So glad I found Dean! He was quick to respond to my request and was able to fit us in quickly to finish our project. We bought a prefabricated gazebo from Sam's Club and couldn't finish due to the summer being so bad, so once it was cool enough we started looking for someone to finish it because we lost the motivation to finish it ourselves LOL. Dean was able to finish it in about 7 hours BY HIMSELF which shocked us because we had 4 people put the frame together over 2 days. He was reasonably priced per hour compared to others who's whole business is to put pre-fabs together, yet wanted to charge their full price for BS reasons they claimed as potential "quality" or "liability" issues when half of the job was already put together. After several email exchanges regarding a project bid, Dean's Handyman Service's simply stopped responding.

I found Dean on Yelp and reached out about replacing a barn door in my house with a more traditional hinged door. He was very responsive, and came out within the week to take detailed measurements and clarify exactly what I wanted it to look like. He consulted me on ordering all the major materials, making sure the style was correct and price was acceptable. When he came out for the install, he was on time, extremely thorough, and able to quickly adapt and work with a few surprises encountered when starting to frame the door. I was extremely happy with the end result, and brought Dean back out to help with a few other small projects around the house. It's tough to find reliable and talented people you can trust with home projects, and I would highly recommend Dean to anyone looking to get some projects done! read more

He also road raged me also calling me the worst names just to show up with me at my house. Don't waste your time on these people. Dean is an absolute master craftsman. He showed up, with a full on workshop on wheels trailer - and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I initially hired him to install barn doors in our house, and was so impressed I called him back to come in and build my dream gym. He quoted me a fixed price on the dry wall, and spent 3 days meticulously mudding and taping on stilts. Installed an AC unit all the electrical, put trim around shed, and installed lighting. Came back a few days later and in a day was completely done with the paint. The next week, instead of me struggling through putting flooring in I asked him and he was more than happy to get started - including fixing my hot mess of an attempt, centering tiles and cutting the edges out for me with yet another power tool in his workshop. I can't overstate how incredibly knowledgable and efficient Dean is, I'd highly recommend him. (But please hire him after he's done installing the TV in my living room). read more

The dryer in my Phoenix house was taking hours to dry one load, but the problem didn't seem to be the dryer itself. I sent a message to Dean, describing the problem and he responded very quickly. He was there the next day, and quickly zoomed in on the problem. Turns out that some other contractor incorrectly installed the dryer vent hardware, causing the dryer vent to block itself internally. Dean modified the dryer vent and had the dryer working in no time, at a very fair price. He also confirmed that there was full flow at the dryer vent outlet. I have requested a few quotes from big companies and found it too expensive. I tried yelp and took a chance. I needed a pressure valve regulator installed. I was previously told that the pipe was too short and a work around was needed. He took on the job, got me the necessary parts, explained that the work was more complicated than expected, took his time and did a great job. He set the pressure valve to ideal setting and explained to me how to adjust it. He even gave me the receipts for the parts used. I found my plumber and I will be recommending him to everyone I know. read more

Had Dean come out to my house to do several things. Install flat panel TVs, lights, adjust doors, paint, etc. He showed up on time and then came back the next morning when I added additional work.
