We headed to the bar, got a beer and dance while we watched the World Cup. I loved how the DJ kept playing the music while having the game in the background. Went for happy hour cocktails. When I asked for water, I expected the usual choice of sparkling, bottled, or tap. Instead, I was told they only serve bottled Evian, and when I asked for tap water, the waitress said they do not serve it because it is "dangerous to drink." It's an absurd money grab, every restaurant at least provides tap or filtered water free of charge. If the water is so unsafe, how are their dishes washed and produce for food rinsed? The service was equally disappointing. The waitress was condescending throughout the visit. When we asked whether gratuity was included, she said there was a 20% service charge, but when we clarified if that was her tip, she responded in a rude and dismissive way implying that it wasn't which is another absolutely absurd point. The decor is cool . LOVE the DJ during Friday happy hour . The happy hour menu is pretty good . Can't beat the prices from the HH menu. From 5-8, it's 60 % packed with the DJ playing music for millennial age group, and after 9/10ish, it is very packed , with Gen X and music to match, so caters to wide age group . Good music the entire night. Be aware of water charge . We were asked "sparkling or still" . I'm a dummy for assuming still water is tap water . After eating dinner close by, my sever recommended stopping at Copper 29 for a drink and some music. I wasn't sure what to expect because I asked the server if it was a bar or a club and his response was, it's somewhere in the middle. I walked over and the hostess was friendly and invited me inside for a drink. Immediately upon walking in, I was like, oh this is a lounge! I went early (for Miami) on a Saturday night so the crowd was light initially. I ordered a cafecito cocktail and enjoyed the music by the bar. I didn't stay long, but the music (played by a dj) was so good. A mix of everything and it made you want to dance. If my flight wasn't so early the next day, I would have stayed to dance. I decided to try this place for some cocktails. We ordered a round and also asked for water and were told they only have bottled Evian for sale because the water isn't safe to drink. I should've questioned this more because how do they even wash the glasses then? But I decided to purchase a bottle of water, which they never brought out. I asked for the check after the first round and that they please make sure I wasn't charged for the water that I never got. They didn't even apologize and then there was a 20% house charge which the waitress refused to call a tip just to get more money. read more

Went here for a girls night and this time was actually very fun. It was a full house with great music playing and vibes were high. It took a little bit to get to the bar but after being patient the mission was accomplished. We stopped by here to meet other friends for a drink before moving on to another spot because of the cool vibes from the interior decor and the great location. It is decorated like the 1930s-1940s, I'm guessing, with old-time portraits of celebrities on the walls. Even Brad Pitt has his portrait on the wall. They used old-time wallpaper and dark leather tufted furniture to complete the look. It is really cool there. Service was great and welcoming. Why are you promoting it on your Instagram page if it's not a thing? That's false advertising. We specifically came here for it. The place itself is cute and the music was really good. This was my first time entering Copper 29 and the first thing that stood out to me was the amount of security they had, which seemed unnecessary. Another thing that stood out was the decoration, they had paintings of different celebrities dressed in old military uniforms which I thought was pretty creative. We ordered some drinks and I got the Short Rib Flatbread which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. The flatbread was covered in truffle and masked the short rib flavor, which is the star of the dish. Another thing I noticed that was a bit troubling was an employee (not a bartender, not sure exactly who) in the back of bar picking mint. I noticed he put his fingers in his mouth to whistle and then continue picking out mint leafs WITHOUT washing his hands. I was automatically cautious and stopped ordering drinks. She made it fun and her vibe was exactly what we needed. We arrived in Miami after a flight delay, a stressful lay over situation, and etc. We just wanted to come somewhere fun and lovely, with good food and drink. Copper 29 did not disappoint. The music is fantastic, played Spanish music, hip hop, it was fun and people were dancing. So happy we chose to come here. The food! So good! Ehh to be honest for my first experience going there it wasn't what i expected. The hookahs are pretty weak compared to other places, the beers where pretty warm, and the servers where not very attentive and interactive. No one welcomed us upon walking in. Asked the bartender if we could sit on a high top. Did not catch the name of the server that came over she was blonde and Hispanic. She had a facial expression and audible reaction to my service dog laying down with all his identifying information and left the table. She then came back to the table staring at my service animal and said I don't think he can be inside here. I said no that's ilegal he's medical assistance and allowed inside public places. (It's not the first time it has happened to me of course- I usually carry ADA business cards). Often times the respective manager comes over and clarifies anything they need to. The manager in this case said no he can't be in here with no explanation and a huge facial expression. Another server came over and said he can't be here because it's loud and people are passing by? Okay. That has nothing to do with me or my service dog who was trained to mitigate with my disability in all public spaces. To the owner and management of the restaurant... it's very easy to spot a fake service dog from a real one. You can tell everyone employed here has not worked in the fine dining industry or trained in one. We walked down the street to another establishment...Not a word or reaction, hostess sat us down inside. Service dog tucked under my seat did not move once. Our server did not even notice there was a dog under the table. Would have loved to say something good about Copper but unfortunately I can't with this experience.
