The manager (I assume that's who she is because she presents as having authority) is always very rude. I have never had a positive interaction with her. During your birthday week you can receive a free brow wax, so I took advantage of that and also got a brow tint (knowing I would have to pay for the extra service). The manager told me several times that only the brow wax was covered and I have to pay for the tint and tip on the whole amount. I already knew all of that and did not appreciate her treating me like that, she was practically berating me. She has such a negative attitude and is so unpleasant to be around. I continue to put up with her though just for Mallory. The atmosphere in the boutique is also uncomfortable sometimes. I only come there for waxing services, although they do carry the full line of Benefit products. I do love Benefit but it is cheaper for me to buy their products at other stores where I can earn rewards or use coupons. But whenever you are there, especially if you are waiting for your appointment, employees will follow you around and push products on you trying to make a sale. After you get waxed they will ask if you want some aloe and I always say no (even though I would like some) because I don't want them to pitch any products. I understand they must have sales goals to meet but it is very off putting. Overall, it is worth it to come here for Mallory.

The theme of the party was Kpop demon hunters and I wanted them to give my daughter a Rumi braid (being that it was a salon, you would think that was an easy ask?). When I finally received a call back, I was never given an answer about the hair. The day of the party, not only were there no extensions (for the birthday girl or anyone else), but the girl doing the hair looked like she's never done hair a day in her life (She even told me she was not a stylist!). She just did a simple braid on my daughter and I was really upset. For some other girls, she put a few curls with a curling iron and did nothing else. I am assuming based on my experience earlier in the week not being able to contact the salon that all the regular stylists were on vacation since the salon was officially closed. Not one of the 3 hosts had any enthusiasm and barely interacted with any of the girls. I had a few parents even say to me that they were very low energy. I think you can imagine how disappointed I was. One of the hosts did simple "face paint" where you could barely recognize what it was she was painting. She also left in the middle of the party - which I thought was very unprofessional. There was also absolutely no structure or flow to the party and everything was free for all. They advertise on the website "Stress-free and all-inclusive celebrations". This party was anything but. I was completely stressed and embarrassed the entire time. My daughter was disappointed about the karaoke. The kids were just grabbing the microphone and making noises. I was very overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. I had to stop the girl from doing hair to play the bingo game that I brought. There was no host-led dancing or other games. The salon had no cake knife or at least something to cut the cake with and the pieces were absolutely butchered. This party was clearly an afterthought and the only nice things about it were what I brought to the salon. It was embarrassing for me as the host and to have other adults notice too. The 3 ladies had no energy and looked like they didn't even want to be there. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I was also ghosted when I tried addressing these issues with the owner.

So many positives: Gigi herself took the booking and was wonderfully warm, helpful and caring. She made sure a makeup artist would be available and called me back to confirm. Everyone at the salon was friendly, kind and attentive. I was using a cane after hip surgery and they were very considerate about my comfort and safety. Apologies in advance if I got some of the names wrong in the next section.... Pedi: Veronica did a great job! Only minor complaint was that pushing back the cuticle was painful---maybe more soaking and cuticle softener needed. Massage chair was great BTW! Brow waxing (Ashley): friendly and very nice, listened carefully to what I wanted, didn't remove too much, very considerate about potential discomfort (it was a breeze!). Brows looked terrific! Makeup (Melissa): absolutely wonderful. Such a nice person as well as knowledgeable, skilled and flexible to adjust to my preferences. She explained every product she was using and what she was doing, gave tips along the way and answered my many questions. I learned a lot, had fun, and the makeup was beautiful! Nails (Diana): what a consummate professional as well as a truly lovely person. She did a meticulous job on my gel manicure --- it turned out great and I kid you not, has not chipped or peeled in three, count 'em, three weeks! In fact, I waited to write my review until today so I could include a 3-week photo! Plus, Diana makes a delicious cinnamon coffee! As a bonus, Gigi's husband Link2Link (his professional name, he's a musician) had a lively and interesting conversation with my husband while he was waiting. I can't say enough good things about Gigi's! Wait, another plus: it's located in the strip mall next to the Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk. Couldn't be more convenient if you're staying there---check it out! Gigi's only opened in September 2021 so I hope they continue to grow their clientele. On day one, they took my "before" photos and flat-out guaranteed that my closed comedones and hyperpigmentation would be totally gone after these three sessions. When I completed my third session, I explicitly told the front desk worker that this was my final appointment and I was done. She nodded and said nothing. She completely hid the fact that there was a hidden "cancellation protocol." To make matters worse, at that final visit, nobody even budged to take my "after" photos to see if there was any actual difference in my skin. I brought it up to both the nurse and the front desk, and they simply did not care. They only care about taking your money, not your results. Because of front desk person's silence, they slapped my card with another massive charge the following month anyway. When I called to get my money back, they promised a manager would call me. I am still waiting on that call. It is a fraudulent and misleading way to treat paying customers. Also, if you are wondering why they have so many good reviews, it is because they coerce you into writing them. On my first visit, they told me I had to leave a positive review right there at the front desk in order to get the free hyaluronic acid sample needed for my post-treatment aftercare.
