    packaging was horrible

Not good. I ordered bread on 3/2/26. The bread was shipped and arrived very late on 3/17/26. The package looked retaped a couple times and the bread was old and moldy, gross. Almost $50 gone. Dont waste your money. I contacted them by phone and the "service" said they could do nothing. I have emailed them pictures and a note a couple times but no response. Lesson learned.

Just off of Hwy 65 on Main Street, Serenity Farm Bread is at their new location. They no longer have the shop on Hwy 65. Inside the new shop is a quaint little sitting area to enjoy your breads, pastries and latte. They sell novelty items that you won't find in most other places.

    Sourdough cheese danish. Delicious!

Do you want your stomach to give your mouth a High Five?? Then get to this place and try their danishes! Or their cakes! Or, especially, their breads! When I was there they had a big selection of goodies: several flavors of danishes, carrot cake slices, other cakes, banana bread, cookies, eight or nine different breads, foccacias - all made with sourdough!! And the breads are made in a woodfired brick oven. So cool! We first tried the blueberry-strawberry danish and the cheese danish, which was star shaped. They were both incredibly good - you could really taste the sourdough, but they were most certainly danishes, soft and tender. My favorite was the cheese danish because it had little crispy edges. Good sourdough flavor, icing and lots of filling in both! The pizza focaccia was incredible, and each of the breads that we tried, sunflower-honey, country style and the European rye (wow!) were excellent. Remember, everything is sourdough! That's their thing, and they do it well. This place is kind of in the "middle of nowhere", but if you are anywhere close, one hour, two hours close, go, go, go! Yum, yum, eat 'em up!

    Quaint mountain cafe.

Caution: you may produce tears from the beautiful views. If you love nature and coffee, this might be the absolute perfect spot for you. This cute, little blue cabin structure offers local roasted coffees, teas and other drinks. As well as, freshly made daily, pastries. I was driving through for a meeting in Harrison, AR and wanted to stop by and get medium coffee for my two-hour meeting. I also ordered, "Jalapeño Sausage Biscuit." Normally, I don't order sausage or biscuit, but this was homemade. The taste and texture spoke for itself. Sometimes, biscuits will either be made in a way where they're too hard or too soft/saggy. But I can honestly say, this was unexpectedly perfect biscuit. The young gentleman was so friendly and polite. When I ordered coffee, he brewed me a fresh batch, even though I was the only one in the store. They offer nine different full-leaf teas in glass jars. Along with sixteen different coffee flavors. Besides good drink and food, you can also explore and purchase varieties of rocks that are homemade by the owners, of this family-owned place. If you love picturesque nature, supporting small businesses and good coffee, Rock-N-Java is a must stop for you. They offer plenty of parking spaces for you to order your drink and walk over to the edge of the cliff and be lost in fresh air and gorgeous mountain scenery.

We were greeted as soon as we walked in and promptly waited on. Our server was friendly and attentive. Most importantly, the food was served hot, fresh and fast. I guess even more most importantly...it was good. I had the Hickory burger, and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. It's a big burger, fresh toppings, and served with plenty of fries. My wife had the Philly cheese quesadilla, which was the daily special, and it was very tasty. She also had the onion rings, which were uniquely prepared, and good and crispy. Yummy. There was several freshly prepared desserts. We opted for the large oatmeal cookie and three freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. They were good! Additionally, the interior of the café is super cute. Exactly what you would expect from a small country café. If you're ever in Leslie Arkansas, I recommend giving it a try

As we pull into the parking lot my husband getting very excited as he was realizing this was a place he'd eaten a few years before and couldn't remember where it was as he travels the state frequently. His excitement was real but even after all that I was impressed! It was a Tuesday when we stopped in, the special was Chicken fried Steak or chicken fried chicken with green beans and mashed potatoes with brown or white gravy. My husband had the hamburger steak with onions, brown gravy and mashed potatoes with gravy. The vegetables tasted slow country cooked with bacon seasoning and a little bit like a hug from your southern grandmama. The only thing that was missing was the "Have you eaten baby? Here's your glass of sweet tea!" Seriously- sooo good. Okra and green beans tasted fresh picked from the garden, creamy airy mashed potatoes. Meat portions were more than adequate. My husband said he hadn't seen me eat everything on my plate in 5 years until then! The roll seemed to be a handmade yeast roll and was the perfect way to ensure not a drop of that amazing gravy was lost! My review doesn't even address the beautiful little spot this sits on, outdoors landscapes with beautiful local stone boulders overlooking this picturesque view of the river. Stop in, you won't be disappointed!

I'm a straight up city chick and I love flat country. Driving in the depths of these mountainous areas gave me a new perspective on life. I came to learn that the Ozarks are not really mountains but are a highland region consisting of plateaus, rolling hills, and karst formations. While the Ozarks are not technically mountains, one slip of the wheel on these narrow roads will surely send someone to glory. I stopped a few times along the way before coming here to decompress and fuel up. I had a longer ride higher into the Ozarks. The morning cashier was so friendly and helpful, she spoke to everyone and said to all, "have a blessed day." Because I never been in the Ozarks before and I will never be returning, I decided to try a few of the locals preserves. I really enjoy the old way of life...now almost everything is genetically modified. Surprisingly, the store has Chester's chicken in there. Restrooms were clean and the store was stocked with beverages, snacks and other amenities for the drive. I would recommend folks take a break here and try out some of the locals' crafts. I ordered a two-tiered, round cake with frosted ruffles. It turned out exquisite, besides the fact that I told them the wrong color. I should have said pink and not salmon! Oops! We also ordered a grooms cake from them that was decorated to look like a Razorback's face. The cakes were so moist and delicious, and the icing was phenomenal. The two-tiered was chocolate and vanilla with a raspberry frosting and the groom's cake was red-velvet with a cream cheese frosting. I also purchased a two-tiered cake for my sister's baby shower. Upon arrival for pick-up, I noticed that some of the icing had started to sag, but I was running late and told them it would be fine. I drove about two blocks and the entire back-side of the frosting had slipped off. I turned around and they immediately called in one of their decorators, completely re-iced and decorated the cake, and gave me a twenty dollar refund! The cake looked even better than it had before and, needless to say, the cake was a huge hit at the shower and no one minded that I was late! The Cake Shop also sells cookies, cupcakes, etc. throughout the week. My husband stops in frequently after four pm when everything in their display cases and coolers are $5 each. He usually snags a couple dozen chocolate covered strawberries for that price. They always have the most ripe and juicy strawberries. I would encourage you to stop in and give them a try, they are more than welcoming and have amazing products!
