Things I love about this place: We stayed in the Guest Suite for 5 days and 5 nights. Clean, perfect for two people). 1. I appreciate that we were able to make Thanksgiving dinner. With a hot plate (stove top, convection oven, and microwave). 2. In fact we had all our meals cooked and baked in the small kitchenette. I brought some small tin baking pans (I was able to disposed after use.) I highly recommend buying and bringing up groceries and food you will cook, there aren't a lot of restaurants nearby. 3. Peaceful scenery. 4. We appreciated Joseph (manager) kindness and hospitality. 5. I love being away far from the city. 6. The stars at night. 7. About 35 minutes to King's Canyon entrance and an hour from Sequoia National park. 8. The drive there is absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend this place!

I'm not sure how I found this place since it is such an off-the-beaten-path from things but that's what makes it great, too. We usually enter into Sequoia National Park via Three Rivers, but we wanted to try another area and I took the suggestion from someone on TikTok and was pleasantly surprised by the property. This is the most interesting (IMHO) and coolest fun fact: Synanon cult used to own this land. Google it. Very interesting. And looking around the property you can see where remnants from the past still lingers. BUT, it isn't the whole reason you should go. This is closest to the King's Canyon entrance into the park. And the drive to all of that is gorgeous from all the rains we've been having in California. The property hosts RVs and there are houses to rent. We rented a 3-bedroom home for 7-people and had no issues. Plenty of space inside. BBQ with gas provided. Dishes and cookware provided too. You have to bring all your food and stuff to eat or drink and there is NO STORE OR GROCERY to pick up anything you left behind ANYWHERE nearby. So don't plan on picking it up down the road. There is a bar with food nearby though but definitely not walking distance. Overall I highly recommend this property. Family friendly and dog friendly.

We loved our trip and was so impressed with this hidden gem. Joseph was awesome, he runs the camp he is so kind and friendly and always available. Free laundry bring your own detergent, cute little pond with boats, free bikes to ride around. So peaceful and well kept. Close to Kings Canyon entrance, no grocery stores close by so be as prepared as you can. The office has some essentials and not overpriced. Can't wait to come back.

Came here over the weekend. We stayed at house#3. It was clean, spacious, cozy. Good for family. Very serene. We will definitely come back. The house have all the necessities. Bring grocery because its far from any grocery stores. Gas up. Theres no phone service, i dont mind. Wifi is a bit slow. But its okay im here to getaway from the city not to go online. I didnt have a chance to walk around the resort 2 days was not enough. There were pretty nice paintings all over the house. Based on other reviews i agree with the road on the way to the resort is very winding and narrow. It was scary to drive on at night it was completely dark, even with high beam. We came across an owl in the middle of the road on the way to the resort which was pretty cool, i thought it was a cat at first. The drive on the way home from the resort is breathtaking.

I stayed here with my wife's extended family over 6 days in July, 2017. We rented houses 1, 3, and four during this time. House 2 is very small and was not rented while we were there, so we had the place to ourselves. It was great (I really struggled between a four star and five star rating. The only reason I rated this place four stars is that the houses need a little TLC. This is true of the decks as opposed to the interior of the houses. The combination of price and proximity to King's Canyon/Sequoia would make me book again in a heartbeat. That said, the owner says he is planning to add more homes. There are five or six places that have been graded and sewer lines are already in. I would still have been impressed with the resort, but if there were additional units, we would not have had the place to ourselves.

Small pond, but neat to hike to!

Went for 6 days/5nights a few weeks back. What an amazing place! Pond was low, but that didn't stop us from enjoying water inside of the national parks. Our host was one of the most knowledgeable and friendly people I have met (and we traveled a lot last year!). Only drawback was driving the road with the 32' motorhome. The locals drive fast and are very impatient. Other than that, great pricing for full hookups and so much fun biking around for my kids. The tire swing was their favorite! Thanks again and hope to come back next year!

One of the best place I've ever visited. We stay at Sequoia Resort 3 times and every time was amazing. Calm place with amazing nature near Sequoia National Park. Last time we rented house #1 for one week and spent this week without phones, internet and social media. Walked around, observed and meditated. Like this place and will come back again and again! Thank you :)

Wonderful and peaceful. Very close to the parks. It is also super friendly for pets, kids and RVs and has decent views. Chris was absolutely amazing right from when we booked weeks ago to the time we checked out. He even offered to FaceTime in case we wanted to check out the place. All in all, he is super approachable and the very best in response time and patience I have seen. Thanks Chris! The place itself is nestled amongst the hills, so please expect windy roads but you will be rewarded with gorgeous views, a great host, a peaceful and fun stay. We were in a time crunch and couldn't really explore a lot - and so, we hope to come back soon another time to enjoy the vast property and its views.

My family and I spent a few nights in House 4 this week. It was perfect for our family of 5. The house was very clean with a fully stocked kitchen, just bring your own food. The host was very friendly and accommodating, she even brought me extra coffee and creamer. I love that they have communal bicycles, my kids really enjoyed them. Distance from the parks is great as well, yes the road is narrow and winding but the best places are always hard to get to. If you're planning on visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia you should be prepared as all the roads are similar. I highly recommend staying here instead of the hotels inside the parks unless camping. You'll pay the just about the same amount for a 2 queen old basic room inside the parks as a whole house here and it's so worth it. It's only about a 30 minute drive into Kings Canyon and the road up is beautiful. We will definitely be returning, we are already talking about getting a group together and renting out a couple of the houses next summer. The view from the deck was also great, plenty of outdoor seating on the deck as well. Also has a propane bbq all ready to go. 10/10 would/will stay here again!

It's literally across from the fishing area, picnic area, farthest from the traffic and road noise. The water has a fountain and ongoing movement of water, perhaps that's why it seems more natural looking vs stagnant and gross. Most of this area and the opposite side of the river is undeveloped so it has a nature feel that most campsites I've been to don't give. And I've been to lots of them. My Hubby and sons caught like 7, 8, and 20 fish they said. All catch and release. Tons of catfish & bass. Some are so huge. Keep staring at the water near the small metal dock there and you might see them all. We are in site 122. The road noise woke me up at 6am, so I put in my earplugs and slept until 9am. For my future self, make sure to keep a permanent earplug stash in the RV. Other times I've been in other sites and the noise wasn't an issue and we've stayed here at least 3-4x. It's not glamorous, it doesn't have a ton of extra like a pool, putting greens, pool table, snack bar, etc. But it does have a small, shaded kids play area, volleyball net, basketball hoop, shaded picnic tables. It's so country feeling and relaxing. Its quiet & thats what I prefer when I go camping. This is one of my favorite camping spots in the cooler months of early Spring like March. One day I'd like to come here & camp on my way to Yosemite or Kings Canyon. Great rates & highly suggest.

And do not get me wrong, the place is in fact miles and miles and cubic centimeters of forest as commonly imagined. It had tall trees, meadows, dirt paths with twigs and shrubs all around and views so expansive the word majestic comes to mind. But after walking the same scenery for hours the beauty in green became a dull brown motif. Wood sprites might have heard my words or seen my unimpressed and tired face because Sequoia stopped being a forest of trees and green and it started to become a land of different weathers that not only gave me new challenges and vistas to experience but it also gave me beauty I had to endure. As I saw my friend Denise walk into a spherical cloud of fog, I realized that this place oscillated between being both proof of nature's magic and her jagged disposition. The fog seemed like a portal to Avalon where Pulk waited with prose, but it was also a reminder of all the sailors and drivers lost when the thickness of mist impairs good visual choices. The fog sphere was seen after Denise and I walked for hours, uphill, to see Morro Rock. As we walked up, we first passed mist that seem to have broken from a cloud. This was a sensational moment. She and. had both skydove but this is the first time where we felt like we walked through cloud veils, insetad of zooming past them with the hope of gravitiy abandon. I do not think I will ever re-feel the sensation of walking on cloud air, literally. She and I got separated. I thought I could follow the signs. But the signs were tricksters. As I walked toward the museum I saw a sign that said this way to Crescent Meadow. I did not see a sign that said this way to Crescent Meadow (pointing to the left) and this way to the Museum (pointing ahead). I assumed that because I no longer saw signs assuring me that I was on the right path, I must have gotten into the wrong one. I share this as the biggest piece of advice that I wish to give: Stay the trail, despite not having signs of reassurance that you are still in the right direction. The signs, and my broken internal compass, are both valid reasons as to why I eventually left the designated path and got lost. Like legit lost in the wilderness of Sequoia. I was not in an episode of Naked and Afraid but I did feel scared, disoriented and like I would not see my life tomorrow. Before I got to this point of panic, I arrived at a bluff of a white mountain that saw me greet miles of green pines that streched as far as the eye could see. It was a Rocky-like-triumph moment, except that I had to drag myself, as I sat, down this white mountain, but that was my survival experience that I am proud to have endured. After sliding down, I searched for paths that seemed walked on before, and found several that I had to follow and eliminae. I climbed over trees by hugging their fallen bark, and almost lost my shoe. I continued and eventually found a path and others humans. I was save for now. I got lost again but this time my survival was quicker as I walked down to the road. Rangers told me that I was not able to ride in the truck after I explained I was scared and unable to find my way twice. One of them told me to follow the road and eventually I would hit the museum. I did just that and I found my friend Denise waiting in the museum. After hugs laced with relief, she and I continued our trek to Sherman. But we got hit by rain. I had a hoodie. She did not. Her face looked beautiful covered with the remains of heavy rain. We walked and the sleet followed. We were wet, damp, and we were scared. What could be next? We could not find our path to Sherman. We waved people down, hoping that someone would take us to our car near Sherman. Eventually, we met Chester and he let us both into his car. The snow now was falling hard. She and I did not expect snow. We did not expect white to fall from the sky not when we were promised green on top of green all around. We got to the car and she drove in Snow for the first time. It was both scary and and beuatiful. I imagined that I was in snow caped mountains seeing frozen giants walk around. The night was gray. The monsters were there. She worried about us not having snow tired but still we drove down the snow covered pines, in a pilgramage to safety. Before we left the park we saw mist contrasted in the dark of the knight. It was a spooky evening, yes, the one that frames scary stories. But for us the night mist was further proof that Sequoia offers weather that is cyclical within a day. With space from the experience, I am only happythat I visited the place and was ensconsed by its many seasons. And, grateful that I survived the beauty of it all.
