I used to go to Macy's back in the day where they would color match you for foundations. Products went away, and others changed their ingredients. Most contain butylene glycol, and for some reason, my body says no! I wanted to find another foundation, but didn't know where to begin as the department stores didn't carry clean brands, and how many would I have to by from other stores trying to find the right color? I waited over 7 years. I found a NYX concealer stick I was using, but they too joined the butylene glycol band wagon. I was so happy visiting Sephora. The Arrowhead location offers more than their Kohl's locations. They will even color match you. They have devices that can look up the ingredients for you. A sweet gal color matched me, and I double-checked the ingredients before my purchase. Then she turned me onto another brand, Haus. I was sold. Loved it. Then I drove home and started feeling ill from the color matching application. The next day, I returned it luckily still unopened. Either way, they have a great return policy with a receipt. I couldn't get any assistance during my second visit as they were too busy. I came back the other day when it was quiet. They save your information with color match in their system. It made it so easy to pick up where we left off. I was able to take home a sample of the product. I wish I knew this service was available sooner. I was able to get color matched and sample the product. Just like back in the day. That sold me, and I was able to fulfill my goal of over 7 years to find a new go-to clean foundation. Yeah!!! Went in with my wife for her birthday to pick up one of the perfumes she's had an eye on for a while and we had the opportunity to meet Moses. He was incredibly knowledgeable towards the different brands and some unique facts with location/flowers used in the different perfumes/cologne. I bought the Haus Labs Foundation by Lady Gaga, but I was very disappointed. The foundation kept cracking on my face, even after trying it with several different primers. Since I'm not a makeup expert, I decided to get some help. Erica was incredibly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable! Her makeup looked flawless. She color-matched me perfectly and shared some great tips. Since I have very oily skin, she recommended the Anastasia foundation and even gave me a few primer samples to try with my new foundation. They even remind you to come pick up your free gift, no purchase necessary. My email reminder also told me that you can get a free 15 min mini makeover, score! On my birthday I happily took my unmake up'd face to the Arrowhead mall and into Sephora for my mini makeup makeover and my free gift. The person that helped me did a great mini makeover and gave me tips for the future. She also educated me about the products she was using. I also learned that you can get a 15 min mini makeover anytime not just on your birthday. They also have other additional services that you can purchase like a facial or full makeup makeover. Due to my time restraints and my family already being annoyed with me about going to the mall before dinner I chose to stick with the mini makeover which was just enough for going out to dinner. The Sephora located at arrowhead mall treated me so bad and embarrassed me in front of other guests Silvia helped me find a foundation the night before she also was the one that was rude that morning I did not open it and didn't try it till the morning only to realize the shade was too dark I didn't bother to put it on went straight to the store to exchange it and the cashier asked if I had used it I told her I pumped it on my hand that's all she proceeded to examine the bottle and then calls someone else over they proceeded to tell me the foundation is water and that "someone put water inside" I told her it couldn't have been me if I only opened it that morning and am now at your store trying to get my correct shade she rudely dumps the product inside the Sephora bag I brought back and tells me this is water and I can't give you money back I told her I don't want my money I just want my correct shade and she did not want to hear me out and said there's nothing I can do but give you the same shade again I told her it was fine because I am not a rude person I don't like to yell or get upset with anyone especially argue I felt so embarrassed and upset because I know nothing about makeup I only wear it for work and to go here and get told I sabotaged a product they had sold me the night before I will never be going back to that location again. After I called my friend who had also gone with me the night before because I was so upset she said she also had a bad experience when trying to exchange a concealer that was the wrong shade she said they treated her like she was trying to steal from them and get her money back. All I have to say is if I could not afford a $50 foundation I wouldn't be shopping there. If I could give no star, I would! I was hounded like a dog today by the assistant manager with neon pink and white hair. I already had my mask on and he started to follow me around the Arrowhead Sephora store! I felt harassed because he was hounding me like a dog around the store and spoke to me in a harassing manner! After the second time of him rudely commanding me to put my mask on higher closer to my eyes I demanded to speak to the store head Manager. When I spoke to the store head Manager she said that "Corporate as of this past Monday on August 3, 2020 the Corporation of Sephora made it mandatory that the masks be placed up past the nose near the eye socket and that since Sephora is a "small and pop store," they don't have to follow the state mandated laws concerning the mask wearing, therefore the head Manager said, "Anyone who can't wear the masks the way that Sephora wants one to wear it are not allowed in their store, this includes people with medical problems and the handicap." Unbelievable! They have become a discriminating store that is allowing their employees to practice this behavior that is against the Federal laws of our land. Please contact the following department if this happened to you at any Sephora store specially the Arrowhead Mall Sephora. A large, spacious warehouse occupied by at least a half dozen identically dressed employees, separated only by their choice of eye shadow, all programmed to say the same four or five phrases. Great experience today! I am a newbie to the makeup world. In fact, stores like Sephora give me anxiety and usually make me feel completely overwhelmed with all of the options. Hence why my makeup collection is that of a teenage girl. I avoid having to pick out a new shade of foundation like the bubonic plague. Am I M20? R20? C20? P20?! Heck if I know!! My sister has always been ahead of me with the makeup game and is a Rouge member so she came with me today to help me start to revamp my collection. When we first got there we made a game plan on what we'd start with and what my priorities were. Once we did that we found a gal to do a ColoriQ for me. Her name was Calista and she was SO helpful and friendly! I am basically starting from scratch with my products (and my makeup knowledge apparently lol) so she had her work cut out for her, but she was very patient and informative. She really listened, which I think is so important, and didn't just recommend things because they are expensive or popular. We went over foundations, concealers, primers and skincare products! We were there for quite a while so it eventually came time for Calista to go to lunch. She passed me over to a gal named Jocelyn, gave her the low down on where we were and what I needed and she jumped right in! She was also so helpful and friendly! After skincare and makeup we hopped on over to fragrances because I only own $10 knock offs lol. A different gal helped us there and she, too, was so helpful and friendly! My gosh they all were! Haha. It was great. I was only there to get samples so I could start trying out different products so I was impressed at how attentive they are even if you're not buying anything. It can be weird asking for help, especially for free things, but not once did I feel like I was an inconvenience or a waste of time. And not once did I feel pressured or remotely persuaded into buying anything at all. Great service! Got some awesome samples to try out! The location is not convenient, and I am not very fond of the west side of town This is the ONLY store that carries the COMPLETE line of "Make Up For Ever," affectionately known by professionals as MUFE. Make Up For Ever started as a line for professionals only.... and it had none of the small sized products they have today for the everyday consumer. It was all pigments and bases for theatrical use... but the quality was so much better and more innovative than anything on the market that the consumers in France forced into general production by high demand. I love this line so much, I used to make a special trip to Sephora when I was in Las Vegas or New York..... finally one of the Phoenix area stores carries the whole line. read more

I got my makeup done for my birthday and Madison did an amazing job! I didn't have an idea of what I wanted - which can be difficult for makeup artists, but she did a great job of guiding me and making suggestions. Tasha, the manager, helped me with my problem. I had bought a gift card as a birthday present for my sister and mailed it to her. The UPS Store I mailed it to received it, but did not give it to her, and told her they never received it. I believe the UPS Store employees took it. After getting no help or sympathy by the UPS Store, I called the Sephora customer service line to freeze the card. This woman was very understanding, and although she needed a receipt (which I didn't have anymore), she told me to call the store I bought the card from and see if they could help with the receipt. When I called the store, Tasha, instead of filling out forms and emails (that she said probably would've taken too much time before the thief would've used up the card), simply completely replaced the giftcard. She even offered to mail it direct to my sister! Of course, I couldn't have the new card mailed to the box that had already been stolen from, so she said I could pick the card up myself when ever I had the chance. I picked the card up from the store that same day and hugged Tasha for being so wonderful. Thanks to her, I was able to give my little sister her birthday present this year, and move past the horrible, rude thieves at the UPS Store who left me feeling violated. I don't normally give many comments, be it good or bad. But this event requires such. Tasha and her team at the Arrowhead Mall Sephora in Glendale, AZ are nothing but pure gold star employees.
