They tuna tarta was great and it brings a good amount. The margaritas tasted really good, I loved how the lady with the brown hair that was in the bar made them. Mario our server was very attentive. The setting of the mall was really pretty and romantic, it is Christmas decorated making everything better!

's okay.... Food was a 7, Service a 5ish, Ambiance a 4, unless you sit outside, but not in 90 deg Miami. They didn't have several of the beers on the menu, the Kefta Fingers - ground Angus Beef n spices rolled like sausages- was kinda tough like rubber. Kibbe was really, really good with tzatiki ! The dip sampler was one of the best around. Hummus, Ganush, Red Pepper, Lebneh, with pita and veg ! Really good stuff. Inside is small, no windows or event pivtures on the walls, kina funny... As Med places go, kinda middle of the roadish, maybe a kibbe above. Would i go back ? of course.

Pasta Bolognese

The absolute best pasta bolognese I've ever had!! The lamb was cooked perfectly and the glaze was so good!!! Kids meals (not pictured) were perfect! The burger was huge and cooked perfectly! So juicy too! Service was wonderful. It was rainy so we sat inside but they have ample outside seating! Definitely recommend eating here!!

I'm giving this place 4 stars not because of the food but rather the experience. The service was great, and they offer a really nice happy hour. While the food I tried wasn't anything particularly memorable, the atmosphere and overall experience more than made up for it. The environment is welcoming, and the staff was attentive and pleasant throughout our visit. I'd definitely come back for appetizers and drinks, especially during happy hour.

Parillada

The ambiance and vibes are super cute outside. Fhe service was great and quick, no complaints. The parillada/meat board is not worth it but the Greek salad and lobster roll was to die for, would've gotten 2 more orders!!

Kefta Smashed Burger

Visited for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Had the Kefta Smashed Burger which was really good We also had a mahi sandwich which was part of the Miami spice menu. It was very light and flaky. There was also a tuna appetizer as part of the Miami spice menu that was delicious. Service was good. My only complaint is I wish they had more variety in beer choices.

Good service. Good food. Loved the cucumber wrapped roll, the hummus was excellent. Also had the Kefta (sp) and it was excellent.

Dragon Roll

Stopped in for a quick bite while at the mall. The outside garden area is so nice to sit out at while enjoying the cooler temps of the Miami seasons. We ordered the chicken kebab platter which was pretty good and it came with one side and started with a Dragon Roll for an appetizer. Everything tasted good but wasn't the best I've had of both dishes. I always crave baklava it's like a treat for me. The baklava unfortunately was really dry and hard to cut into. It broke apart and the top kept flaking off. It was messy. I like it when it's really soft. But yea it tasted fine. Like I said, I've had better. The best thing here is ambiance. We were lucky to catch belly dancing show. It was really nice and the weather as well leading to an enjoyable evening after walking the mall.

California roll

Pleasantly surprised by the quality and portion size of the food. Ambiance and service are also great. Plenty of inside and outside seating and we really enjoyed the lovely outdoor area. Our server was helpful and attentive. We had a California roll and tempura cauliflower and I must say that the cauliflower is where it's at. The teriyaki texture was solid and the honey sauce at the bottom was delicious. Larger portion than we expected and we both left satisfied. Good variety of Mediterranean and Japanese flavors on the menu. Will be back to try more!

2nd time dining at SAWA. Our first experience was lovely (December 18)! Food, service, drinks and weather were simply amazing. Returned yesterday with friends because of our great first experience. The food was delicious, our server was lovely. Unfortunately we witnessed something that not only ruined our lunch but made us all agree to not return. We had small plates on our table which were to be used for our appetizers. We used some but a few were still stacked on our table. Another server came and quickly asked/said "looks like you aren't using these...can I take them?" We replied "OK, thank you." She then took them and gave them to the couple sitting at the next table! GROSS! She had no idea if we had touched them or if they had fallen on the floor & picked up! I would be appalled if I were that couple! If this is standard operating procedures, then no thank you. I should have called a manager over. But then again, I shouldn't have to point out to an establishment what is and isn't acceptable procedures when serving food in a restaurant. Needless to say, we didn't order dessert. Asked for our check. And crossed off Sawa for good.

Cilantro Hummus

Happy hour menu and selection is the best around. Most restaurants focus more on alcohol and less on food. Sawa has a very extensive food menu on Happy hour, which was great to see. Our server gave us lots of recommendations, which we love. And we ordered most of the items she suggested. The stars of the night were the cilantro hummus and the lamb lollipops, which our server said was a 'must have'. The lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly and delicious! We sat inside due to the wind, but they have a beautiful outdoor eating area we may try next time. Overall, really good experience. We will be back.

I've had a lot of great memories throughout the years at Sawa. It's a consistent Mediterranean-Japanese (you read that right) restaurant that survived through all the ups and downs. The menu is quite extensive, so I'm sure everyone could find something they like. On a nice Florida day it's best to sit outside where they have a nice open door ambiance in a safe location, within a courtyard of Merrick park mall. Service recently was splendid. Joseph took great care. My go to dish has traditionally been the salmon kebabs, which typically come out great. I have tried the Japanese menu which too which I recall being nice. Most recently I went with the lamb lollipops and red pepper hummus. Comparative to dishes past, I wouldn't really reorder these. I just preferred the other dishes. The dessert baklava was nice. Sawa is a place I'd recommend! Enjoy.

One of my all time favorite restaurants! Food: The menu is truly fusion and there are options for vegetarians to actually have a nice meal. The dishes are tapas style and the best way to enjoy this restaurant is with a group so that you can sample a variety! Service: The service has always been spectacular! Timely seating, and the servers are really good at bringing the dishes as they are ready. Ambiance: Inside is a bit small, however comfortable. Outside is always lovely and some nights they have a belly dancing show for you to enjoy while you dine.

Valet is supposed to be $8.00 but it's 16.00. It's false advertising and it's not right.

We reserved the second floor lounge area, which was amazing. The drinks were great and the food was good. Obviously this is not a sitdown restaurant so don't come expecting a full-blown steak. The best part is that you come in through a red phone booth. Once you make a reservation, they give you a phone number to dial in and then it opens! A total experience.

The food, the cocktails, the service were all top notch. This was not the same place I disliked so much a few years ago. We were a big group and my sister picked the menu with the help of the friendly, & cool manager - I think his name was Angelo maybe. Anyway he gelped with the drink and food service and the whole team was spectacular. Water and drinks were always full and the food was delicious. We all had pan con tomate, croquetas, a delicious, crisp salad, and the thickest and fluffiest French toast. So, I stand corrected. Level 6 was fabulous, cool, with great service and delicious food. We had made reservations ahead of time which I would recommend if you plan on seating and having a bite. While we waited for our table we stood by the bar and each ordered a fabulous cocktail. The menu had it all to suit everyone's needs whatever your spirit of choice. Once seated we really just enjoyed the whole experience. We sat at a spacious table with one seating comfy enough for three and ottoman's for the rest of our party. We were comfortable as we were a party of 6. Pictures, gossip, and laughs persisted. We all ordered and shared tasty appetizers. Our spread consisted of truffle fries, grilled octopus, shrimp, potato bravas, tuna tartare, fish croquette, pan con tomate with, manchego cheese, and chicken paella. We were a happy bunch and everything we tried we all loved. As we finished with more cocktails and a surprise birthday treat, a deejay began to play and kept the mood going. Really such a nice spot for dinner, drinks, entertainment, and views.
