Yankee Candle, of course. The staff greets you, they ask if you need help, they're there if you have a question. Very professional and congenial. The stars of show are the scented candles, diffusers, and candelabras. What I like is that the description on the label is what the candle smells like! No vague or bizarre description that makes no sense. When you open the lid on the jar the aroma envelops your nose and it smells exactly like what on the label. Granted, it's a little more expensive than what you might find in a big box store, or discount place, but you get what you pay for; a quality product at a relatively inexpensive price. Especially when they have it on sale, certain times of the year. There are candle holders and candelabras of various designs; something every taste.

I was greeted by a lovely young woman named Vanessa who proceeded to help me. She was a natural beauty with makeup that enhances her features, and didn't look overly made up, like I sometimes see at make up counters. That scares me away because I prefer my own makeup to be a little more subtle. I told Vanessa and she totally understood what I needed! I explained to her that last year I purchased two shades of their blush that I didn't think were a good color for me so I desperately needed help finding something that didn't make me look like "Mrs Santa Claus" with big rosy cheeks. LOL. Vanessa was great! She pulled out the perfect shade for me and applied it like an expert. I also asked her to show me how the "sculpting/contour" kits work because I can't seem to find my cheekbones anymore! Again, like the expert, she pulled out her magic brush and went to work, explained everything and made suggestions as she went along. If my husband hadn't been outside waiting for to eat, I could have stayed in there all evening! I grabbed two of the products I had come in to look for, including the perfect shade of blush and plan to be back when I have more time.

Plenty of stores to choose from clothes to high-tech products, and of course food. A restaurant called 110 Grill is open and the Village Restaurant Pancake Factory (owned also in Pleasant Valley). Many stores come and go over time, which makes it difficult to find what's needed and for enjoyment. The anchor stores hold a shine to this day except for JCPenney and Sears which closed, bringing some less traffic. New stores have opened recently involving a lot of entertainment activities for kids and young adults, such as the Space Adventure Mini Golf course featuring arcades. With more openings happening, I see the Galleria still being a busy mall in the next several years or so, but the vibe has changed so much compared to the mid-late 20th century.

I'd describe it as a blend of Banana Republic, Express, and Jcrew, with many unique options. I bought a few items on Black Friday weekend, and saved quite a bit. Definitely going to stop in again! The staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Atmosphere was lively, playing good music, while having nice displays and plenty of mirrors. Last, and most importantly, the clothes are great quality, and their fits generally run small. I wear a 42 size jacket, but the slimming cuts forced me to go a size up. Most of the styles are slimming, which is always nice. FYI, this is right near DSW in the mall. Very happy overall.
