Well, he walked away from me didn't say let me check it out, give me a minute or nothing.... While the other sale associates chatted about their personal life. I walked out the store & said to the guy oh thanks for your help.....Ghetto ass store, no one else asked me did I needed help and that's a store I will never go back to... I should have brought supplies and a compass. 1) The store has a lot of stock. too much stock. there are piles and racks and mounds and seriously I was in there for nearly 10 minutes before encountering a clerk and was seriously tempted to ask "Dr Livingston I presume?" All this made it hard to find things and remember where you'd seen something. 2) This is just my taste. While there were some nice pieces and I was upset a pair of spectator shoes weren't in my size, a great many of the pieces by cut, color and material look like they will be sold to people going to a high school prom in northern New Jersey circa 1974. The sort of thing you'll wear once so mom or grand ma can coo over it and will promptly spend the rest of it's existence on the floor of your closet. So there are some nice pieces in here but they seem to be hidden behind a crowd of clutter and poor quality items making the search only slightly less harrowing than a search for the cracks of Doom.

Before walking in, I was really not convinced that we'd find something in his size. Donna was so incredibly helpful; she not only immediately found us a sport jacket in his size and desired color (navy), but one that fit perfectly/does not need any tailoring - amazing! She was even able to find him a dress shirt and tie in his size. I highly recommend Donna and this location for great service & expertise, and their selection of suit separates in teen sizes :)

Wadsworth Ave. Vikki the store manager is so professional, helpful, knowledgeable, welcoming and nice looking too. She helped me with find the perfect pair of sneakers for my son. I didn't know what was in style and was having trouble with sizing. She handled it all, while serving other customers as well. The only thing I would suggest is that her staff was more like her. I felt like she was doing all of the work while others stood around waiting for Vicki to tell them what to do. It was unfortunate to see, but Vicky is a rockstar. I was visiting Wilmington, DE this past week on a business trip. Before I left, I researched men's…read moreclothiers in the area and found Wright and Simon. It was half of a block from my hotel, so I decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. The shop has two entrances, one on Market St. and another on Shipley, the Store cuts through the entire block. I recommend the entrance on Marker St. It has a vestibule with display windows on either side. It gives you the opportunity to take a look at what they have to offer before entering. Once inside, I met Leonard Simon. I found him as well as the in house tailor (who, I am sorry to say, I can not recall his name) welcoming and helpful. Mr. Simon assisted me choose two pairs of Bills Khakis. One pair he had in stock and the other he had to order from the factory. The tailor sized the pants for cuffs while Mr. Simon called Bills Khakis to order the second pair. I was flying back home the next day and was assured the pair of pants they had on hand would be ready by 11:00 AM, and sure enough they were. I have purchased a lot of pants in my time that needed to be tailored, but I have NEVER had a 24 hour turn around on tailoring. That is aces in my book. For the second pair, they are keeping my size on file and will mail them to me when after being cuffed. This is the best service I have had in a men's store and I am sad that this is a rare thing in San Francisco. Now it needs to be said, one of by biggest issues, and IMHO grandest failings in men's shops is an air of superiority by the staff. For some reason stores such as Brooks Brothers, Wilkes Bashford (in San Francisco) and others tend to look down their noses at you, as if they are doing you a favor just letting you past the entrance. This is NOT the case with Wright and Simon. I found no pretensions here, they are helpful and appreciate your business. They also have a fantastic selection of suits, sport coats, overcoats and the like for you to peruse. For their pricing I chose "Moderate" and think this is a good description. If you are used to shopping at a department store or at the local mall for clothing and you walk in to Wright and Simon you will find this place expensive, but if you are used to purchasing fine men's clothing, you will find this place par for the course. Also, Delaware has no sales tax, and this should be taken in to account when discussing price. All in all, this is one of those stores where you will look better walking out of then you did walking in. I am looking forward to my next visit to Wilmington, DE. I think I need a new suit.
