Every time I go to this location, I never get asked for help. This is a store that offers many different kinds of make up so a little help/advice would be nice. The only time I get an associates attention is when I open one of the drawers to see the over stock, if I can't find my color on the shelf. Then suddenly oh my god an associate appears.. I am trying to learn more about nicer make-up and face products but I am still pretty lost. But with the help of one of the lovely girls, she pointed me in the right direction. She gave me about 5 different samples. 2 were different foundations that she thought would be good for my combination skin, and 3 different samples of face masks that she also thought would help my dry spots. She was wonderful. Not one time did they bombard us or try to sell us on anything before we took them home to try them. I love that. I was always afraid I would come in to Sephora and that it would feel like walking in to Buckle. Where they just follow you around the store trying to sell you on anything and everything. I also really like that this location is in JP Penny and it's a bit smaller and not as crowded as the one in the mall. I wish I remembered the name of the girl that helped me. I am so bad at that. She was so great. So if you don't mind spending a pretty penny for a pretty face or you just want to try some samples to see if you like them before you make such a big purchase. This is the place to come. I ended up really loving one of the Tart Foundations so I have been back to purchase it and even then they did not try to sell me on more products I didn't need. I'm actually writing this review for the Sephora inside JCPenney's at Arrowhead Mall. I shop at Sephora all the time and I'm a VIB Rouge but today is the first time that I felt the need to write a review. Usually I shop at the Sephora inside JCPenney's because it's less busy and I can get what I need and get out. Since it's summer my skin tone has changed and I needed to get a darker foundation but I actually dreaded having to ask someone to match me up because usually the girls are not very friendly or helpful to be honest. VANESSA was more than willing to help me. I usually wear NARS but unfortunately they didn't have the color I needed so she recommended Too Faced Born This Way and matched me up perfectly. She even helped me pick out a different concealer. Vanessa was super helpful! Anyone that needs help, look for the girl with the pink hair! read more

Tried to write a review on the Sephora site but its down...but this store was the best Sephora I have been in no doubt. First of all everyone in there was very helpful, patient, and caring DESPITE the line out the door due to their crazy discounts. Now Ally was literally the sweetest and most amazing person ever. So if you spent over $75 (which was way too easy) you got a free facial. I took the offer since there was only one person in front of me and Ally was the one giving the facials! I wanted to tip her so badly but they don't allow it ): she really listened and got products that are gonna be so useful to my skin and I am so excited to start using them. She was extremely charismatic and just had a great, sweet, fun attitude. Not to mention she made my skin feel amazing!! She truly made my day better and was a great girl to talk too. I went in to get a couple free samples for an eye cream I want to try, but don't want to buy until I know if it's something that will work with my skin. I knew exactly what I was looking for because my friend had recommended two different products. I walked up to the product and an employee asked me if I needed help. I asked her if I could a sample of the eye cream and she reluctantly said yes, then turned around and told me "you know the sample is just to see if you don't get an allergic reaction?" I said yes- thinking to myself that's why it's called sample. I then asked her for a sample of the second product I wanted to try and she said yes, however, then handed the product to another lady that said they don't give samples of that product (Dr. Brant needles no more) because it turns into water. Didn't make sense and I knew she was lying because my friend uses that product and decided to buy it after she got a sample at Sephora. I left and didn't want to argue with her. I'm not sure why they seem to be bothered by a customer asking for samples if that's part of their job. Who wants to spend $50-$60 on a product they don't know if they'll like or if it will work for them. read more

This was my 3rd visit to this Sephora Location and if it's not here its a closer Sephora in a Jcpenny where i live. They don't have as much products at that location so I come here when I can. As my boyfriend, nephew, and I were browsing the skin care I noticed an employee lingering and watching us. It didn't bother me at first until I noticed she was just moving products around to look like she was busy. But we continued to walk around and she came next to us and did the same thing again. Shuffling products around the shelf and looking at us with her peripherals. Then she looked at me and I told her, "We're not going to steal anything, we're just browsing." Then she began stuttering, trying to explain herself. I walked off and didn't purchase anything. This is the first time I experienced anything like this. I stopped shopping with Sephora because of how I was treated at this store at Arrowhead Mall. I wanted to try a new foundation and I explained to the lady what I was looking for and she seemed so confused. She told me to try a certain brand a put a little on my face, where I couldn't even see. Tells me to try the starter kit so I bought it. The manager was so rude to me at the register. I came back the next day and returned what I bought because of how rude and horrible my experience in the store was. I couldn't believe it!! Went there with my daughter and her friend, absolutely never going back! I went on a Wednesday afternoon to buy my daughter some makeup for her birthday that day and a certain worker kept asking her if everything was fine about every 2 minutes, I get it but later as my daughter was searching for a certain product a worker from there was literally less than 5 steps away from my daughter talking crap about my daughter to another client. Definitely don't waste your time going to this certain store, I know I will never go back. Very unprofessional and rude. read more

I want to start by saying that I love Sephora stores, but not this particular location at Arrowhead Mall. The 4 foot 2 inch Mexican woman who looks like someone you'd hire to wash your windows is the so called "manager." Unbelievable!!! She is about the most unprofessional manager Sephora could have ever hired. She follows you around like you're a thief and worse than that, she has such an ugly personality. She bosses the younger women around who are under her and they appear to be terrified of her. I absolutely refuse to go in that store when she's there. At first I thought I was imagining things, then I thought that I was the only one she does this to, but I've since learned that she does this to other customers as well and they also hate to go in the store when she's there. Thank goodness there's a new Sephora inside JC Penny. That's where I shop now for the last 11 months. If they don't have what I need, I go to the Fashion Square location. read more

i walked in wearing no makeup,nothing- usually you're not acknowledged without makeup and if youre bummy looking, but nikki helped me out tremendouslyyy with my tinted moisturizer color and was very friendly. she recommended a couple perfumes as well which i received samples for to see which my husband liked on me :) thank you nikki! read more
