Save your money! Ordered basic two egg meal, the eggs were overcooked and had brown/greenish spots throughout. Tables went un-bussed and were never wiped down. Only one person doing everything. Stopped in here because every other place in town had a 30 minute wait since it was Mother's Day. As other reviewers have said it was super hot inside, so we opted to dine on the patio. They have lots of choices on the menu, but be ready for some sticker shock. Also, be aware that the food in the pictures is more than you will receive on the plate. The servers were very friendly and I can't fault the service much other than the fact that I had to go inside and ask again for the ranch dressing we requested 10 minutes before. I ordered the Chile Verde, which was quite good and flavorful. I was disappointed with the portion size considering I paid $20 for what little I got. Overall the food was acceptable, just really expensive for what you get. In total we ordered a Chile Verde plate, southwestern hamburger, citrus grilled chicken, and a house salad with 3 sodas and 1 beer. The total including tax/tip came to $104. Had breakfast on the patio on a sunny day in July before going to Sequoia National Park. Even though we were alone on the patio and there were more people inside, the server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the huevos rancheros with choice of tortilla type and the "Big Meal" to share (going hiking!). We go to Sequoia annually and this has become one of the places that I hit up for breakfast and or lunch. We went there Friday night. The service was ok. we enjoyed being out in the night air. I usually LOVE the food but this time it was just ok. I look forward to the steak but mine was over cooked and not seasoned well. the potatoes have gotten smaller too. The biggest gripe I have is that we decided to go back the following evening and they were closed. There were no signs from the night before so we were kind of confused. Given the limited number of places to eat in the area we decided to give this place a try. We had an early dinner, so it was pretty easy to get seating. Our order was taken pretty quickly and the food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. I had the filet medium rare and it came out in two pieces which was odd. One piece was well done and the other was closer to medium. The flavor was pretty good though. Had a bit of a smoky flavor from the grill which was nice. The green beans still had the stems on which was a bit odd and the carrots were alternately too hard or too soft. My wife had BBQ ribs, the half rack. It was a bit smaller than what we have normally gotten at other restaurants. It also was pretty well flavored and tasted pretty good. My biggest complaint was that once the food was out our waiter disappeared. I waited 15 minutes to get a refill and look at dessert options, then finally went inside to look for the waiter and waited another three minutes to no avail. Finally I went back outside and flagged down a waitress to just bring us our bill so we could leave. There are other places in town that are much better. read more

I enjoyed my "veggie burger" which was a pile of grilled veggies rather than a patty and pretty yummy nachos. One issue was we were eating on the patio and 2 cats jumped up on multiple tables that had yet to be cleared (and even on a table while people were eating) and ate the scraps. This a must stop for my husband and I every time we come to three rivers. No matter if its breakfast, lunch, or dinner they have a fantastic selection. Don't forget to try the Sequoia burger it is so amazing you have to eat it with a fork and knife. Between the service and the food their is no reason not stop and enjoy a meal. Chicken sandwich was excellent value - 5. The chili was inexpensive for a giant serving, but tasted too much of tomato soup - 3. Averages to a 4. I didn't have the burger but they have a charcoal grill to cook them outside and I imagine they were very good. Great to bring a young family. read more

Three Rivers is a very small town (they don't even have a McDonald's) so naturally we had to lower our expectation when it comes to food. For that, I think this place was decent. Kids ordered nuggets and hotdog, both of them were OK. I had the cheeseburger, it was cook pretty decent as well. Meat was not completely dried and the bun was warm and toasty. Wife had the garlic shrimp, a bit expensive for the amount of food and the vege quality was very so-so, but at least the shrimp was cooked well. Honestly the best part of the dinner was the fries. We all had fries with our dishes (and pretty generous portion) and we almost finished all the fries. They were fresh, crispy, and with perfect amount of salt. Overall it was a bit on the pricey side for the quality of food we get, but again we weren't expecting too much in this town. read more

My family stayed in the area over the long July 4th weekend visiting Sequoia National Park so we got to try lots of restaurants around the area (not that there are many restaurants in Three Rivers to choose from to begin with...). Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant was okay. Pretty average food but when you're hungry from exploring Sequoia National Park all day, this restaurant will do just fine. I tried their Hawaiian burger one day and the ribeye steak another day. The Hawaiian burger was alright but I wouldn't get it again cause it was super messy! Drenched in sauce that got everywhere. My fingers were sticking to the napkins I was using to wipe the sauce off. Not enjoyable. If there was less sauce, I would've liked it better as it was an okay burger. The ribeye was good but as long as the steak is cooked right, you can't really mess it up for me. I got their strawberry milkshake one day. Would not recommend unless you enjoy artificial Nesquik strawberry flavored milkshakes. The milkshake totally brought me back to my childhood days of drinking Nesquik. Unfortunately, I didn't like Nesquik then and I don't like the taste now. I got the strawberry lemonade another day which was alright and just tasted like regular lemonade with some artificially sweetened strawberries thrown in. Decent internet here was a plus! read more

This spot is the worse of worse. We asked for a table on the patio which was super dirty. My husband asked if they can cleaned, they took long time coming so I cleaned the table with some wipes I had. It was so dirty that we went inside to ask for a table inside. The other waitress gave us the table on the side of the restroom even there were 99% availability, so I ask for other table further from the restroom. We waited for almost an hour noticing that both waitresses ignored us. I call the first waitress who was around to see if she can take order; she mentioned that we were rude because we didn't brought the menus inside and left. My hour and half visit to that restaurant ended and will never be back or will recommended to any one. They are lucky I gave them 1 star. read more

This review is based on the one dinner experience we had while staying a couple nights in Three Rivers. We ordered the rib-eye steak- meat was strictly OK, and mash potatoes seemed like out of a box; chipotle shrimp- flavorful spicy chipotle gravy; curly fries- oily and unseasoned; pina colada- tasted like coconut oil with foam, very unpleasant taste; mojito- nothing out of the ordinary, in fact less than ordinary wherein the flavors of the drink were off by just a little. We later learned through another Yelp review that their cocktails are wine-based because of a limited liquor license. Not sure if this is true; it certainly wasn't stated anywhere while ordering the drinks. Service was below basic expectation- unclean indoor table, we weren't offered water, and it felt that while we sat indoors folks outdoors got quicker service and attention. The hostess & server seemed pleasant, but the service was just lacking on the whole. read more

This place gets a 5 star rating for being the only good place in town.... We were in 3rivers for 5 days and when talking to locals found that this was pretty much the only place for dinner that anyone was willing to recommend since it very recently reopened. So if you find yourself in 3rivers this is at the time of this writing the ONLY place in town that serves good food. They have a grill setup outside and their steaks and grilled meats are very good and tasty. We started with beers and chips and salsa... the salsa was not spicy so we asked if we could get something spicy for it and WOW we got it... Great. The main dishes were of good quality, quantity and were served by pleasant staff. Keep it up and I have no doubt you guys will thrive.. read more

Okay so i only have been to this place once and probably won't be back..not because i hated it...but because i won't be in the area again. after trying to find a place to eat in town and even looking at other yelp reviews we decided to check this place out. I didn't expect much based off what people were saying but I'm very low maintenance and can deal with a non 5 star restaurant. the parking is a good size for the size of the building and it was relatively easy to find. the restaurant itself inside is pretty unattractive...they should invest in a remodel. I had no issues with the service besides the fact all workers seem to forget to stay in the dining area to attend to customers needs if needed ( they seem to like to stay in back of house to chat ) they also brought out the food relatively fast. they had a good size menu also. But i think what most people care about is the FOOD . I got a chorizo burger and it sounded interesting so i got it. The burger was indeed chorizo meat mixed with ground beef but...that was it..the burger had no personality it was super dry and had no sauce or anything that would compliment the chorizo concept..it was literally just a dry bun with lettuce and tomato..maybe some onion i don't remember..why Not some Ortega chili's with some sort of southern or Mexican spread? anything would have been nice (especially for the price!).My friend got ribs and mash potatoes and said the ribs were decent but the potatoes were dry with zero cream or flavor.I wish this place the best of luck. I'm sure the people who run this place are nice people but i hope they realize they have a issue going on and its definitely the food. read more

Was on my way to Moro Rock when I saw this huge sign claiming "VOTED BEST BBQ & STEAKS" Anytime I see a sign like that I always mentally go "let's do this." but always forget to commit to the challenge. On the way back, I needed a post-hike meal. I remembered the ludicrous sign and thought, challenge accepted. :) The rib-eye steak was cooked perfectly. Right amount of seasoning cooked medium with a good amount of char from the wood grill. Flavor was on point and would give the steak alone a 4.5/5. For $20 this was a steal, IMO. The actual restaurant itself needed some up keeping. When seated, I couldn't help but notice being surrounded by a bunch of unbussed tables. No biggie, but our table was sticky and had 2 different style and sized tables in our booth? The steak more than made up for the negatives, would definitely return for a delicious steak. BTW, if a place claims to have the best steaks and bbq in town, don't friggin order the veggie burger and seafood. Just sayin' :) read more

This restaurant has a nice porch to seat outside, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is more like a diner. We both ordered the Steak medium rare with a potato and veggies. The steak was perfectly juicy and seasoned and medium rare (after I read other reviews I was worried). The veggies were fresh and I loved them. The baked potato was huge and they put A LOT of butter in it, probably around 3 tablespoons which was definitely too much. Don't come here for the wine, they only have cheap brands and the red wine is served too warm. But overall I was pleasantly surprised about the food. read more

The service was great!! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We stopped in unexpectedly and were the only ones in the place. I was a bit put off when I saw a well used fly strip hanging near the bathrooms - that's rather unappetizing. The potato was the biggest I've ever seen and the veggies were tender. The rib-eye was cooked as ordered, but was almost inedible because of the heavy handed job with the pepper. There was so much that I would have thought the pepper shaker had spilled onto the steak. I ordered the New York strip with shrimp and my Husband the ribeye. First question I asked was is this place good with temperatures because we both like our steak medium rare. She said yes and we were excited. Waited at least 30 minutes but a good meal is worth it. Brought the steak and Both were over well done. Seasonal veggies a bunch of soft carrots with 1 broccoli spear. Baked potato good, garlic toast good. Sent back both steaks. I changed to ribs. My husband tried again. His steak came back 15 minutes later RAW!! Looked like the chef pulled it out, grilled it for a second on each side and threw it on the plate. I got my ribs and pulled them apart to share with my husband then pulled a giant long black hair out of the ribs. I got up after sending my husbands plate back again and said we were done. People sitting next to us looked amazed as well. I just said we need to pay and leave. They presented a $69 check when all we had was baked potato, garlic toast and a margarita. I told the manager there was no way I would pay that and he tried to defend the food, saying "that's funny, nobody that works here has black hair." After I mentioned the hair in the ribs.GET THIS! The chef then walked out with a mean face after cooking the steak for the third time and.... She had black hair!! We love going to new places but this was a big mistake. We will NEVER stop here again and be careful what you order from places like this. Paid $37 for a baked potato, garlic toast and 2 margaritas. Unbelievable! read more

The nachos were topped with flavorless ground beef and the beef enchiladas tasted over cooked and had a overall disgusting red sauce. OFirst thing we noticed when we walked up was the sign "voted best BBQ and steak" My bf got the BBQ ribs and I got the garlic shrimp.. the ribs were amazing.. fall of the bone amazing.. but for 17.99 you get a half rack and fries that is it. My garlic shrimp was 16.99 and I got 8-10 shrimp (honestly I didn't count them) and 2 sides.. not bad! My only complaint is they charge for everything and it gets a little spendy.. with the mozzarella sticks it was 6.99 and you get 1 small marinara and pay $1 for a small ranch. For a side of garlic bread it was .99 cents.. so for 2 people for dinner it was $52.. Nice place.. great ribs.. just a little over priced for the portions! read more

Food is simple and ok, kind of what comes out when you are learning to use your oven. DEFINITELY not worth what they charge though. We ordered a veggi burger and a cod-fish dish. No drinks. 28.06+tip. The fish was ok and came with ok red rice but overcooked veggies. To my surprise the carrots were not peeled and were dark. The color you'll find before washing them. Unless you fill up your stomach with fries, the burger size won't do much for a main dish. We are not from the area but wanted to try something local. I can't recommend anything around but this is not a stop worth doing in my opinion. read more
