We found this place on a whim and felt like we'd found our people when we walked in! The beautiful decor, cozy seating and cozy but swanky vibe hit all points for us. Fantastic service with Joseph. We popped in here because we couldn't get into Austin Hope , and this was a recommendation from the staff at Austin Hope. Every single tasting we had was fantastic. I did end up buying two bottles while we were there. Limited food selection, but just enough if you want a snack or appetizer with your wine tasting. Incredible wine tasting experience! Jonathan was AMAZING!! His tasting notes are on point and very helpful. The tasting room has a gorgeous decor. I never felt rushed or pressured while tasting. Wow! This might be the most beautiful tasting room I've ever seen!! It is a space that makes you want to linger. No detail was missed in this modern space. The tables were even salvaged and repurposed from the Napa fires. A nice touch. We tasted with Christine, who is both fun and very knowledgeable. Her passion for wine comes through as she explains each wine, its characteristics, what AVA it came from, etc. We were fortunate to have her all to ourselves for the duration of the tasting and then it got busy. The wines are very good. I enjoyed everything we tasted. I am a Cab lover and they were delicious. The one that caught me by surprise with the Santa Margarita red blend. It is well-balanced and goes down way too easy! My husband & I don't usually drink white wine, but we both loved the Viognier and even bought a bottle. It's not too fruity, not too buttery, but a real Goldilocks wine. We had the best time and found out that the tasting room is open until Midnight Thursday through Saturday. You can enjoy a tasting, a bottle or a glass. Paso Robles needs a place like this for people to hang out when everything else is closed. The girls and I decided to take a wine tasting trip to down town Paso Robles. We did not know were to start. We came upon Serial Wines, it was our first time at this location. As we walked in we were welcomed with friendly staff. The ambiance was very comforting and relaxing, the girls and I had wonderful conversations as all the seating is spaced out it, offering privacy as well. The tastings we had were amazing, . We walked from our hotel on Monday evening and were attracted by the beautiful room (plus it was open!). We tasted a few different cabs suggested by Joseph and found a couple we really liked! Joseph was great, enthusiastic, committed. There were two other groups (couple and quad) who began talking and sharing with each other even though they were apparently strangers. It was great to see! I moved to Paso Robles last year, and have had great fun exploring the wine tasting rooms downtown. I tried Serial Wines this weekend, and it's my absolute favorite! The interior decor is jaw-dropping, the staff is both knowledge and friendly and they have a variety of wines for every palette. I am also in love with the truffle salt butter that comes with the baguette, and the charcuterie board is delicious. The price point is excellent, and the servings were generous. Holy cow!! Hidden gem. Right downtown. Open later than other tasting lounges. Loved the cab but most importantly Joseph worked his tail off serving everyone but made each of us feel like we were the only ones in the place. Came here on a Friday night before dinner downtown on the recommendation of another winery. We made a reservation but could have walked in. We had Micah as our server. He was very attentive and personable. The wines were red-focused and fantastic. We had both the regular flight and the more expensive flight but ended up buying bottles just from the regular flight. The only wine I was iffy about was the Grenache - reds are really where it's at with this swanky place. Also, the bottle prices were very reasonable for the quality. After another establishment goofed on our group reservations we took a chance and walked into Serial on Saturday night, and they graciously accommodated our group of 8. Even offering their private back room when they found out it was my birthday. The ambiance is lovely and we all really enjoyed their selection of wine (I liked their rose, and surprisingly for someone who isn't a big red wine fan, I also really enjoyed their 2018 red blend and 2019 Syrah.) Even though this winery is based in Napa, they make wines that represent Paso dependent on the district it was sourced from. The wine itself was very well balanced, but bold.
