I was there with my husband from the very opening of this store at 11:00am. Not one staff member asked if either my husband and I needed help. We went from looking at areas near the front of the store to the back of the store near the perfumes and colognes, no one cared to approach us if we needed any assistance. With as many staff as there were present, (5 staff as we counted) with only 5 customers present (the store just opened) the staff did not care to acknowledge our presence. This is the only time I have ever had this extreme lack of customer service at any sephora. I will not be coming back to this particular store and would rather order online or visit a store located farther than have to experience this again. New policy for Sephora can only return/exchange within 30 days??? Apparently they changed their policy in April 2025. Annoying bc I was a couple days off and the product I bought gave me acne so I don't even want it. How are we suppose to know how the product is if we can't trial it. 30 days is dumb. Not sure what to rate the place. A vendor helped me not the Sephora staff. I like Sephora because it's a one stop shop BUT it's at times it's chaotic, the displays are kind of smudgy and messy but it's cool cuz you can find out about a lot of brands and products you don't know about. My issue is I was totally out of foundation I have somewhere to go later tonight so I dashed to Sephora to pick up a foundation. I chatted with a vendor and loved the product I decided to temporarily ditch my Dior and try something different. Anyways I loved it bought it and drove home. This happened almost three years ago but I'm still feeling pretty bitter about it. Contacted customer service (the day it happened) and recently but no help. Maybe store manager can help or someone will see this and be sympathetic? I had a makeup appointment with Sephora and went into labor that morning. I called as soon as I was feeling better to cancel and they couldn't do anything about it. I'm sorry my child came early and I was supposed to have a photo shoot the day he arrived. Sephora charged me $20 for a no show fee. I have bank statements, text messages, and a birth certificate to prove why I couldn't be physically be there. Do better Sephora with that policy. read more

I went in to Sephora to purchase mascara. I showed the young lady what kind of mascara I had. She informed me that that is sold at a Target. Then she proceeded and walked away.. instead of showing me something compatible to what I was looking for. I had to call her back. When she did show me an item she said that that was compatible. And started to walk away again. When I asked her if she had something a little better than what I was looking for in a mascara. She showed me a high-end one and gave me the whole spill on the cosmetic. She then commented that she showed me the low end that they carried because of what I had showed her that I needed . I ended up buying their high-end mascara only because I was already in there and needed to get out. I will never purchase anything from Sephora again. Stopped into this Sephora to get color matched and to choose a foundation and setting spray. I was helped by two people there and I wish I caught their names! They were very nice and more than happy to help me color match and also they helped me pick out a new setting spray. This Sephora is located on the Second Level and the closest main entrance would either be JC Penny or Forever 21. Sephora also has a point system and birthday system so you can get free goodies! I got the cutest passport holder and it says Oh the Places You Will Glow! Its the cutest thing I have ever seen! I DO NOT recommend this location for makeup application at all. I always make my appointments at least 3 weeks in advance. I get reminders a few days before then I walk in 30 min before my appointment and they tell me no artist is Available until 3-4pm. My appointment was at 1 and I have to leave for my event at 4 so that definitely wasn't an option. They tell me the system let's you book outside their availability, however I believe it's super unprofessional to not at least check your system if you know it's an on-going issue so clients don't come in disappointed like me. read more

When I went to the counter to check out I asked about using it, from the moment I walked up the worker seemed annoyed. She almost yelled at me to put in my number and her whole demeanor was very off putting. I politely asked if I could use my credit and she proceeded to rudely say I didn't have enough insider points to redeem them. I tried to explain that it was not points it was credit and even showed her my screen to prove I wasn't making it up. She raised her voice several times and said she had never seen that in her life. I actually ordered online at Sephora.com but posting my review here. I ordered 3 bottles of my favorite foundation. The Dr.Jarts V7 is the only makeup foundation that is pale enough for my skin. I love love love it! Goes on smooth, has good for you vitamins, and has SPF 30. This is more of a natural looking coverage, and is made for vampires and ghostly looking people like me I joke around and call this my "V juice"... Anyone who has seen the show Trueblood will get my reference to being addicted to "V"...lol I'm addicted to V7! Will continue to order forever and ever. Just wish they sold in stores. Wish I could give no stars................ Beyond DISAPPOINTED! I went in there with a positive & hopeful attitude. I haven't worn makeup in 5+ years & needed to get colored matched as well as a primer. I told the girl these things & that I preferred Bare Minerals because that's something I used before & I loved the brand. She asked about trying a different brand & I was open to it..Took me to that area & had put a dark color on me & asked if I wanted to go lighter ( obviously I'm white & what she put on my face did not match at all ). I turned to my boyfriend & he said the color was too dark, the next color she put on my face was a color even lighter than my skin ‍ ( I would've looked like a ghost at this point ). When I say she put it on my face she literally wiped her tiny brush on my face & I had about 2inches of make up on my cheek. Never did a whole color match thing. She didn't even offer a napkin or wipe so I could wipe the foundation off I had to look for a tissue.....I then went on & asked her about a primer she put it on my hand & then she couldn't remember which one she used.. At this point I was nice & tried making conversation I felt like she didn't want to be there or help me...I put all the items back & took my a** to Macys! Let me tell you I was not disappointed with MACY's. When I went to Macys the girl spent an hour with me. She colored matched me, showed me the primer she recommended ( & applied it too my face ) Super friendly & I didn't feel like she didn't want to help me. I recommend going to MACY'S hands down! I typically try to avoid the Tyler mall Sephora like the plague but I had a break in between my classes and I desperately needed a few things so I had to do it. The reason I don't enjoy coming to this location is because for some reason every time I come in here the girls working are always so rude. I came in this morning and it was the same thing. I'm never greeted, no one approaches me while I'm shopping, and when I get to the register they look so annoyed that they have to ring me up. As far as their products go I do like that they carry all my favourite brands and usually their in stock. I can in today for the tatcha cleansing oil and the caudalie s.o.s thirst quenching serum. I also really like their display for Anastasia. They actually carry their eyeshadows which I know some Sephora's don't carry them yet. read more

I came in today and I was shocked to see employees walk around but doing nothing. No one asked if they could help even after I approached for information. The employees would gather to chat and joke around but certainly not working. No one was working the register. Who does that? You need a compiten manager. It is obvious that no one is in charge. I was given great customer service both by Rebecca and Julianne! Rebecca helped me the night before over the phone on holding some product that I was on the hunt for, I wasn't sure exactly what color I needed and so she placed all that was available to purchase on hold for me so I could choose when I got to the store. The next day Julianne gave me directions and where exactly to park as I told her I was in my lunch break and that I needed to get in and out. This Sephora is seriously the worst to get any assistance at. The employees at this location always seem to be so open to helping. Yes... sometimes you will run into an employee that isn't that friendly, that may walk right past you because you don't look like you will be spending money, and that is plain out rude. But, this is only referring to just one or two of the employees. The rest are very, very friendly. Now on to the good stuff!!! The location of this Sephora is on the second floor towards the Forever 21 wing. This store has quite a bit of product, if they don't have the specific product you are looking for then they will order it for you with free shipping. They have great packaged deals for brands too! Just keep a look out for them. The employees here are soooo friendly. If you have questions about anything, they go to great lengths to answer your questions. If they don't know the answer to your question, they will be honest and grab someone that has more knowledge on the product. They suggest some great products. Without their suggestions, I would probably still be purchasing MAC makeup for the rest of my life (EWW). If you want a sample of a product because you're not sure about it, then ask them for a sample!! They are really generous with the quantities. It's better to try the product and then buy. I have bought ALMOST every sample I was given. So thank you for this! Now this may be a little bit of a different topic. I am going to talk a little bit about the classes they offer at this location. I just recently attended the Flawless Foundation class and had so much fun! I learned some really cool techniques and was advised by the most helpful beauty advisers. I even ventured into different makeup brands that I have never tried before and I LOVE these new products. I was introduced to new foundation applications, new brushes, blushes, primers, etc. Another cool thing is that they used the Color IQ to take a few pictures of my skin and then the device would give me a color IQ that matches my skin. I need cover up for my tattoo at work and I always get it here. I remember the first time I shopped for make-up, I was lost. But the crew saved my time and were super helpful. Three girls helped me out with my tattoo on my leg. It was awkward cause they were all on their knees smashing my leg with shades left and right.... but it was nice to see the team work and they were making me laugh.
