New store front on Main Street in Leslie, AR

Just off of Hwy 65 on Main Street, Serenity Farm Bread is at their new location. They no longer have the shop on Hwy 65. Inside the new shop is a quaint little sitting area to enjoy your breads, pastries and latte. They sell novelty items that you won't find in most other places.

    Sourdough cheese danish. Delicious!

Do you want your stomach to give your mouth a High Five?? Then get to this place and try their danishes! Or their cakes! Or, especially, their breads! When I was there they had a big selection of goodies: several flavors of danishes, carrot cake slices, other cakes, banana bread, cookies, eight or nine different breads, foccacias - all made with sourdough!! And the breads are made in a woodfired brick oven. So cool! We first tried the blueberry-strawberry danish and the cheese danish, which was star shaped. They were both incredibly good - you could really taste the sourdough, but they were most certainly danishes, soft and tender. My favorite was the cheese danish because it had little crispy edges. Good sourdough flavor, icing and lots of filling in both! The pizza focaccia was incredible, and each of the breads that we tried, sunflower-honey, country style and the European rye (wow!) were excellent. Remember, everything is sourdough! That's their thing, and they do it well. This place is kind of in the "middle of nowhere", but if you are anywhere close, one hour, two hours close, go, go, go! Yum, yum, eat 'em up!

    Quaint mountain cafe.

Amazing creations. The pastry is the best. I've been going to Serenity Farms for 27 years and love the bread and coffee.

Caution: you may produce tears from the beautiful views. If you love nature and coffee, this might be the absolute perfect spot for you. This cute, little blue cabin structure offers local roasted coffees, teas and other drinks. As well as, freshly made daily, pastries. I was driving through for a meeting in Harrison, AR and wanted to stop by and get medium coffee for my two-hour meeting. I also ordered, "Jalapeño Sausage Biscuit." Normally, I don't order sausage or biscuit, but this was homemade. The taste and texture spoke for itself. Sometimes, biscuits will either be made in a way where they're too hard or too soft/saggy. But I can honestly say, this was unexpectedly perfect biscuit. The young gentleman was so friendly and polite. When I ordered coffee, he brewed me a fresh batch, even though I was the only one in the store. They offer nine different full-leaf teas in glass jars. Along with sixteen different coffee flavors. Besides good drink and food, you can also explore and purchase varieties of rocks that are homemade by the owners, of this family-owned place. If you love picturesque nature, supporting small businesses and good coffee, Rock-N-Java is a must stop for you. They offer plenty of parking spaces for you to order your drink and walk over to the edge of the cliff and be lost in fresh air and gorgeous mountain scenery.

They sell pastries, teas, gifts, rocks, crystals and minerals and there's a covered bench area to sit and have lunch or drinks. It's a pretty cool place to stop by and visit.

I'm a straight up city chick and I love flat country. Driving in the depths of these mountainous areas gave me a new perspective on life. I came to learn that the Ozarks are not really mountains but are a highland region consisting of plateaus, rolling hills, and karst formations. While the Ozarks are not technically mountains, one slip of the wheel on these narrow roads will surely send someone to glory. I stopped a few times along the way before coming here to decompress and fuel up. I had a longer ride higher into the Ozarks. The morning cashier was so friendly and helpful, she spoke to everyone and said to all, "have a blessed day." Because I never been in the Ozarks before and I will never be returning, I decided to try a few of the locals preserves. I really enjoy the old way of life...now almost everything is genetically modified. Surprisingly, the store has Chester's chicken in there. Restrooms were clean and the store was stocked with beverages, snacks and other amenities for the drive. I would recommend folks take a break here and try out some of the locals' crafts. After all, Arkansas is called the "natural state."

The same lady has been working the counter the past two years we've been traveling this route, and she's always so friendly.
