My friend knew the executive chef of this new outpost in the Grove and it did not disappoint one bit! SOOOOOOO GOOOD! This was the best Portuguese food I've ever tasted. The dishes were succulent and very flavorful. We left so full! The decor feels Mediterranean and I loved it. The patio area had a great feel too. This is a must try and a future Michelin contender!

I am so sad to say that I did not eat here nor do I remember the name of the drinks we had, oh but you must try this place! Just by how amazing the drinks were and how passionate the staff was in describing the story behind the drinks - it is a no brainer. If you've never been, then come and see for yourself. Oh and order the drink with the fig (short glass drink on my photos) - you will not regret it! The restaurant is beautiful by the way and in a great spot! Valet is right out front for just $7.

Every dish we ordered was filled with flavor, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious!! We had the bread service, dorado catch of the day, bacalhau a bras, gambas ao alhinho, aljo frances tostado, and wahoo curado all of which were amazing! Along with the delicious food the service was impeccable!! We had a lovely waitress and were treated exceptionally by Christian who we believe is a manager there. The amazing chef too, visited us to ensure our experience was all that we expected, and we found that to be an incredible gesture and show how much passion and love he has for what he does! He's undoubtedly one of the top chefs!! They all made our experience unforgettable! The ambiance of the restaurant is chic, beautifully decorated and a work of art! Moment you walk in you feel as if you entered into a skillfully and breathtakingly designed venue! The dessert, cocktail, wine and spirits selection too was exceptional. We will be coming back again!

The food is superb! 5 stars without a doubt. With a Portuguese background, this cuisine was unexpectedly a home run! All the starters were amazing including the bread to start (we got all the cold ones believe it or not). Had the Cod as the main dish and it was amazing. For dessert, the rice pudding with sorbet was phenomenal. Service was extremely pleasant. From the host to the servers, they all gave us a great experience. Will definitely be back. Here are a few pics....

The service was amazing, all the employees were very friendly. The ambiance was great, super calm. The food was good but I would go again just for the dessert and/or appetizers.

I chose the sardines, listed as fried on the menu. The server asked if I'd prefer grilled. Grilled it was. delicious. My husband ordered the grilled octopus. This came chopped up in olive oil. For me, it was a bit too much oil, but very delicious. They also served a nice bread, good to accompany both dishes. We have to go back and try more.

It was a beautiful day so I chose to sit out in the beautifully decorated porch area out front. The server quickly brought over the menu and my drink of choice to start alongside some warm bread and olive oil. I looked over and decided on a few appetizers- the octopus and the Portugal sausage. I later added on their potato chips and those were nice and crispy with a creamy, tangy sauce. All of it was so delicious, a bit too much oil on the octopus but it was really well seasoned with fresh garlic in the sauce. I loved the presentation for the Portugal sausage (see video) and loved that it brought a little more flare to the meal. I would highly recommend this eatery and hope to come back again when in the area.

The restaurant is nestled within the back of the on-site building and you get the vibe as soon as your eyes glance to its entrance. As you're being directed to your table, it feels like you're in Spain and dining in a Spanish wine cellar. The decor is beautiful and the food is authentic Spanish. I'll put this place up against the best NYC Spanish restaurant, any day. I started with a glass of Red Sangria and it was SO GOOD! Served with lots of fruit, this drink was smooth and I had to remind Esteban, our fine Server, to not remove my fork, so I can enjoy the sangria smothered fruit, afterwards. We started with Ham Croquettes and Meatballs. I cannot commend these appetizers, enough. The croquettes were exquisitely soft, the outer breading was thin enough that it wasn't crunchy, and the seasoning was delectable. The meatballs were just as good as the croquettes and that sauce was mouth-watering good. The entree just kept getting better. We shared the Churrasco entree (Angus skirt steak and grilled vegetables). The steak was already sliced, the meat was succulent, savory, and a dream to enjoy. The vegetables were lightly charred and were just as devine as the rest of the items. If you're into Spanish food, please give El Carajo a chance to satisfy your appetite. You will be in for a memorable meal and return for more.
