Our hot tub was purchased through this company. 2 different times, we scheduled an appointment for service. The first appointment, the service never happened and they failed to even call or come to the appointment. Either someone forgot or someone mis scheduled. The 2nd appointment, they had to be reminded of the visit on a message was the day of, and they cancelled via text message. I understand things happen and plans change - however there is a way to treat people and way to do business. I would never use this company again. Ever. Terrible experience in every way. My husband and I bought a hot tub at the end of April 2021. The tub was delivered last week on Tuesday without an owners manual, a blue tooth that is not operational, a malfunctioning speaker and heat pipe. When we called to ask about an owner manual and some guidance we were told they don't have a manual or guidance which they can provide, and when we volunteered to come in to get some guidance , we were told not too because they can't do anything. LIVING NIGHTMARE... STAY AWAY From Hot Tubs Of Vienna And Rockville. My wife and I purchased a Wellis Hot Tub from Hot Tubs of Rockville totaling $14, 976.74 in November of 2021 and it was delivered in December of 2021. Due to COVID we were unable to use our hot tub immediately. In March we filled the hot tub for the first time. While checking on the hot tub I discovered that the hot tub was leaking like a sieve from the bottom onto our deck and onto the ground. We called Vienna Hot Tubs and a repairman was sent out. Upon his arrival he asked what the problem was that we were having and I explained to him that we filled our hot tub for the first time and turned it on at which time it started leaking from the bottom. Upon hearing this the repairman asked who the maker of the hot tub was and I replied Wellis. The repairman stated that it was more than likely the foot jets. He went on to say that they have been having problems with this particular hot tub and that the foot jets are not properly tighten from the factory. He further advised that the company would have to make a return visit to bring additional manpower to lift the hot tub to adjust the foot jets. Approximately a week later Hot Tubs of Vienna responded back to our residence this time with the Head repair person "TIM". Tim looked at the hot tub and advised of the same problem with the foot jets. Sometime later the previous repairman and the owner "CHARLIE" showed up. The hot tub was emptied of water and lifted on its side. While on its side we observed Tim use a hand saw and proceed to cut a hole into the bottom of the hot tub. My wife and I responded out to the deck and objected to cutting the hot tub. Charlie advised that this procedure was how Wellis recommended the repair be done. I continued to object to this and further stated that they should not be doing a repair on a new product. Charlie advised that he would not replace the hot tub and that the work was under warranty. I then asked for our money back and Charlie advised that that's not happening. They continued working and upon completion they "gorilla taped" the bottom of the hot tub back together, left a completed work order and left. Two weeks later we filled the hot tub again and again it leaked. To date I reached out to Hot Tubs of Vienna and Tim to advise him that the hot tub was still leaking. Initially Tim was setting up an appointment schedule however we were advised that since we made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau they will not respond to do any repairs and for us to contact the Wellis Regional Manager Lou Vitulli. Correspondence with him been negative. It is apparent that both repairmen along with the owner were previously aware of the leaking problems with the Wellis Hot Tub. However Hot Tubs of Vienna continues to sell this product. It is apparent that Hot Tubs Of Vienna does not stand behind the products they sell. W we years ago. I am a "DO IT yourself" guy, so when it needed maintenance last year, his repair guy way away. Charlie talked be through the diagnostic work entail I found the problem and fixed it. He saved me hundreds of $$$. This year the HT was literally life saving. I work at a local hospital and I am exposed to COVID patients almost daily. My disinfecting routine when I get home is to take everything off and jump in, dunking my head and even letting some of the water get to the back of my nose. I keep the chlorine on the heavy side. It works so well that my wife won't let me in the house until I am "clean." read more

TL;DR: They are great at earning your business, but once they have it, they don't particularly care about you anymore, they just want you to leave them alone. We bought our hot tub from them two years ago and have worked with them a few times on service; on the whole, it has been a pretty frustrating experience. The purchase itself started off very smoothly; they clearly wanted the sale and they were patient and helpful in picking out the best tub for us. That part of the experience is why this is a 2-star, not 1-star, review. Things went downhill from there. Because we weren't ready to buy right away, we then went into waiting mode, at which point they went into pushy mode, pressing us to hurry up and buy despite ongoing issues with the project in which we'd install the tub. Once we did pull the trigger, they started rushing us to take delivery, despite telling us during the sale that they could hold it as long as needed. We had to make some changes on the cover lifter as the project progressed, and to say they were disinterested with helping us would be an understatement. Once we got the tub, we had several issues, and we had to deal with their service team, which was even more disappointing. It took several calls and emails to get someone to come out and actually take care of what was clearly a defect issue. Fortunately, we didn't have to deal with them again for about a year and a half, but when we did, I was reminded of the issues from before: poor communication, no interest in putting effort into helping (just a "not my problem" attitude), and loads of condescension. Finally, I gave up and focused on finding someone else to do the work. read more

We bought a Wellis London model earlier this year. I had shopped around and Vienna Hot Tubs had product in stock when others didn't. I got a great price, delivery was on time and pain free. I was opening it with heavy ice on top and it got away from me and the hanging brackets broke off. Charlie handed me free replacements that I was able to install on my own easily. The chemical class on Sat mornings is super helpful. I read some of these negative reviews and it feels like an alternate universe. I would hate to be a small business owner in the era of yelp. I set up an appointment tech visit with Vienna Hot Tubs and Patio for February 22 and was told that day the Tech couldn't make it because they had trucks come in to be unloaded. They said they would get back to me to reschedule.... I finally had to call them back to reschedule for today 3/17/22. I purchased a hot tub (SunRans 878) from Vienna Hot Tubs in August 2021. After getting the electrician out and everything hooked up, I discovered several items were faulty: * The topside control panel stopped responding when wet * The wifi didn't work * Several lights were out * No instructions were provided for connecting the speakers via bluetooth * The waterfall spewed water instead of falling cleanly I called Vienna Hot Tubs to get someone out to fix it. I left messages and didn't hear back. Thinking I had no other recourse, I contacted my credit card and had them withhold payment. I think it was Charlie that called me back and was very rude. He said he was going to come pick up the hot tub because I would never be satisfied as a customer. I don't think I was being unreasonable in asking that my brand new $15k hot tub be free of defects. He eventually agreed to send someone out. Over the course of several visits, the topside was replaced, the lights were repaired and I was given instructions for connecting to bluetooth. The wifi issue was more complex and initially I was missing the wifi module. After months of troubleshooting with the tech, we finally got it working. It doesn't work consistently, but it at least it works sometimes. As far the waterfall, apparently it's "working as designed." I've given up on that, but I don't know anyone that would want a waterfall that spews in your face. Fast forward to May/June of this year, and now I have 2 more issues. The lifter snapped off and my speakers aren't working. One speaker plays music but won't pop up, and the other doesn't play music but pops up. The lifter was fixed on the service call and parts had to be ordered for the speakers. Some time after the service visit, I received a call asking me to pay the "warranty service fee" or something like that. I disputed that I should have to pay a fee for something that is under warranty. I didn't catch it at the time, but apparently my refusal to pay the fee resulted in them not ordering the parts. I called today and have paid the fee ($114.50) but I am very annoyed that the meaning of warranty seems to have been lost. Less than one year after purchase, I shouldn't be incurring more expenses to keep my hot tub in working order. If you want a company that will stand by the products they sell, don't buy from Vienna Hot Tubs. You will have to fight with them every step of the way. For such a large purchase, go to a retailer that will sell you a working hot tub, and if you have an issue, will repair it without any additional expense. Just as an aside to all of this, they also won't tell me what model of filter my hot tub uses, so I am forced to buy new filters from them. There is nothing on the packaging or the filters that says what model to use. read more

Then the diverter popped off - five days ago - and have called the team at Vienna EVERY SINGLE DAY. We did get one call back to tell us that the computer was down. These guys know what to sell and how to sell, but their attention after the sell, hmm. I'm starting to get concerned. Ask the question, who does the maintenance. Last spring we decided to look into hot tubs. After looking at many stores we decided on Vienna HT and a Sundance hot tub. Charlie took care of us, we came back several times including a wet visit (just after closing time so it was very private). We've had mostly decent service from Charlie but my 4 stars is based on 1) we put down our down payment with the deal that if our HOA for some reason rejected our hot tub we would get it refunded. Charlie said he would order the tub then though. He did not and waited for us to give him the final HOA approval. 2) it took longer to have the tub delivered than originally promised. I get it's not an exact science but it shouldn't have been so off. I was out of town for over two weeks and my husband had to take the time off for the delivery. I made the plans thinking we had a more solid delivery date. 3) the flip off top was installed into the control panel. So now, to open the control panel, we would have to unscrew the screws that hold on the top. This was due to how we asked for it to be set in its space, but we could have changed our preference had we known it this would have happened. Just makes service a bit more difficult when it didn't have to be. 4) after set up I wish we had a list of which chemicals to put in and how often. Yes, Charlie gives a class on it and that was very very helpful, but there was a two week delay between delivery/set up to the class. Lots of googling. That said, we love our hot tub and now that it's chillier we use it nightly. The amount of time I spend on it weekly with maintenance is about 5 minutes tops. That includes putting on my jacket and grabbing the chemicals. Very very easy. read more

After looking at several hot tubs over a six month period we finally purchased from Vienna hot tubs and spa. They spent a lot of time showing us the different brands and explained all of the different options. We found buying a hot tub kind of like buying carpet, it's hard to tell what you are really getting and weather your comparing apples to apples. We purchased from these guys because at the end of the day we didn't feel like we were getting a sales pitch just to make us buy. Our spa was delivered within 3 days and the delivery team was wonderful. They did a great job and spent time answering our questions. We did have a small leak, which apparently is common with new tubs and they sent someone the same day we called to repair it. We love our spa and Vienna Hot tubs and spa. I would never use this company again. Their service technician was here to "troubleshoot" a problem. I had already drained the hotel tub, removed the damaged component and removed the panels. He took a look at the situation and agreed it would be best to cap the problem and not use the air blower again. That took about 5 minutes to determine. Vienna Hot Tub still required me to pay $160 service fee. The technician was embarrassed to charge me so much for such little work. I would gladly have paid some portion for their time and expertise but I think $160 is outrageous. This is not how a company earns customers but loses them. Update: Charlie the owner called me and after some discussion reduced the service fee to $89. I appreciate the gesture as his company did expend time and effort to come to the house. We purchased our hot tub from VHT&P several years ago. They allowed us to test the tubs by inviting us in for a soak which was great. It allowed us to determine which tub was best for us before purchase. A few years later we needed to store our tub during house reconstruction. VHT&P picked up our tub no hassle and returned it to us much later in immaculate condition. Every experience with them has been very professional. After multiple calls I finally got a call back with a promise to call me the next day because they couldn't find my records. Two weeks later and multiple calls I am yet to hear back. I arranged an appointment with Theresa after I met Tim at a 7-11. Two weeks later, the appointment time of 8am came and went and I called Theresa to ask what went wrong. She confirmed my appointment time and was surprised Tim had not arrived. By 10.30 she had called back and arranged for Ken to make the appointment between 12-3.30. I called Tim shortly afterwards, and Tim denied Vienna Hot Tubs made any visitation appointment. When I pointed out his direct report Theresa had made an 8am appointment for me, followed by a 12-3.30 appointment, Tim insisted they didn't make appointments and then threatened not to fulfill any appointment. He is not a pleasant man. Tim seems to be responsible for this chaos, since he simply can't tell the truth. I will not do business with people like this. read more

I bought a Sundance hot tub from their subsidiary location in Rockville less than a year ago. Unfortunately, it started leaking a few weeks ago. Vienna sent a repair man out and he did a great job fixing the leak which was from a cracked elbow. I was upset that I was charged for the transportation out to service the tub, especially since it was nearly brand new. I called and explained my frustration and was told that they are not reimbursed for the time and money it cost them to send a guy out to fix my tub, but just for parts and labor. Well, that disappoints me about Sundance which builds a fantastic product otherwise. I am guessing the elbow cracked due to shipping to my home and it just took a few months for the crack to continue to develop until it started leaking. The lady I spoke with was very kind and said she would talk to the owner of the store about my situation. She called me back and told me they were going to drop the fee. Now this is what I would have expected in the first place, but these folks are just the dealer and are having to eat the cost. Really, really nice folks. Buying a swim spa is a very complicated process. There are many different options such as purchasing one from a traveling home show, complicated online vendors or through a local reputable dealer who stands behind his showroom products and the company. After meeting with Charlie, I realized there was only one option for me, Vienna Hot Tubs and Patio! Three weeks after my awesome purchase, I had the whole team, which also included Fairfax Crane lifting the swim spa over my house with pinpoint precision in to concrete chamber which now houses my Artesian Swim Spa...now the envy of the entire neighborhood! Charlie is a local honest businessman with the knowledge, expertise and has a strong organizational capacity. This one is a no brainer! If you are even thinking of a hot tub, just call these guys and ask for Bruce. When I did, he talked to me to understand my needs and price range. Even inquired about the height of my family members (and their ages) so he could get a sense of what kind of tub would best fit (I'm a lot taller than my wife, so seating height was important - who knew?) Best part - he stuck with us over seven months of me deliberating and trying to find out what tub would fit our gazebo (no easy task). He must have visited three or four times to take different measurements - one time even bringing out a hot tub box to simulate delivery). He even found a contractor to help us dispose of our old tub (broken) and take care of some minor carpentry to get ANY new tub in place. All without any sense that I was actually going to buy anything... When I finally decided to buy something - seven months later! - he honored the floor show price he quoted me way back when. To boot, he came out personally to ensure the install/delivery was completed properly and did the final electrical install himself. Who does this anymore? Bruce does. Like most other people on Yelp, I love these guys! We met Charlie (the owner) at a house show, and he spent an hour walking us through all of the advantages and disadvantages of every tub. Purchase and delivery went smoothly. We have called the store many times for advice (because the instruction manual from the manufacturer is terrible and out of date) and they have been unfailingly patient and nice. Great experience! We walked in and were immediately shown around the store. All questions were answered quickly and in-depth, and advice was given based on our specific requirements. The store has lots of models to there, and it was really helpful to be able to actually see the model we wanted to get. Also, they make sure you know how to take care of the hot tub, and even have a class on Saturdays for customers to go through hot tub maintenance, which was awesome. Installation was on time and professional. We had a tiny issue getting the hot tub to start up when the electric was connected, and they were easily reachable by phone and told us how to resolve it. It's amazing to be able to call and actually get help right away from people who know what they're talking about. We have hot tub stores that are much closer to us, but we chose this one because we felt like they personally care and are there to help us, whether it's with choosing a hot tub, getting it installed correctly, or maintenance down the line. read more

Vienna Hot Tubs has a good assortment of hot tubs and has excellent sales people but don't expect them to help you if things are not perfect with the product after delivery. One of our jets didn't work and they were less than responsive. When they did send a repair tech out to us and we were charged for it the problem was still unresolved and we didn't get the call back we were promised. Want to buy a hot tub? Sure go to them. Want a hot tub and a service repair place, an all in one solution as you use and enjoy your product? Not sure I'd recommend them on an ongoing basis. read more
