I needed to run a quick errand downtown, so I figured I would stop into Sephora to finally get the foundation I ran out of a while ago. I had my baby and 6YO with me, so I knew this needed to be a quick in and out. When I arrive, I realize I can't even remember the shade I previously had in this foundation. I tell my 6YO "hang tight right here with the baby, I'm going to go talk to that employee right over there" (it's a nightmare navigating the narrow aisles with a stroller). As I'm walking up to the associate, I'm about to catch her attention when another lady approaches her at the same exact time as me, asking her question a split second before I could get mine out. No problem at all, I can wait. I know this associate could identify I was patiently waiting by, but it seemed like she was intentionally avoiding me and as I hear my screaming baby across the store, and don't see any other associate available, I calmly and politely say "I'm so sorry to interrupt you guys, but my baby is crying over there and I just need help with some Haus Lab foundation when someone gets a chance". This associate didn't even make eye contact with me when she said "yep, wait a minute" with a hand gesture as if to tell me to stop talking. Okay, sure. I went back over to my baby and 6YO, unsure if she was going to get someone to help me. As I'm standing there for quite some time, she brings the other lady over to the same exact aisle I'm in and starts color matching her. She never acknowledged me once, while I'm trying to soothe my crying baby, hoping to get a quick sample so I can be out of there. I understand she was helping another gal, but a simple and assuring "I will help you as soon as I can!" would have made a world of a difference. It's clear I was an inconvenience to this associate. I'm still standing there with my children as she walks away with the other lady. Several minutes pass and I'm approached by another associate asking "have you been helped?" I calmly say "no, sadly it seems like I'm being ignored". She happily helped me find my shade and I was out of there within minutes. But I will say, I've never felt so disheartened leaving a Sephora before. This was an awful experience, and I am not looking forward to visiting this Sephora location again. read more

This location Sephora customer service is awful. Second time I had been there and even in empty store stuff kept talking with each other and never paid attention to me, ignored me. Cashier wasn't friendly, never said "hello" or smile, didn't even looked at me. read more

As a former Sephora product consultant myself, I was shocked that I wasn't approached once while shopping even when I was looking confused, going back-and-forth, wondering where the brands were. I was in the store for a good 30 minutes without anyone greeting me, the lack of customer service in the Sephora store is disappointing. I will not be back to this location again. read more

Went in and got the BEST help and service! Everyone here is so sweet! Had genuine conversations with some of the employees and didn't feel the judging "I work at Sephora" vibes you get at other places. Any other Sephora location I've visited has almost too much customer service, but this one seems to have the opposite problem. Almost every time I have gone in, I have had to hunt someone down for help. When I have received help, they've been generally friendly, but they don't seem to always listen to what I'm saying. I expressed interest in a certain foundation, for example, and I was given a full face of a VERY different foundation. I appreciate that they will do applications, but the coverage was exactly the opposite of what I was looking for. Additionally, I feel like there is quite a bit of pressure to make a purchase. On one occasion, I was promised that a specific product was cruelty-free (adamantly assured in a way that made me wonder if there was a commission issue going on), only to do a quick Google search to learn that it was not. I don't expect the salespeople to know this information off the top of their head, but you should never make false claims to customers. To add insult to injury, Sephora keeps a list behind the counter with this information, so a quick check would have saved everyone time and hassle - and saved Sephora from looking a bit shady. read more

(I wish I could give this store 3.5 stars. I'm rounding up). Okay, so one of my daughters is a Sephora addict (and I too am a fan). So it was with giddy anticipation that we saw this store at the mall. I was in the market for a nail polish and my kid just likes...everything. We were struck by how tiny this store was, and how meager their inventory (as compared to other Sephoras). I was disappointed by the small selection of nail polishes they had, and how the least expensive one started at $12. That's just not normal! The staff were pleasant and there were clerks walking around the store, asking us if we needed any help (which I liked). All in all, this is a fun store that stocks the basics but not a heck of a lot more (again, as comparing it only to other, larger Sephora stores). read more

Called this store asking to have a concealer put on hold for me & the associate hung up on me, so I proceeded to call back & she told me the concealer would be put on hold for me & when I got there that was far from the case. I had to wait in a long line with only one cashier who was very pushy about sales, had me get out of line to get my product bc it wasn't on hold, got back in line just to wait again to see the same cashier just for her to push some sale on me multiple times when I was already making a 30 buck purchase saying I should've went to that store to begin with & the online sale doesn't matter to her bc its not supporting a local store. So if you're in a time crunch or just have a low patience tolerance, go to a different sephora. read more

I have been to several much larger Sephoras and have always had a good experience in the stores. This is only my second time going out of my way to go to one in town since I live way on the other end, and I left happy with spending much, much more than I intended to. If you leave feeling good about spending money you didn't want to spend, that's a good sign. So I walked in and within a minute had an associate mingling around me. I asked for her advice regarding foundations, apparently, I suck at this and have hard to match skin as well. She helped a little but when she realized I needed more help than she could give asked if I would mine waiting for one of the makeup experts that do the color matching to be free, I had no problem with that. To some it may be a turn off that they make you wait for someone else or that she didn't help me herself but I much rather prefer someone experienced to help than to take advice from someone knowledgeable but not able to provide the maximum help for my needs. I waited around and the girl finally able to help me was great! She was super patient and tried several things until we found something that worked for me, and also gave me a few pointers on how to make it blend better. I ended up buying EVERYTHING she put on my face. Not because she was pushy and trying to sell it to me, but because I was happy with the results and finally after years found something that looked decent. The manager was also amazing, before I even knew she was the manager she popped by to talk for a few and saw her engaging with others. I was going to go home to purchase everything online since I had a VIP 10% off coupon, and she even honored the discount there so i didnt have to go through that hassle. Check out was also fast and friendly, I didn't feel rushed. I chatted about some products with the girls, and was on my way. I would definitely (and will) stop by here again. And if you need make up advice on any subject, don't hesitate to ask these ladies. Now, I will say if you are "new" to the Sephora chain, this is no subpar place where you can get makeup for $5 and be on your way. Sure, the Sephora brand is a little cheaper but expect most products to run as low as $10 to $50 with the average price per item being between $20-$40. So this isn't a place to look for cheap makeup, but it IS a place to look for good quality makeup that you will be happy with and can test it out in the store instead of just "guessing". read more

I have been here once or twice before. I have been largely ignored and had to hunt, like literally walk up quietly stalk and pop up in front of someone and say HEY! The most memorable from the last time I was here I asked some super young employee about a lipstick I had purchased from Sephora and loved and but had completely used, she stopping briefly midstride looked over her shoulder and goes "hmm that doesn't sound familiar" smirked and added "maybe it was like a really old product because I don't know it" Not that she was helping anyone but the store was cramped and on that day had quite a few customers so I just left. Then last time I stopped in, while waiting for my appointment at the Apple store to get a very specific thing that I brought with me. It was out of stock on the shelf, and again I had to hunt and stalk someone down to find where it was then track down someone else to point out that it seemed to be missing. All she did was stare at it and go, "yeah" I then coached her to "well is there some overstock somewhere?" She acted like that was new idea and looked into the draw but didn't find anything then simply apologized. So then I coached her again "okay well its just powder right? Do you have colors in this powder somewhere else in the store." So then she brought me to another section and tried to match them but guess what those were out too, she then tried another section that if you are counting a third resort but a las those were out as well! Not only that but by this generation of product the colors weren't even close to being the same. Frustrated I told her I was done and started to walk out of the store but another product caught my eye BUT guess what! That was it was out to!! All told there were two "bright" things about my trip that I guess warrant that forced one start. A) while hunting for employees and waiting for stock checks I came across a huge ass display of the lipstick that, the lady from the previous time had never heard of and deemed must have been 'old' AND B) the employee at the back who seemed not allowed to help customers with things like matching colors or things like that was awesome. She was tall and had her under-layer shaved with purple in her hair on top. She tried really-really hard to find solutions, she preemptively called around to other stores, and would look in the back-just in case (even it was just for show it was better than the blank stare). I don't know if she was in training or a manager but whatever that store needs more of her. read more

When I first heard of Sephora I thought it was one of those tacky fragrance stores in the mall that sell tacky colognes. Sephora is in all ways the real deal. The products are first quality and are all name brands. Like Deborah Lippmann, Clinique, Marc Jacobs, and, Clarisonic. I love this place. read more

The staff here is so fun and they know their make-up. I've been color matched a couple times, which has helped with foundations. I always feel pretty when I leave with a black and white stripped bag of goodies and a fresh make-over. My only (small) problem is their inventory. They seem to be out of popular products and colors quite often. I have been able to find the items elsewhere, but it would be nice to know I can go in for an item and get it when I do visit the store. Overall, I love Sephora and they hire quality people who seem to really enjoy what they do. read more

Jenny was awesome yesterday at the downtown Spokane Sephora. She really went out of her way to provide five star customer service! Sadly, I had developed an issue with my favorite Sephora brand makeup eyeshadow pencils and she took a return with no hassle and swapped it out for something that would be hopefully less irritating to my skin. I am a Beauty Insider member and I always get freebies as well, which of course, I love. This is my favorite place to purchase makeup for a reason! There is always a crazy amount of staff here so you aren't waiting around like at other makeup counters, and the way they handle problems really impressed me. read more

All I needed was a lipstick. I had an old one with me. Easy! Right? Not so much. I was standing by the products I needed but didn't see the color. It so happens I was by the makeup station with an associate putting makeup on another customer. A second associate, I was standing RIGHT NEXT TO, was to busy playing with the first customers baby to ask me if I needed any assistance. So I walked around the store looking for another associate. Could not find one, so off I went back to my original spot. Right by my product and right next to the associate. Still she didn't look up at me, still chatting and playing with the baby. Finally I say "excuse me, do you work here". That did get her attention and she finally located my product. So off I go to the checkout. I was the second person in line. I waited 10, TEN minutes to pay for my product. The checkout guy was very nice and thanked me for my patience. The original sales girl was STILL playing with the baby. Maybe they only have one register open. Maybe only one person is allowed to check people out. I don't know. But I think ten minutes is a long time to wait to pay for my purchase. I wanted to just put it back and leave. It was a present and I had no other choice but to purchase the product there. I won't go out of my way again to go to this location. I assumed this location being in the downtown mall, the level of service would be much better. read more

Pretty sad i come in here a lot, i love makeup and pretty much have one of everything at home. After a couple times coming in i have to stay it has been an amazing visit every time. the staff is very friendly and helpful all the time. If i come in spending a lot i expect to have my questions answered and have the product tested before i purchase so, my expectations have been met all the time. You can easily spend 100 or more so what i expect is good service and the staff be knowledgeable of the products. I have not been dissapointed once and love coming in to see what is new. read more

My daughter had a dance competition and I wanted to do something special for her. I took her in to get her first make over ever. I myself use Sephora products and have for years but I'm just now introducing my daughter to make up and facial products. The make up artist we had was a rep from Benefit. She was amazing! I absolutely adore Sephora, however, when I went in this evening my experience was so disappointing! I went into the store with my fiancé and our male friend. Upon entering the store there was an employee who immediately began following us around the store. I did not get her name but she had a short blunt bob with bangs and glasses. As I swatched lipsticks, never did she ask us if we needed help; she just continued to follow us. Once I found the lipstick I wanted I made my purchase. Our cashier was fabulous and extremely nice. His name began with an A (he was tall and blonde). Even after I had purchased my product and was headed towards the door she continued to follow us to the exit of the store. This all made for an extremely uncomfortable shopping experience and I wish the employees new better than to racially profile their customers. read more

These girls are the best! Seriously, the best ran Sephora I've ever been too. I never leave dissatisfied. The manager Mel, is a true professional and knows exactly what she's doing. There is another girl Emily, who I know has 2 other jobs not including working here and she is so young, but so knowledgable of the products! And Kenzie's hair always looks rad, she is hilarious and her eyebrows are perfection. All and all, this is a must to stop by, get your makeup by one of the lovely ladies here, buy some stuff and leave feeling confident! read more

Ordered something online and paid for 3 day shipping. It's holiday season so I wasn't expecting it to be here in 3 days but it's now been 2 WEEKS and customer service was rude and completely unhelpful. I guess it's my mistake for ordering something the beginning of December and expecting it to be here before Christmas... I am now more than happy to buy my make up elsewhere. read more
