First, the person I asked said 'What is that?' (he obviously knew). Then, when I said Cyanuric Acid he started basically arguing with me saying I meant 'Stabilizer'. (BTW, it said 'Cyanuric Acid' on the water test result sheet they had given me on Sat., not 'Stabilizer') Again, being new to pool ownership, I didn't know if they were the same or not, so I finally said that as long as 'Stabilizer' was CYA/had CYA in it, I was fine. There were other similar exchanges where I was challenged on water test results, what I needed/was trying to do, snide remarks about my pool company, etc. When I asked how to use the product, and whether one bottle was enough for my size pool, I was told 'I don't know - read the directions'. I am beyond shocked at the attitude and rudeness and how unbelievably uncomfortable I felt in this store. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to this location and will be finding another, more hospitable and helpful source for my pool supply needs going forward.

Getting service this year has been a nightmare. I replaced the entire mechanism for ~$1200 last year. This year (in March 2026), it detached from the hot tub, rendering it unusable in the prime spring weather. - I spent the last 10 weeks trying to get someone to come out to repair it (offered to pay full price) but no reponse. - Initially spoke to someone in the service center, who told me I needed a "bracket", and that it was on backorder. - A month later (in April), I reached back out to service center to check on status. I was told the original person I spoke to was no longer with the company, and the part wasn't the issue. - I asked to speak with a manager; was told to speak to Jeff. - Left multiple messages with Jeff, but he never got back to me. -Filled out the "service form", also no response. After 10 weeks, I got fed up waiting and went the DIY route. Located YouTube instructions on how to remove the panel. Once I did that, I saw the plywood they used to re-install cover lifter last year (which bears ~150 lbs of load btw) was only 1/8" thick, which would explain why the mechanism failed. I installed a 1" board, then remounted the screws on the lifting arm and closed up the panel. Fingers crossed, this will do the trick. As mentioned, the tub works mostly as advertised; Hot Springs equipment is great. However Capital Hot Tub doesn't seem to care about customers once they've made their purchase. The whole point of paying a premium price is to avoid this kind of hassle, and not have to DIY fix your stuff on the weekend.

The team came to look at it and discovered that the wall and skimmer were corroded and needed to be replaced. They got right to fixing it during scorching heat.
