I booked a reservation for Mother's Day for my mom and I and we were so pleased with the outcome. We created our own custom scents with the help of Alex. She was warm, inviting and informative. They had a great selection of essential oils to pick from to create your own custom scents. Alex had us smell different scents and jot down a few smells we liked so we can curate candle fragrances. The 8oz candle was $38 and the bigger candle was $50. Everything was included in the price and I definitely think it is worth it. The candle takes 2 hours to set which is perfect because there's plenty to do, explore and eat in Cold Spring NY. It's a fun experience to do with friends, family or solo! Reservations are not required and walk ins are welcomed if they have availability! I will 100% be telling everyone I know about mundane starting with Yelp! Happy scent making :D

I brought the soaps in, grabbed what I wanted to exchange them with, and stood at the register for 5 minutes without any acknowledgment. Then, the manager tells the line of people that they can help them at the other set of registers. So I move over, not having anything to hold the soaps I'm exchanging, and then there is magically a cashier at the original register. So the transaction begins... I bought the online soaps for $6.50 each. The current sale is $3.50 each. Instead of honoring the price and making life easy, I'm told "no we can't do that." I did not have the fight in me to argue further so I'm just taking the issues up with corporate.

I was then told I would have to pay return shipping myself. Their return policy says the customer is responsible--but that's buried in fine print. It's unfair and feels like a way to push responsibility onto the buyer even when the company is at fault. It's also something you want to touch, look at, and determine if that's what you want. There is merchandise that doesn't need to be in stock to be purchased. For example: a bathroom scale. A picture of it with a description: price, dimensions, weight, maximum weight capacity, that's all you need to know, if that's what you want. It's not just Bed Bath & Beyond that's gone this route, all the other stores up here have followed suit.
