The store has a great selection of makeup, shampoos, conditioners, and fragrances. They will help you with brands and suggest foundation or eye shadow that you can afford. They carry Kiehl's and some more expensive moisturizers. The staff are friendly and will give you a bigger bag if you suggest it. They have been on Greenwich Ave. for several years. I've always had a good experience at this Sephora. It's on the smaller side but usually has what I'm looking for in stock. I always try and seek out Roy when I'm there. He knows his stuff and I've always been happy with his suggestions - for skincare or color! It's a busy store for local teens and tweens on the weekends but they manage it well. read more

I was surprised when going in here because I expected great customer service. When approaching the register, I had been looking at the smaller sized items, so I gestured for the person behind me to go in front of me, so I could continue looking. I received a nice eye roll from one of the younger employees, behind the register. When I was ready, she was the one who rang me up. I asked her a couple of questions, about points/CC, which she rudely responded to. As she put the receipt in the bag, she just pushed the bag over toward me and turned her back to the get the next customer. She did not say a word. I wish I got her name or called over a manager, but I could tell you that I will never be going back in there. You would think with the $$$ Sephora charges, they would make sure that their employees, were approachable. read more

Love coming to this location, just because, it's well kept and super flawless. Items are precisely stocked and nothing is out of place and aisles are super neat. Customer service is top-notch and never a miss here. On one particular day, I was on a quest to look for the right shade of red lipstick, eyeshadow and other goodies to replenish my makeup bag. Out of all Sephora's I've been shopping in, this location on Greenwich Avenue exceeded my expectations! The store is old but very well kept and the staff, very knowledgeable and helpful. I picked up a new foundation and concealer and Roy was spot on with color matching. Debby walked me to the skincare specialist Katie and I was introduced to the best variety of products without feeling overwhelmed as she addressed all my skin's concerns and was very informative and so pleasant to work with. The knowledge these lovely employees have is impressive as it left me very happy. I enjoyed my shopping experience and friendly atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough!!! read more

I would recommend they are mostly always in stock of everything and the workers are really nice but the only thing is the building is very small so it gets very very very crowded and on weekends it's a problem but only on Sundays also I like that since it's small every worker knows the regulars (I am a regular) and everyone is very helpful they really made this Sephora really good read more

I was shopping for a new moisturizer at Sephora in Greenwich and was very pleased with my shopping experience. I initially did my own online research so I had an idea what I wanted. I went in, ready to purchase my one item but of course I ended up with more!!! I was introduced to Katy a lovely skincare specialist who had lots and impressive knowledge, and really encouraged me to expand my skincare routine. I was introduced to retinol and eye cream, something I didn't consider prior to my in store visit. I got my moisturizer and then some!!! I went there today with two of my fiends to buy new skincare and other items. We were in there for about five minutes when this one employee, Katty started to follow us around and on her walkie talkie, told her coworker to keep an eye on the cameras to make sure we didn't steal. Mind you, I had items in my basket and HAD NOT stolen anything. About 30 minutes before they were closing she told us to leave because they were closing, meanwhile she was welcoming other customers at the door. I did not even get to buy the things I was planning on buying because of her. Do not go here if you expect good customer service. read more

I needed to buy a special lipstick and nail color for my sister. She needed a specific kind. I asked in many places, including online and could not find it. Actually many places I visited was like: If we don't have it, why should we help you find it? Like: what's in it for us? And this is not the way to treat people. In Sephora I asked one woman, and she answered that they don't have what I need, but she can help me find it. For 10 minutes she explained to me where and how to get it, even she knew that I will not buy something here. And following her instructions, I found what I was looking for. This is something that worth 5 stars review. I don't know if she is a special person, or this is what Sephora do, but they earned 5 stars rating from me. read more

I just recently shopped at this location & was followed the entire 15 minutes I was there shopping for FENTY Beauty by the manager (DAWN).My coworker & I-who are women of color-were in the aisle browsing the line with all intentions to make a purchase. An associate helped my coworker color match a foundation while I decided on a highlight. DAWN stood at the foot of the aisle staring at us the entire time & proceeded to follow us to the checkout counter till she saw our wallets. Never in my life have I experienced what I went thru. I shopped at this location before as well. Was she expecting me to steal something bc of my skin color? FENTY is geared towards women of color; I am so bothered as a customer & as a WOC. The area is predominantly Caucasian & I'm afraid for future customers of color who might walk into that store looking for FENTY will be profiled as I just was. read more

I walked in and was greeted and helped immediately, by Katelin. She was so helpful helping me find my shades in a new concealer and foundation and a new contour. This would have been five stars, but the cashier was a young girl who took my basket (I didn't know where to put the basket in that location) and asked where to put it, she grabbed it from me and dropped it hard on the floor and had attitude the whole time she was checking me out. I'm a ROUGE member and yet because I don't look rich like other Greenwich residents, the employees are incredibly snobby and rude. I went to return an item and the girl at the cashier was throwing distasteful looks like how DARE I?! One older male associate was sent to help me with a highlighter I was interested in and he acted as if he was wasting his time with me trying to help me find a shade I liked. He barely spent a minute with me, didn't help me decide, and left. If you don't look rich, they won't care about you, simple as that. This Sephora location is the worst. The customer service is abhorrent. After my recent experience I will never shop at this location again. I went to this location today with a friend who was interested in buying some products. She wanted me to help her try some makeup on. So, I picked out some products and began to apply them. After about 7 minutes the store manager came over and informed me that I was not allowed to apply makeup on my friend. She said I had to buy a $50 gift card and have one of the sales associates do the application. I explained that my friend had a $130 gift card and had already had it done by an artist there, but was unhappy with the results. The manager was insistent and completely rude. She went on to say that it was a liability issue and said that we needed to wrap it up and that I, specifically, could no longer try on makeup at that store. I found the whole experience shocking and disgusting. My friend ended up spending over $300 at the store despite the unbelievably rude manger. I have been to many Sephora's and have done the same thing. I have never heard of this policy. I even called corporate to ask what the police was and they were unaware of any such policy. read more

I am a VIB Rouge member and I was treated very poorly and was disrespected by the manager, Dawn, on 3/29/15 in the early afternoon. I had made an appointment for a makeup lesson for my sister in law and was assured that I could transfer my free makeover to her. We had planned to purchase some products after the makeup lesson as well. The makeup artists were very nice and they did a good job and made my sister in law feel comfortable but halfway through the lesson, the manager, Dawn, came up to us and said I could not transfer my makeup lesson to my sister in law and that I had to buy $50 worth of makeup. I politely explained to her that I had called previously and the Sephora associate said there was no problem with transferring my lesson to my sister in law and there would be no obligation to purchase products since I was a VIB Rouge member. Dawn told me I was mistaken and lit into me in front of my sister in law and other customers in the store. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude to me. The rest of the staff was nice but I will never set foot or spend any money in Sephora Greenwich again because of her attitude. She should be fired and I intend to call Sephora corporate to complain. My sister in law and I spent over $150 on makeup products that day so Dawn's rude and obnoxious treatment was totally unnecessary. I have never been so poorly treated in a store in my life. read more

I can't say enough great things about the customer service from this store. My daughter just had a birthday party scavenger hunt. We stopped in Sephora and Debbie was the BEST! She made sure each girl felt special by giving them samples and fun glitter eyeshadow. Amanda, Asma and Marlene helped make the girls up and expedite the process. To the person who is in charge of North American retail at Sephora -- you've got work to do. This "VIB Rouge" patron is not so hot for you right now. The Greenwich Sephora experience has been sliding downhill with every year that passes. My recent visit confirmed this. Service was not good. It was poor. Going to Sephora used to be fun -- what happened? After walking around the store trying to color-match by myself, I had to queue at the POS to request assistance. This was not a busy time of day. There were plenty of SAs hanging out near the Beauty Studio -- none of them with clients -- and most were playing with shadow palettes. They all saw me, made eye contact, and never offered assistance --- they went out of their way to make themselves scarce. No one even acknowledged me. I can say that the woman at the register was professional; at least she paged someone to help me. Still, the fact that someone had to be dragged by their ear to help me is galling. Unfortunately, that "someone" who came to aid me (after much delay) was so distinctly put-upon by having to perform basic SA duties (i.e. press a remote control against my face to Color ID) and so disinterested in providing help/assistance/guidance/perspective that it undermined the entire experience. The person did not take me seriously as a client, rather, just fobbed me off when I asked about similar products from different brands. Perhaps they weren't well-versed in the Sephora's brand offerings? No excuse for him. I do know that I've had better experience at drive-thru windows. Sephora is essentially a wholesaler...but at luxury prices. The treatment I received was distinctly wholesale -- not luxe. read more

I had a horrible experience in this Sephora. I made an appointment of FREE personalized skin consultation in the afternoon. I told a staff I had an appointment and she led me to a perk machine and gave me a skin treatment with a lot of advertisements. She did not tell me the service costs at least $75 purchase in the store until she finished the service. Then I showed them the confirmation text from Sephora, which clearly says the service is free. Several staffs stopped me when I left the store. They made me think that I am blackmailing them. They even said that the service requires purchase on skin care products and the staff was already very kind and let me purchase on other products. They said there were no services free. If you check the Sephora website, you will know that is totally wrong. In the end, the manager saw my message and it turned out to that they gave me wrong service. She said she is going to let it slide this time and I can go. They did not apologize and made me think I owed them. I felt humiliated and wanna share with you this experience. To the racist store manager, Dawn. I am a makeup artist and frequent Sephora on both the east and west coast. My 2 friend asked me if I would go to Sephora with them and help them find good makeup, how to apply it and what works best for them. We went in and Adrian was very helpful and got them both color matched. We were off to the side corner so that we weren't in anyones way. Throughout the 2 hours that we were there, the store manager, Dawn kept circling us and was so rude, looking my friend up and down, giving her disgusted looks and would only talk to me. Finally, she stood behind me and I asked if she needed something. She said, "yes, you have been here too long. We have cameras and you have been here for 2 hours and you need to go. You can make an appointment to come back." She said that I was using the testers and they needed them. She then looked at a lotion in front of me and said like this one. I said you can have it. She said ok good and snatched it from in front of me. She continued to complain and said that I didn't put the stuff that I used back yet. She continued and I told her we were buying all of the product. But since she continued being rude and kicking us out. We went to the Sephora in Stamford, told the manager their and bought the product from that store. I have never dealt with racism to that degree like I did from Dawn. I have tried giving this location SO many chances because I work right on the ave. I know nothing about makeup and have tried going into this store so many times for help/guidance/advice ANYTHING, but in all the times I have come here I can never get ANYONE to help me. Which is funny because I know that if someone took 10 minutes of their time to help I would probably walk out with $200+ worth of products. I totally understand going in at a busy time or having a rush during holiday season, but I have gone here on NUMEROUS different occasions and it's the same deal every time. Once I even begged someone to help me and they said "In a few minutes." Well I didn't have a few minutes because I was on my lunch break. Jessenia Toscano (Jessie) from the Greenwich store is amazing! Earlier this year, my usually cooperative skin became very dry and blotchy (I later realized that it was a reaction from butylene glycol that was in most of my products). I came to Sephora anxiety-ridden b/c I didn't know where to start the healing, and Jessie was there to guide and coach me through the process. She taught me about ingredients, application, and product compatibility across brands - all while keeping in mind the needs of my sensitive skin. Ever since then, I've been coming regularly on Fridays to chat skincare with Jessie, get recommendations, and try new things. I went from being very nervous in trying anything to being a more informed, confident consumer. Jessie, and the rest of the skin care team, have been amazing! After a few unsuccessful attempts at the Stamford store (I live in Stamford), I make the trek to the Greenwich store just to see Jessie and her team. The first time I went to the Stamford store, I asked a sales associate about a product (I believe it was the May Coop Raw Sauce) and he didn't seem knowledgeable or confident about the product. Second time, I asked another associate about a product but she kept on putting things away on the shelf. She said she was multi-tasking, but from a customers point of view, it was poor customer service. Third time, I was more turned off by the space - it's a smaller space than Greenwich but seems to have as much inventory so the space feels very cramped. Add onto it the blasting club-like music and it didn't make much for a pleasant shopping experience. Maybe the Stamford staff is still being trained since the store recently opened...maybe the music is blasting to compete with MAC next door...but when you have a brand like Sephora, customers are expecting a certain level of service. I work in strategy and business development so I understand the difference between working for a brand and working for an experience. I love shopping at the Greenwich store so I've interpreted it in my mind as the "Sephora experience." But experiencing Stamford's sub-par customer service from a lack of product knowledgeability and lack of associate-customer engagement, as well as an overwhelming sensory feel from the cramped space and very loud music, the Greenwich is my go-to location and idealizes for me what a great shopping experience is. One thing I'd love to see more in Sephora store are more bioscience brands and products. I know there are some, but I don't feel like there's enough that cater to sensitive skin or to those looking for green beauty. I've done my research and have found retailers that cater to this niche (Credo in Nolita in NYC, Detox Market, Aurora Beauty), but I'd love to see more of this at Sephora! read more

Ok, I cannot say enough about how great your Greenwich, CT location is. I have been there many times and I have had amazing experiences every single time. Andrene, Maria, and Ron have really stood out for me, as well as a girl that I see at the register every time, but I keep forgetting to get her name (but she has long black hair and wears blue lipstick!!). I have gone their for all types of products and have always left with exactly what I needed. They are very knowledgable and really make me feel like I matter to them as a customer (very different from the White Plains location). I've spent a ton of money at Sephora (very close to Rouge status) and I have never once left the Greenwich store thinking I bought something I wouldn't like or would need to return (again, very different from the White Plains location). I really hope a big wig can see this because I really have never been to a store, any store, where the employees were so amazing. Whoever is seeing this, please point this out to a higher up because these folks deserve the recognition!!! read more

I'm writing this review because I had the most amazing experience here. I was in a crunch for prom and needed to get my makeup done literally the day of. I had no appointment and no idea what look I wanted. However, I was given such amazing service. A man in his late twenties gave me a mini makeover that was really just supposed to be for the eyes, but went above and beyond and did my eyebrows, liner, eyeshadow, and highlighter. I was thrilled with the results. I thought I was finished, and was very appreciative, but when I told the staff it was prom that day I was treated to an additional free foundation makeover by a petite woman with dark hair. I have never been given such attention or care at any other beauty store. The workers were so funny and nice, and because of their kindness my prom was so much fun. You'd never expect anyone to pay attention to teens, as they don't purchase as much as adults. I was not pressured into buying anything, and left with an eyeshadow palette recommended to me by the dark haired woman for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for beauty expertise or makeovers, this Sephora is the place to go. read more
