Dropped in during our stay at AutoCamp. Plenty of parking available. Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted and seated by the host, Beatriz. If you like Chilaquiles, but can't decide on green or red, you can order "Chilaquiles Divorciados." Also, a great way to decide which you'd like to order again (for locals). I ended up enjoying the red chilaquiles the most; sauce had a good authentic flavor. I also recommend asking for their chip salsa to dress your eggs. Overall, an all around great food experience and service; Beatriz was a sweetheart.
Location had inside and outside seating. Service was prompt and friendly. Their Jamaica agua fresca was amazing it tasted authentic as if it was made from the actual hibiscus flower. We had the shrimp ceviche which was good and lemony. We also had the Red Snapper aka Huachinango, tacos gobernador and a Gordita of asada (not pictured). We liked everything but the gordita of asada. It had a super weird flavor to it I don't know if it was what it was fried in or if it was the meat. We would recommend the other plates we got just not the gorditas.
The old Sequoia Cider Mill Restaurant is now La Longosta. Sadly the smoker is gone. But the new ownership is continuing the tradition of large portions and friendly service. It's hard to beat any breakfast dish for $9.99.

Drove from Los Angeles to Sequoia Park and I had my birthday dinner at this place. Dinner was delicious! It tastes like homemade food! Staff is super friendly. The owner came to talk to us and was super friendly as well. Great customer service and delicious food. We loved the patio, truly local vibes!
My cheese enchiladas were so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. The restaurant had 4 other people inside and we never saw our waitress. We waited 20 minutes for chip refills and my husband water wasn't refilled until his meal was just about finished. We will NOT be returning and we don't recommend this place.
Review: La Langosta - Three Rivers Rating: 2/5 stars I visited La Langosta around 6:00 PM, and while several tables were already occupied, there was only one server covering the entire floor. This led to a service experience that felt lackluster and stretched thin, which is a tough spot for any single staff member to be in during the dinner rush. The Appetizers As is standard, we were started with chips and salsa. They serve two varieties, and the pico de gallo was easily the highlight of the pair. Unfortunately, the green salsa was disappointing and lacked any real depth or flavor. The Food The menu offers a wide variety of choices. We opted for two dinner combos: * Plate 1: Chile relleno, carne asada taco, and a cheese enchilada. * Plate 2: Chile relleno and a carne asada taco. Both were served with white rice, beans topped with cotija cheese, and a small side salad. The salad was dressed with a very watery Thousand Island dressing that didn't add much to the meal. While the beans and rice were standard, the main items were just "okay"--nothing particularly stood out. The biggest disappointment was that one of the plates arrived cold, which gave the impression that the components might have been reheated in a microwave rather than prepared fresh to order. The Atmosphere & Authenticity Overall, the flavors felt safe and somewhat muted. It seems the kitchen is catering more to the local Three Rivers tourist demographic rather than staying true to authentic roots. If you are looking for bold, traditional Mexican cuisine, this might fall short of expectations. I left feeling like I was still on the hunt for a truly standout meal in town.
Came up here for a weekend trip. Wanted some grub. The carne asada was actually good. A little on the greasy end. The burrito of asada 7/10. Shrimp Fajitas 6/10. Combo #3 7/10. The shrimp with bacon was good. Salsa was mild. Quesadilla 7/10. The girls at the front desk were very nice. Phone order was done on time. Restaurant was spacious and clean.
Delicious seafood tacos Brand new and clean inside and out. Excellent waitress and owner introduced himself too . Wish I lived closer.
This place is amazing! The service is great and above all, the food is truly authentic Mexican food. All the flavors are there and the portions are pretty big. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
We were greeted with nicely. The servers were very attentive and the place was clean and well taken care of. Our server was Jenny. Very nice lady and always was checking in to see if we needed anything. We were started off with chips and salsa. I will say that the red salsa (salsa roja) was very spicy but it was good! I told my mom it reminded me of hers and she agreed! They also brought us a guacamole salsa and green salsa (salsa verde) which both were good. All three salsas were authentic in flavor and over all good! Even the tortilla chips. For our plates, which I will say, the portions are big! My dad got the molcajete and he couldn't finish it but he said it was very good and tasty. It had shrimp, chicken, ranchera meat, chorizo sausage, and cheese. My dad asked if it came with octopus and the server said no but that they would be happy to add it and so they did! My dad was very pleased with his plate. My mother got the longosta plate. She also enjoyed it and said it was flavorful! I ordered a chicken gordita and a pupusa because I thought they were small but they were pretty big and I couldn't finish either of them. However, they were very good and good size for the price, $8. Overall, great experience, deliciously authentic food and great service! I would definitely recommend.

I tried La Langosta this morning for the first time... my friends were telling me that they liked it. It's a no-frills Mexican Restaurant with basic good food very nice service staff and convenient location in Three Rivers CA Tuesday specials are breakfast menu everything $9.99, tacos are $1.99 excluding shrimp and fish Simple, no nonsense food and decor, sweet courteous staff which trumps everything for me I'll be back and bring what friends I have... read more

I'm in town visiting Sequoia Park for the first time, and rented a house in Three Rivers. We're not too familiar with the town (just yet), but we wanted to have dinner at a nice restaurant tonight and found La Longosta on Google, and Yelped them. They don't have as many reviews as other places, but we noticed they had the highest stars. So we gave them a try. My husband had also pointed out prior to eating there that La Longosta had a really low amount of reviews (I think under 50) with a score of 4.6 stars, compared to Casa Mendoza up the street with over 1,200 reviews and 3.6 stars. Well, my husband said, "This is why sometimes less is certainly more!", because despite not having a ton of reviews yet, this place blew us away. The flavors and portions were outstanding. The customer service was great! We were greeted and seated immediately, got some chips and salsa on the house (the salsas were great!), and we got drinks right away. Food didn't take too long, either. Now, I totally judge Mexican restaurants on three things - and if these three things are bad, then it's always downhill from there for me: 1) House/table salsa. 2) Beans. 3) Rice. When these simple staples of any Mexican cuisine are done completely wrong, almost always everything else lacks. My husband and me looked at one another and right away commented on the refried beans! They were very delicious. Oh! And their tortillas are all homemade on the spot. I mean.......come on!! My husband got the Asada plate. The meat was cooked perfectly and seasoned very nicely! I got the combo #2 with 1 asada taco (I asked for dorado), 1 cheese enchilada, and 1 chile relleno. I left no crumbs! My two teen daughters got the Botana Frita which comes with mussels, octopus, and shrimp, and mixed with veggies in a spicy red sauce. This was super tasty!!! The sauce was very delicious with just enough spice that wouldn't overwhelm your palate. And for my two little ones, they settled for the chicken tenders with fries. They were pretty good, and a nice option for the kiddos that don't like Mexican food. We plan to make this an annual trip with the kids and we've already claimed this spot as the must-stop when coming back! Highly recommend! 10/10 read more

The food is delicious!!! Creative spices on the carne asada, wonderful fish (bass) tacos, shrimp dishes are varied and a delight to the taste buds in addition to beautiful presentations. My friend had Agua Chilies and was happy! ( She's ordered it three times already!) The service is friendly and they have been very accommodating! The place is clean too! read more
