lot. Negotiate the price you want, give them your budget, and if they cannot meet it, then leave. 6. The responsibility to get the deal you want is SQUARELY ON YOUR SHOULDERS. If you go to buy a vehicle and you are unprepared, then you must take responsibility for your mistakes. 7. NEVER spend hours at a car dealership sitting in a lobby or waiting on some manager. YOU are the buyer. If you don't get immediate help at every stage of this experience, tell them you are taking your money somewhere else. Remember, ALL car dealerships, whether used or new, are going to try to get as much money out of you as they can. In our 35+ year marriage (at the time), my spouse and I had never had a credit card or bought anything on credit except our home. It wasn't that we had a bad credit score, we pretty much had NO credit score. These people took a chance on us and gave us a good deal on a great car, and financed it. That was about 10 years ago. It is a beautiful vehicle. I still own it and it has run beautifully ever since. I did all of the things I mentioned above and got a good deal. Our credit score is now more than 800 and we have been able to buy our forever dream home. We could have never achieved that if this dealership had not taken a chance on a couple who previously did not believe in financing things. We had always paid cash for our cars, but this was a car I wanted that was a little out of our cash price range but still fit our overall budget. Of course, there was a short battle of give and take as to be expected; I don't think they were expecting a disabled old grandmother being as tough on them in negotiations as they were on me, but we quickly fell into a comfortable relationship of mutual respect. I would buy from them again in a heartbeat. HOWEVER, I would NEVER expect them to give me anything. Any advantages or deals I want I WILL HAVE TO TAKE, and that happens by 1. being prepared, 2. doing my due diligence,, 3. having my own mechanic do a thorough check of the vehicle, and 4. sticking to my budget no matter what anyone there says. Oh, and NEVER discuss your credit score or give them ANY financial information other than your budget until you are at the point of sale. Your credit score, your salary and your financial information IS NONE OF THEIR BUSINESS until you are at the point of sale. ONLY THEN do you provide them with only what they need to complete the sale. And, NEVER provide financial info if you are paying cash. Most of all: you MUST be willing to walk away. THAT IS THE FOUNDATION ON WHICH YOUR EXPERIENCE IS BASED. Always Always ALWAYS be ready and willing to walk away.

Extremely odd and shady feeling experience. Worked out a price with the promise the scratch would be like it never existed, also was told they would knock $1000 off if I financed and could pay it off after 3 months. Go back the next day to do a final walk around and to finalize the purchase, they then say they can't fix the scratch/ding because it will not match (this was odd and BS), also looked at how they wanted to finance and it was going to cost $1400 more in interest by going this route so the $1000 less was actually $400 more. I had shopped with them years ago and had a bad vibe but was told they had new ownership and had new practices, obviously that is not the case. After reviewing the carfax it had some very odd transfers and notes, feel as if it may had been more to the story than told.
