They return phone calls incredibly fast and they will work in any changes you may have. I found them to be honest and hard working every day that they are there. They are fair with costs and how much they charge per job and you walk away knowing that you got fabulous value for what they charged you. We had work done in all rooms including the addition of an Arizona Room , but for us it was a sewing room. Did it matter what the room was for? Yes in this instance it did, because I needed an excessive amount of light. They did a magnificent job, you couldn't even tell that the room was added on. They built the gazebo we had and they added a small putting green for the beginner golfers in us. They added new closet doors on our new closets. They did various electrical work in the house. They added a keyless entry onto our doors and did some work in the garage. They built us the best carport with a noiseless remote door. Anything we asked them to do they were able to do. The owner of JDR Contracting, Jeff Roche, recently completed a bathroom remodel for me including…read moretotal replacement of the shower and vanity. The work was completed successfully, but I feel compiled to warn prospective JDR clients of two situations. The first is a suggestion you cover in detail the tasks you want them to complete as part of the job. Their bid to me included removing a large, wall-mounted vanity mirror and I assumed they would repair the minor wall damage that ensued. They refused, so I ended up doing it myself. The second, more significant issue I encountered is that my final invoice included sales taxes of nearly $500. According to Arizona statutes and tax guidelines, however, sales taxes are not paid on materials used in basic, MRRA remodeling projects. When I complained to Jeff, he immediately took the charge off with no effort to defend the charge. If you're a future or past client of JRD, check your invoice. If you are/were charged sales taxes on items purchased by your contractor for your MRRA remodeling project, ask for that charge to be removed. The positive news is my new vanity and shower are wonderful. I have no problem with the quality of work or materials completed by JDR.

We needed to replace our old patio cover and make a few upgrades -- remove a pole, add recessed…read morelights, and go different design. We got several quotes, but Hektor immediately stood out. From the first meeting, he was on time, focused, and genuinely cared about finding the best solution for us. What really impressed us was that he never acted like a salesperson -- no pressure, no upselling, just honest advice and real expertise. Another thing that stood out is that Hektor was hands-on throughout the entire project. He did the work himself with the help of his team, but he was clearly the one leading and making sure every detail was done right. He even came back to go over details in person and worked with us so we could pay for materials with our credit card, which made things so much easier to manage. Even when Phoenix had an unusual week of rain, he stayed in touch to make sure our materials were safe. Once the weather cleared, he showed up right on time, suggested raising the patio height (which turned out to be the best decision ever), and coordinated the stucco work so everything looked seamless. The patio turned out beautiful, and he followed up afterward to make sure we were completely happy. If every contractor worked like Hektor -- professional, reliable, hands-on, and truly caring -- home projects would be stress-free. We couldn't recommend him more!
