Different angle of the finished piece
    Kimberly C.

A few months ago, we contacted Aaron at Serious Craftmanship, for a quote on a wood countertop. It was our summer DIY project of creating a built-in entertainment center, which needed a very long solid piece to finish it off. Aaron told us we could go over to the shop and look at wood to get an idea of the type we would want. We met Kendl, and one of her coworkers , who were great to meet and talk with. Over the next few months as the project got into production Kendl kept us informed on progress until the product was done and ready for delivery. We ordered it unfinished so we could match the rest of our project and we installed ourselves. Aaron and his crew are the nicest people , super friendly and helpful and the name Serious Craftmanship reflects the work they do, we're very pleased with the results.

These are the barn doors they installed for me.

    DIGN Homes

Finding a good handyman, repairman, carpenter, etc. can be arduous, but I finally found one; Nick…read moreMowery of DIGN Homes. This was the second job he did for me. The first job was rebuilding a balcony, which he did in a single day at an affordable price with expert workmanship. Nick is highly conscientious, dependable, thorough, & honest, & his prices are highly competitive. He also does work that's second to none. As far as pricing goes, I'd rather pay a little more for a top quality job than to pay a bargain price for a job that turned out to be mickey-mouse; i.e., crappy. In the case of the latter, it would only cost more in the long run to have the job re-done the right way. He will not overcharge you. His prices are fair. Instead of merely doing patch-work, Nick filled the two walls with rebar & concrete. Although time-consuming, that is the best way to ensure sturdiness & durability. Then, he added stucco to match the original stucco & matching paint. There isn't any job that DIGN Homes cannot do, & I give you my word that you will be thoroughly satisfied with the results. MY RATING OF HIS WORK: From 1 to 10 with 10 being best, I give DIGN Homes a 10+, which is as good as a AAA+ rating.

Only concern was that I had to go outside when I heard them yelling for me. Then, standing at the crawl space opening, I listened to them asking me to step/jump on areas around my floor. Using walkie talkies would have been easier, one for them and one for me. The job was done for the price quoted. I would hire DIGN again.

They were upfront on their initial scheduling call with their estimates for pricing, minimums, and hours to complete. Overall, very reasonable pricing in comparison to some of the other quotes I received. Definitely not the cheapest (and also not the most expensive), but they pride themselves on quality of work - so you pay for what you get. Within 24 hours of my initial quote request, they had me scheduled, and had their handyman, Carlos Hernandez, out to complete the job. Carlos was professional, courteous, and did a fantastic job. When he arrived, he briefly scoped the job, measured, and explained what he needed to do/roughly how long it would take him. From there, he went out to get the necessary parts and returned within the hour to complete the job. He cut the trim to length in my driveway, installed the trim, and caulked within 45 minutes. Frankly, the new trim Carlos installed looks even better than the original! I would highly recommend Carlos and the Response Crew team to anyone in need of general handyman services. While I only used them for this small job, they will definitely be hearing from me again for other work to be done!

Yigal from their company got back to me very quickly. They stand by their name! Yigal was able to provide me a quote same day. He is friendly and provided me with a competitive price! Jesus came to install, paint and fix the frames and he did a great job. He was friendly and cleaned up after as well. He when leaving informed me that handle many services and next time I need more work done I'll definitely be calling them. Highly recommend!

When looking at the finished prodcut, the paint that was used was completely different than what we requested. Steven used Eggshell instead of flat which made the rooms look patchy and the overall look looks very unprofessional. Also, when speaking to him about the paint type he used, he refused to fix it and he used racist remarks "Your kind want everything for free" knowing that we've fully paid for the services we agreed on. We will not be using this vendor again.

I've got a rather complicated project regarding logistics and timing (not skill once work can begin) that has made things difficult. When I first contacted this guy, we set up a date to meet and discuss the project. He no-showed. No phone call or anything. Eventually we met and he explained the lack of communication on his end. I get it. Things happen. Because of other cogs in this wheel, I wasn't able to get him to do the work right away. Now that I'm nearing the point where I can bring in a pro, I contacted him again. I needed cabinets painted and likely a back splash installed. He asked for pictures and a description of what needed to be done. I sent him the pictures and description through Yelp. I was rather surprised when he said that he didn't need an appointment to get me a quote but I thought I'd go with it because I just needed a VERY rough range to facilitate planning. A range of $5000 would've been acceptable. Instead I got told I have "major issues" and he felt "sorry for the poor sap that I hire". Screen shots of the conversation are attached so judge for yourself what kind of person this is. First he no-showed and then insulted me for asking questions. Granted, after reading through our conversation I did see that he asked me to call him and I didn't because I skimmed over that part. My apologies. If he had just asked me again to call him I would've done so.
