You can just feel it--and yes, confirmed: actual Mexican folks running the place, so you already know the food isn't playing around. Everything was insanely tasty and felt super authentic. Like the kind of tacos that make you pause mid-bite and rethink every other taco you've had before. Bonus points for the sauce bar--lowkey my favorite part. Nothing like standing there debating life decisions while trying every salsa like you're on a flavor quest. Easy 5 stars. I'd come back again and again... and probably embarrass myself at the sauce bar every single time. Service took a little while because there's only one guy cooking but it was well worth the wait.

The car rental company receptionist recommended this area of food trucks to check out since it was close by. It was about a 15 minute drive to the food trucks. Our friends said they've tried Ono Tacos before in Lahaina. They said that the tacos they had were good! I was in the mood for tacos so I ordered one Al Pastor "Pork" taco and the Shredded Beef Birria tacos. They were both very tasty and I would say "on par" with tacos I've had on the mainland! I would go back again the next time I'm in Maui.

If I want to treat myself to some yummy tacos or something intriguing like a Tlacoya or Guarache…read more(both handmade corn masa tortillas) I head to La Poblana. They have a restaurant near my house in Kihei and this food truck near my workplace. The ladies at the food truck are always so friendly and I always call in my order before I pick it up since the truck can be real hot to wait at. I got the Al Pastor Taco plate that includes Rice, Pinto Beans with cheese and 2 Tacos with chopped cilantro, onion and a side of fresh green salsa. The salsa has a bit of heat so if you like that extra kick! I also got a Medium Horchata. Very refreshing and perfect drink to balance the heat of the salsa. I ended up paying $20 for both. I wish it was a bit more affordable but considering high cost of living and Maui prices, that's definitely the norm. I usually treat myself maybe a few months at a time. A nice taco spot if you want a good authentic meal with a smile.

Asada, carnitas, al pastor, chicken, mahi mahi, and much more make up an enticing and reasonably priced menu, with options including tacos, burritos, soups, tostadas, nachos, tortas, enchiladas, quesadillas, and so on. A nice selection of sodas, aguas frescas, and juices will complement your meal; there's horchata as well, my favorite. I got 2 tacos, one with carne asada and one with mahi mahi, and a medium horchata. The fish was flaky, tender, and delicate, with a chipotle sauce that wasn't overpowering. The asada had good flavor but seemed a bit dry; the super fresh diced onions, cilantro, and added spicy salsa verde on top made up for the dryness. The tortillas were tasty and held up to the fillings nicely without being tough or too thick. The sweetness of the horchata was a lovely contrast to the tacos.

Been here dozens of times and never disappointed. We arrived after 2:30 and they were still busy…read more The friendly cashier said my order would be ready in 20 minutes. No worries; it's worth waiting for. She gave me a pager, and we watched the chickens while we waited for our 4 soft birria tacos. As always, it was worth the wait. The burria was plentiful, with cilantro and diced onion, on the tacos. The flavor was excellent, especially with their tomatillo salsa and a squeeze of fresh lime. Glad to see the sliced radish, the pickled jalapeño and (oh, man) the marinated carrot slices! As if that isn't good enough, we also got a burria burrito to go. Now, we have something to feast on tomorrow. Mucho Bueno!

Let's start by saying, they pulled into the pole position of my most delectable Mexican food bite and place in Hawaii (albeit only had on Oahu and Maii, lol). My order: Chorizo Burrito Bowl and maaayynnn Thai thing was loaded. Starts with a layer of rice, beans, chorizo, green and red cabbage, pico de gallo, avacado, topped with chipotle aioli. Then on the side is a lime, pickled carrots, jalapeño, radish, and I chose spicy salsa. The bowl is huge,, and i stuffed my face and finished every bite haha; it goes to say hot great it was. The rice and beans are a perfect layer of goodness, the crunch from the fresh veggies, that smoky and spicy (light) of the chorizo, richness of that avacado, and finished off with that nice creamy aioli. Then I hit it with the kick or the lime and extra spice of the salsa. I'm in heaven. Oh then add side tart, tangy, and crunchy bites of the pickled veg. Waaaaawhoooo was my tummy happy. I'd like to say, I want to come back and all their other options such as their soft and questo tacos or biria. However as I am not in Maui much, probably going back for my home run. Hopefully next time someone else is with me so I can try their choices haha. The staff were friendly and food came out in good time. They are located on the back side of the food truck area, so don't pass them by if you just jump into the main area. Definitely recommend them for all who havent.

Both were unique and outstanding. The quesabirria tacos have a beef filling and the taco comes with a broth for dipping. There is so much flavor in them! The mahi tacos have large pieces of fish and lots of toppings. The fish was so fresh. Linda knows what she is doing! Two tacos each was also plenty of food for us. I did not eat the food there, but the little food truck park where Linda's is located has lots of shaded tables. There are fly fans if you need them and spray bottles to clean a table, if needed. Everything felt very neat and clean to me and the trucks have planters in front of them to green things up. Well worth the stop to have a bite or take something away.

Inspired by Grandma Linda's cherished recipes, the owners first opened up shop in Lahaina. Following the fires, they relocated centrally and recently just found a new home at the Tambayan Corner food truck lot in Kahului. They serve all the typical Mexican greatest hits of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and a small lineup of bebidas (drinks). On warm days, I've enjoyed their ube horchata which is one of their more unique offerings. It's just the right balance of creamy sweetness to cool you down. I've also had their quesabirria tacos, which are tasty and satisfying. I just wished the consommé had a bit more depth of flavor -- the kind where you know the meat has been stewing for hours and hours. Overall, whether you're in the mood for a quick taco fix or a refreshing drink, Linda's Kitchen is a good spot when the craving for Mexican food hits.
