I was in their store about a week ago. I was interested in finding a new foundation. I cannot forget how nice and helpful the lady named Ruby was to me. There are so many places you go to today, where customer service isn't a thing anymore. The thing was, the lady who works in the makeup department was on break- so ruby decided she can help me out. She worked at ULTA in other department but she knew what she was doing and i trusted her, seeing how gorgeous her makeup looked on her. The ladies who work in there are always so helpful. They always seem to have the product I'm looking for and the return policy is great. I bought a new primer and after two days realized there was no hope for it. I took it back to Sephora and they gladly exchanged it for something else. Lets not forget to mention their sales for the VIB. They also have a really cool rewards program that allows you to exchange points for trial size items. Omg! I was recommended to have my eyebrows shaped by Selena in Sephora on Friday 11/17/2017. I was told I'd receive a goodie bag after my appointment. Selena was very nice and helpful during my appointment at 3pm. She was so helpful that I even bought a couple items after my brows were finished being shaped. I did not receive a goodie bag either (kind of a saying point to visit the store). Today I woke up and saw my ENTIRE eyebrow area (both sides) we're inflamed wih a tons of pimple like rashes!!! What in the world!!!! I paid $25 to have my face red and full of pimple like rashes! Side note: I have relatively nice skin without any sight of pimples, acne, and rashes prior to my appointment. I was extremely embarrassed to step out side today and frustrated that I sent $70 in the Sephora store!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My wife went into this store and was offered a gift bag and was told that all she had to do was a questionnaire at check out. The employee kept telling her what to press trying to get her not to read anything but my wife caught a glimpse of the screen and it was asking for authorization to apply for a JCPenney credit card. My wife told the employee that she didn't say she agreed to that and the employee just said "have a nice day". PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN SHOPPING HERE AND MAKE SURE YOU READ ALL OF THE SCREENS ON THE PIN PAD. It's December 22nd and I came to buy a gift card for my daughter. Of course I waited in a long line and wasted a huge amount of time of my life. Just to get to the front of line to find out that the gift card that I wanted to purchase here at Sephora JCPenney can only used for the ones that are in JCPenney and not for any other one that is not in JCPenney. That is the worst possible service to let your people stand a huge line and then tell them they the gift card they purchase their is not good for any other Sephora except for the one in JCPenney and all they can say is oh I'm sorry with a fake smile. Yes, of course they don't have as many people working here as a standalone location that's to be expected. If you're unwilling to wait for the employees that ARE working make the drive to Tyler. As for myself, I've always been able to get help here and the staff has been nothing but helpful. Last night I was there at closing time (when lights were dimmed) and an associate was still helping pick the right shade. Later, when I checked out I was happy that she came up to check customers out since an exchange was being done in front of me (I realize that her doing so helps get customers out faster and that in turn helps her out but it's just nice when people display common sense). I walked in and the place was empty and employees nowhere to be seen. I waited for about 5 minutes looking at items. Finally a worker appeared and she looked at me but no greeting. I walked over to her and asked if she could help me with makeup because I'd seen in a magazine that Sephora stores offer help with eye or lip colors, etc. There was a sign right next to me at the mirror that said so. She told me that "that was last month" but she *guessed* she could help me because she didn't have anybody right now. I felt like a piece of refuse, man. Thanks for that. I told her I wanted a very subtle, natural color and lol she pulls out Urban Decay brand gothy colors. As a woman over 35, Urban Decay is not what I consider a good match. I figure she was just using a brand she uses or sells often (to teenyboppers). Anyway, forget this place. I'm not bothering to come again. Who needs the attitude? read more

I went in to return an item I bought online. Tge cashier was helpful and patient as I had to pull up the order from my email bc the shipping recipe that comes in the box does not have the necessary info for a return. She waited as I pulled up the email and was cool about it. Then I looked around to see what wad new. This is a small location and cant support all the items a full size store can. I find they sometimes dont have products I want to get. I remembered I have been in need of a eye concealer and ask one of the ladies for guidance. She was not pushy at and make a few suggestions. We decided on the Sephora brand gel concealer and the first one she picked was a perfect match. The story was busy and there were only 2 ladies working but they had great attitudes and made me feel like a valued customer. I will be shopping there again. read more

I love sephora just not this one. I was in there trying to find exactly what I wanted for over a half hour and not one employee asked if I needed help. I eventually found it after circling the store like 6 times. They just stood around talking to each other and laughing. So annoying. I'll just keep ordering online or just go to the Tyler. I came in very late - 30 min before closing. I went up to a young lady named Jasmin and asked for help. She was very friendly, had a smile on her face, a calm tone and a enthusiastic attitude. She was knowledgeable and on top of her game. Im so happy she helped me. I finally have the products I want. She presented products based on what I like and she told me about all the Sephora promotions. She also showed me skin care products in which I loved. I left home with waayyy more then what I came in for. Great customer service leads to more money towards the business. Got my eyebrows waxed twice in this location and both of my experiences were amazing! I was skeptical at first on how the process would go,seeing that I was new to getting my eyebrows waxed(I used to get them threaded) but Selena did a really great job I just had to come back! The second time I visited the Brow Bar I was helped by Violet( hopefully I spelled it right ) and she did an amazing job! I appreciate how she took her time to help me get the eyebrow shape I wanted. I went in there to exchange my foundation which was way too dark when they color matched me last month . I didn't have receipt so she told me I could exchange and I was perfectly fine with that . They were so rude seems like they didn't want to help me at all. I matches myself and when I realized which color I was they didn't have it . The manager came over and told me if she was me she wouldn't exchange it I'm darker than that !!!! How rude !! This review is about the makeover you get done with a $50 minimum purchase. The reason I give a low rating is for a few reasons. 1) I had to wait 10-15 over my appointment time. I understand that they get just but I had other appointments planned and I wasn't expecting to have yo wait this long. I was late for the other things I had to do. 2) The foundation that the artist used was the the most CAKEY foundation ever. I mean I couldn't tell until I set in my car because the lighting where the makeup is done is not good. I had to go home and take off the foundation. I have NEVER seen my face this CAKEY. It was horrible. The texture that my skin had gave me nightmares. 3) I don't think the brushes she used were clean, I broke out the next day. I woke up with 4 giant pimples on my forehead; the ones that hurt until you pop them. Oh and side note, they don't put on false lashes, eyeliner on the water line or curl your lashes. It's against their policy. That is a bit inconvenient, especially if you don't know how to put on false lashes. The only reason I'm giving the 2 stars is because the makeup artist was nice. read more

I usually do all my Sephora shopping online but I received a gift card for this JcPenney Sephora so I thought I'd stop by and purchase the modern renaissance pallet. I looked in the small store couldn't find it waited for help to be available took about 10 min before I could talk to a worker. She let me know that the pallet was sold out no biggie I already had a feeling it would be because of Christmas but then she tried to sell me the ABH "subculture" pallet which has terrible reviews. I did go in with a bare face so she probably thought I knew nothing about the bad reviews anyway she let me know I could order it online through Sephora JcPenney website so I went online and it says there are still 10 modern renaissance pallets currently available at the location I went to....... so now I'm a little confused and pissed off. I love Sephora and all the different lines of products they have! Such an amazing store. I personally don't use any of their makeup products, but I use a variety of different face washes, moisturizers, and masks. The employees are very nice and the last two times I went in they were very helpful!! I wish I would've gotten their names. But prior to these last two times I was helped, I didn't feel the employees were really helpful. They are busy at times and I get that, but I take what I put on my face very serious and I didn't feel like they cared about what I had to say. Despite those times I can honestly say that these last 2 times were amazing. I didn't even know they gave samples until this last time I went.
