I don't know why so many bad reviews here. I went in for a root touch up and it was one of nicest experiences I've had in a salon for a long time. The hairdresser Amber was so nice and such a pleasure to talk with. I have been coloring my hair forever and this place was one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. Everyone was good nature got along well. My daughter in love went with me and also had a wonderful hairdresser. Overall great service and their price was very reasonable. I hired Sequoia to be my stylist and she had decided to not follow thru on an appointment I had booked with her.. But she decided it was more important to attend a sports event instead due to getting free tickets for it... She also has been very hateful once I booked another stylist at the salon to meet the appointment I had with her! And Sequoia didn't seem to understand why I did that because she couldn't meet the appointment that was booked with her. Sequoia has been very rude and very disrespectful and unprofessional and there for I had no choice but to Fire her as my stylist and I will not put up with her shitty little attitude. I Suggest You Grow Up Sequoia and learn your lesson on how you talk to not only your customers but the salons customers I also hope they take the appropriate action to address the serious issue that has been brought to their attention. I got the worst pedicure of my life. I paid $60 for a full hour of which they painted my nails and did a sugar scrub. They didn't even clean up the cuticles or any cleaning up of the bottoms of my feet. When she was done she told me I was good to go but no promises and of course it was too wet and they were ruined. I was the last customer of the day. So the next day I went elsewhere and had a real pedicure. One worth paying for. When I called and told them what happened they said they can only offer a redo and I should have stayed longer. (I stayed until the girl said I was go to go). The job was uneven and then smeared. They said again they can only offer a redo and I wasn't about to waste my time. Plus I had already had them done and was very happy with my results. read more

Negative, frustrated, and dissatisfied pooled together are an understatement. Just got back from a bachelorette party day service. Where do I begin?...... Services: OK. Our bachelorette loved her massage, body wrap, and pedicure. I would suggest being as detailed as you possibly can with what you prefer for your "light style." (That portion was....no comment.) The seven of us girls were greeted promptly when we entered the spa, however because there was only TWO STAFF working, five of us were in a position to "wait." For how long? Who knew anything. Not only that, but we were told when we called to set up our appointments two weeks prior that we would be receiving a "bridal party special" ($20 for mini pedicures, $20 for mini manicures, $20 for mini facials, and $149 for the bride's "Ultimate Spa Package".) NOPE. Turns out the staff has clearly not been informed of the pricing. Not only that, but their website isn't up to date. I'm sorry, but when pricing is a major factor that plays into planning purposes, this is uncalled for. Apparently they don't even have the so-called "mini" options for pedicures, manicures, and facials. Let me rephrase that...they do offer these "mini" options, but the pricing does not match up. We ended up spending $35 for pedicures, $25 for manicures, and $35 for facials. Let me end on a somewhat positive note here. The spa is darling, (minus the temperature--FREEZING!) The bride loved her treatments---absolutely wonderful. Ultimately however, the lady who rang us up (owner, even) should have stuck to her staff's mis-led knowledge of pricing as well as her non-updated website; even after we showed her the email her staff had sent us confirming the pricing. Walking out with a limp. I was not at all impressed with this business. The staff were friendly, but not what anyone would consider professional. The front desk was less than helpful upon arrival and not knowledgeable of appointments - even though as I sat waiting for a response from the bride as to her location, they were openly discussing client cancellations and other gossip. I get it, it's a small salon. However, you are still a business and I am about to be a client. After getting connected with the bridal party (20min wait for one of the nail "specialists" to come out from the back), I had the misfortune of one of the absolute worst pedicures of my life. They were understocked and "working with what they have". Even though they do gel/shellac polish, they don't have the proper tools to remove it (or entire staff knowledge). I only wish I was over exaggerating when I say I am walking with a limp. Due to the rough and mindless use of the emery board to remove the gel polish, two entire sides of my big toe was torn open and bleeding. There was no apology even after she realized what she had done, and started dabbing and patting it with the towel to help the bleeding. No matter what you do, I definitely FELT THAT. As far as my manicure, I would just say poor time management and a very small and dim lit polish selection. You have two of the three of us getting regular polish which takes FOR EVER to dry without assistance from nifty equipment (mine took well over 2 hours to fully cure), you should definitely do those first so we can drive home without damaging our nails as you rush us out because it is after you (I assume) close (even though online it has you open until 8pm on Wednesdays). That brings us to the Bride. Thankfully she was pleased with her less than mediocre gel polish manicure, that looked NOTHING like what she asked for. But again, they were working with what they had. She was also pleased with her pedicure even though she isn't a sparkly glitter type, and that is exactly what she got. Everything would have been semi acceptable and understandable as a learning curve and understocked repute, if their unprofessionalism would have stayed under wraps. Near the end of our session they openly started comparing, discussing and DEBATING prices for the services we received. Get you crap together ladies! And perhaps, learn better customer service and syntax so you don't make your clients sound like an inconvenience doing a service you say online you provide (removing gel polish). Overly dissatisfied and never coming back or recommending. As for the prices, they are so "low" (what I would call average) because of the atrocious selection of polish, terrible service and unprofessionalism of the staff. You pay more than for what you get. read more

I have gone to Serenity twice and both times I got poor service and mediocre treatment. One was a facial and one was a massage. I also talked to the owner who was trying to tell me I couldn't use a certain offer I had even though when I booked I had mentioned it. She ended up rolling her eyes and storming out. I wouldn't recommend it because they just don't put any heart into the business. I have worked in a similar type of business so I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but it was just too many negatives. read more

First, I must say that Jolene, the owner, is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She does wonderful work with every service I have received- hair style, cut, color, eyebrow waxing and tinting, laser hair removal, manicure, pedicure, makeup... There is also a nice little shop to check out while you wait. I'm surprised with the negative reviews for this shop because I have always received and observed stellar customer service. No one can please everyone though, but I am always pleased at this locally owned salon which employs a number of people. read more

I can't say thank you enough to Jolene and her sister for doing my bridal hair/airbrush make-up and doing my mom and two sisters hair. They were awesome and had great detail. I wish I lived closer so I could make Jolene my stylist. I highly recommend the salon! read more

Hey, guys n gals, while I see a lot of negative reviews for the spa side of things, there has to be something to the hair stylists here. My wife has a strange cut (she will beat me later for saying it) called a mane I think. Anyways many different bright colors lots of layering is required, she only goes here, I guess if it's done wrong you can be made to look "rough" I gotta say going anywhere else (as a guy mind you) costs like 280.00 and she gets a trim and dye... While gladly paying for my wife to enjoy herself, I feel we get a lot more bang for the buck here annnnd she loves it! read more

I wouldn't give this spa one star but I had to. I waited 20 minutes for my facial, then they forgot about me in the room where they told me to stay for my massage. The facial was good, the massage worst I've had. I'm a nice person so I decided not to complain. However, I thought hey it's not fair I spent $100 here and did not get good customer service or a good massage. Most spas offer you water when you walk in or at least make you feel welcome. Not this place. To top it off when I called the "owner" who claimed there was no owner only independent consultants, she offered me either a refund or a free service from her only. I let her know I would think about it and call her back. She said I could also text her if I wanted to. I did end up texting her two days later and asked for a refund. She text me back and was very rude. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and told her I would call her instead of talking over text messages. After all it's easy to take a text message the wrong way. Well I called I left a message and she called back and told me she never said I could get a refund. I told her she did. Then she called me bi polar and said she was recording the conversations we had and she would contact her attorney if she needed to. I said a few choice words back and that was that. At this point I'm just plain mad and I've had it with the "owners" attitude. The worst customer service I have EVER experienced! She said she would send me half of my money back. I'll be SHOCKED if I actually receive anything. I do not recommend this spa to anyone who wants a great experience.
