This is the only location I prefer to shop at, so I always make it a point to go here whenever I'm in the area. I can't remember the gals' name who always helps me, but her family is from Hawaii. Anyway, totally helpful and really helped me out with products that worked for "me" and just what she wanted to try and sell me. I revamped my entire make-up bag and I love my new look! Seriously....., all the other Sephora locations I've been to, the girls were never this nice AND never this helpful. If you live in or around the Burlingame location, definitely get your products here! read more

No matter who helps you this store is worth the drive. The staff is always on point. I have no.clue when it comes to make up and the staff is always honest and full of knowledge.. outstanding customer service!!!! read more

I was stopping by here to stock up on some foundation and found that the staff was really helpful and nice. They were really eager to help me find the right shade and products. Um, the guy there, I believe his name is Henry was super helpful. I'll come back here any time! read more

Smaller location, doesn't have all the different items sephora usually has, but everyone there is friendly :)

I had such a great experience with the one of the sales girls, Dani. She helped me pick out this perfume by Balenciaga that I am now obsessed with. She was spot on with what I liked. She also helped me find some other matte lip glosses which I didn't end up getting but I appreciated her time. Of course Sephora gets crazy business but she took her time and was totally awesome - I will definitely be going back! read more

They are so friendly here. And they have tons of things in stock. I like to drive to this location because they usually have everything I am looking for ! read more

Customer service is so on-point here. I am addicted to the NARS collection. So glad they have a Sephora store close to home!

I work a block away so walking to burlingame ave is very convenient. Walked in here today just to get a new lip gloss. Was immediately greeted by Liz who offered to help me find what I was there for after she saw I had no idea where to start. Took me right over to what I was looking for and explained why it was such a great product. Offered other options and let me look around. After browsing for 10 min I bought the first recommendation by Liz and a mascara. Friendly, efficient, and didn't push any products on me. :) read more

I love it here. I could wonder around for hours. Everyone is super friendly and they want to educate you on the products which is nice. Serena(sp?) showed me how to do a smokey eye for my birthday awhile back and she was awesome at explaining how things should look and what brushes to use. I hope I don't get her in trouble for this but she wasn't pushy on having me buy products which I loved. She used all smashbox and told me she likes to stick with one brand for the smokey eye. Unfortunately my wee ones don't like shopping here (imagine that?) so I can't get in here as much as I would like, but this is a great spot to get your makeup! read more

Went in to get my Laura mercier foundation. They discontinued the one I use. I was devastated. This foundation is the best I ever had and matched my skin tone perfectly. The Sephora makeup artist was a great help. She took her time to help me get the new updated version of my foundation. We tested out the different shades and found the PERFECT one. She was awesome!!!! I love my new foundation. read more

Closest Sephora to my house and they always carry the necessities I need which is great. Some areas in the store aren't always stocked up and it seems samples are missing but the employees at this location are always nice and willing to help you look for something you may need. I always enjoy coming into this location. read more

***CM With Meghan*** I was lucky enough to get Meghan for my custom makeover. She really listened to me about my concerns & dis/likes for certain products. She did my makeup for NYE & my only requirement was she give me full coverage as I have blemishes & pigmentation & boy did she deliver! I let her know I'm not afraid of color & I love the "wow factor" & sparkles. She took that & ran. She took her time & did not rush. I didn't have to touch up all night! I can't say enough good things about Meghan. She was super sweet, very knowledgeable about the products she used on me, answered my questions & addressed my concerns. She is indeed a master in her craft!!! Thank You Meghan! read more

I wish I could give zero stars. On November 28 of 2017, I visited this store because I had just quite smoking and my skin looked so BEAUTIFUL. I needed new products that worked with my new BEAUTIFUL smoke free skin. I allowed the people at this store to touch my face. Since that day I developed a bacterial infection of the soft tissue of my face. I was on a topical medicine at first that made it worse, another antibiotic that that I had a horrible allergic reaction to and finally another antibiotic that I could tolerate. I was on a 6 week course of antibiotics. I had 3 Dr visits. I alerted the manager of this store and I was repeatedly blown off. No one has offered any compensation for any of my Drs appointments, any of my time wasted, nothing for the side effects I had to deal with for 6 weeks of antibiotics. They didn't even offer a gift card. I have never been so disappointed in customer service in my life. Avoid this store. read more

Always have such a wonderful experience here with the staff! I have been to many other Sephora stores, the customer service has never been as good as this locations! read more

It's Sephora -- and even better because of the store staff! It's always a pleasure to walk in the door whether I am rushed or have time to be pampered. The only thing(s) better than the product they carry are the people they are lucky enough to employ! Anastasia has such a handle on the flow of staff and customer service. I don't think I've ever really noticed how on top of things the managers have to be there -- didn't realize how dialed in they truly are-- Anastasia must have had 10 things going on at the same time - directing traffic and not missing a beat while I kept throwing my own questions at her. Anastasia knows product, people and how to make a customer happy. This is the place to spend the $$ you devote to cosmetics -- I have two daughters and one is pretty devoted to products! I have been in twice within a week -- the first time was a power shop with 30 minutes to spare on a Sunday AM before a flight -- Anastasia helped me and my two daughters get it done! Came back in Saturday, thought Anastasia was off and I was lucky -- she there and in control. I decided I needed some guidance and Anastasia grabbed Melisa for me -- lucky -- the place was busy, busy! Melisa Rivas is great -- she took a lot of time, did a great job and I was able to ask her advice on product (fortunately some were what I was already using) and added a few new items. Of course, we will be back for more help from Melisa and to visit the store, check in with Anastasia and take in the Sephora atmosphere! read more

Worse service ever people who work there they just don't care about the costumers I was waiting for help for like 20 minutes me and an other customers and employees just don't care about us so I just leave read more

Went in today and had one 9f the best experiences. I was greeted by Dana who was super helpful with recommending me with an associate who was phenomenal when it came to education around foundation and why my current foundation may not be working (I think her name was Giselle) I've been here a few times and by far my most memorable experience because of how attentive they were read more

I love this store. LOVE It!! I love make-up and love trying all the different colors and brands. The staff is pretty stupid and I would fire half of them if given the chance...Especially the one girl who I won't name that rang up my astringent twice and I didn't realize it until I was home....So I had to go back and get my Visa credited because of her mistake! Not cool. I think that minus the employees this store rocks. So the four stars are for the great products and the fact that you can try on the make up before you buy it. Minus one star because the staff is make-up artist rejects....pretending that their job at Sephora is something worth while....Sorry to be rude, but its true. read more

My opinion about his store has changed, four star, if not drastically to a FIVE-STAR. On one trip, I noticed that the staff was nicer than a number of times that I've been there. Needless to say, I enjoy coming here more often. read more

They have a Great return policy. but the popular items are often out of stock :( it would be nice to see them doing more classes/tutorials

I am only a fan because they stock the items I need. The prices are a bit high but the same as other retailers in the area. The customer service was lacking !!! There are plenty of people there to assist you in the aisles but when I asked for make up application, it took them a while to help. You can get your whole makeup applied that takes about an hour but you have to purchase a $50 gift certificate. I always end up spending at least 100$ each visit ! read more

I just walked into Sephora about 45 minutes before closing expecting a simple walk-through of a foundation and bronzer mix that would look best with my olive skin tone. However, a consultant, Kenya went above and beyond to make my experience PHENOMENAL. She took me by the arm, showed me all different kinds of cleansers for the unevenness in my skin, and essentially made me look SMASHING- and it was a Friday night! Not only did she show me some amazing products but she was so friendly I feel like we could go on a coffee date any time!! I loved the service, products and overall air of this Sephora. Thank you KENYA!!!! read more

I normally shop online for my Sephora make ups. But had to stopped by the store to get a color match. When i came in it was pretty busy. Seems like they were short staff that day. It took me a while to find a staff to helped me. Claudia was awesome. She was with someone but came back to help me even though she was about to be off. She took the time helped me out. If anyone want to learn about skin care make sure to ask for her. She's the reason why I gave 4 stars. read more

The store itself is great, but the customer service is shit 9/10 times. They only show interest in you or pay attention to you if you are older and look like you have the money to spend on a lot of things. I'm 19 and every time I go I spend at least $100 there but because I'm 19 and sometimes I go after school when I don't wear a full face of make up and I don't look old enough to have a good amount of money they dismiss me and don't even bother to help me, they just stare.. like really? I only feel good about the employees when I'm paying, the cashiers are the best part about customer service and because of them I am giving this location 3 stars. Treat everyone EQUALLY. read more

This review is for Claudia in the skincare section. I've been to many Sephoras and Claudia's help has been unparalleled. She went out of her way to make sure we figured out what I needed and was so patient and knowledgeable. I felt bad that I was taking her time but she still handled other customers that needed her help with such grace while coming back to me to make sure we finished. She was really helpful today. Thank you Claudia for staying patient and really caring about each customer! read more

I was in the store this afternoon, browsing through cosmetics, there was a green hair lady approached me and asked if I need help, I told her I am ok. I made around the store and then heading out the door, there was a green hair lady stand by the front door, she asked me if I put the foundation back??? I was shock but I politely told her that's I couldn't choose the right color. She looked at me with a mean eyes and told me to show her where did I put the foundation back???? I was like excuse me!!! What's did you try to say to her???? Are you accusing me of taking stuff? Wtf!!! I was so upset and couldn't even say another word. How dare her !!! My hands was shaking so bad I had to leave the store and calm myself down, I wanted to come back and get her name to file a complaint but she was no where to be found!!! I waited for a while but I didn't see her in the store, I had to go so I left. What's kind of business does Sephora has??? Does it ok for an employee to accuse customer???? This is not acceptable!!! I will definitely write to corporate and file a complaint for harassment!!!! Be aware of this store.!!! read more

I loved this Sephora wonderful customer service. I hardly ever get this kind of service from other sephora stores. The people that work there are very knowledgeable about the different kind of products.i leave the store happy with the wonderful new make-up and the great customer service read more

Agree with the other reviewers before me, know what you want before you go. This is the closest Sephora to me, so I go out of convenience. It's weird, there are always plenty of gals, and sometimes a guy or two, in all black with earpieces who obviously work there. But, when you have a question, they are no where to be found. read more

I stopped in here to look for new lip gloss, and I rememberd why I never shop at Sephora anymore. The testers are messy and unorganized, the workers seem very aloof and everything I was interested in buying was out of stock! This used to be my go-to for cosmetics, but I think I will take my business to somewhere with better service. read more

Like this Sephora store, everyone is friendly and helpful. Every question I had got answered and they know their products and everything associated with their products, including if they are suited for individuals with gluten-intolerance. read more

Other than the convenient location, this store does not have a lot going for them. Every time I go (yes, I go back because of the convenience), there is almost never an employee to be found. I have walked laps around the store and other than getting my steps in, I am never greeted or helped. The lines at the checkout are usually super long too because of broken computers or lack of employees. read more

I really like the merchandise at Sephora and I shop there frequently. I did not feel welcome at the store though. When my friends and I shop there they talk to us as if we are a burden. We are not disruptive. We quietly try on samples and browse and do not give anyone trouble. When I am with friends I feel unwelcome but, when I am with my mom or by myself I am welcome. I will give Sephora 3 stars because the service can be friendly but maybe they service could be more open to teens. After all we are some of their big customers! There are some bad teens who give the good ones a bad reputation and we are judged by that stereotype. read more

I went to this particular Sephora a few months ago when I was on vacation in CA and as I walked into the store, three of the SA's gave me this "you have no business being here" kind of look just because I was dressed in jeans and tanks with hardly any makeup on. I'm not a fricken teenager who has to get dressed just to go to the mall. I want to be comfortable when I go shopping. I gave it 2 stars because of the products but the employees (especially the ones with the"holier than thou" attitude) has got to go. What makes you so special just because you work at Sephora? You're a sales person for fucks sakes! read more

My first review here on yelp. If it's something small I would usually let it go but I'm having a bad day too so here. Today, in the afternoon, I called this place to ask them if they had this product in stock so I wouldn't have to drive an extra five miles there and come out with nothing. When the lady picked up the phone she already sounded annoyed, I don't know why maybe she was having a bad day but hey, that's not my problem right? Don't take it out on me. I went on and asked if they had this item in stock and she straight out tells me "no." So I said "okay, where can I get this item then? Is it only online?" She goes "I think it's only online" and hangs up. She doesn't even have the decency to say "good bye" or "sorry" or "thank you" or whatever. She was very rude and terrible, she shouldn't be anywhere near the phone or a customer. And what do you mean you "think"? Why don't you go and check? Isn't that why I called? I just had a bad experience. Please, teach her some manners. read more

Customer service is horrible!! The only person that acknowledged my presence was Meghan, who was sweet & helpful! 45 minutes of wandering in circles looking for something particular and while several associates breezed by, one even bumping into me, no one even said hello or even nodded or smiled. Not even "excuse me" after the bump....NADA!!! THEN, I'm in line to check out and seeing the 4 people in front of me ALL get a couple to a few free samples and I got none, no offer, no question and not even "hello" or "how are you". What I got was a grin and an immediate, "Was anyone helping you?" I guess I'm invisible! The customer service in this location has always been iffy, but I have to say today solidified my decision to start shopping elsewhere. Train & manage your associates better and NEVER show favoritism in front of other customers! I left there felling so un-important! I've been in retail my whole life and that's one thing you should never do - leave a customer feeling un-important. Horrible!!! read more

purchased a sephora store brand pressed power and the compact broke. i was told by the sales associate that this is a known issue and sephora has since changed the design of the compacts. great! i'd like to exchange the product however was abruptly and rudely told by store director, ariana that an exchange could not occur because the tin part of the compact was showing. her words exactly! baffled and not feeling like this sounded quite right so i called the store in palo alto and spoke to store director, stephanie. i explained the issue and she very politely explained the return policy and stated there was no problem with exchanging or returning the item for store credit. why the difference in customer service depending on the location of the store and what unprofessional "store director" you encounter?!?! based on my experience i may be shopping at ulta more often. screw the thousand+ accumulated BI points; customer service is a BIG DEAL! read more

Holy cow!! I have never been so ignored in my life, and me itching to spend money on make up!! The young salespeople here must really think that just because you have a baby in a stroller and look disheveled that you're not worth the time of day. I came here this past fall wanting to get a new look, and one salesperson wasn't really trying to help me. Then she had another person try to help me, b/c she was off shift. THEN that person directed me to someone else!! What a shame too, b/c I was ready to plunk the $$ down for a "just had a baby and look like I haven't slept much, please help me get my groove back" makeover. The only reason why I'd come here again is because it's less of a hassle than going to the city. but since i discovered the bare escentuals store in Stonestown (with the spend $100 and get $10 off your next purchase card) theres no real need for me to go to sephora much. AND the salespeople there actually take their time with me and acknowledge me when I walk in the door! read more

I came here to look for a perfume and was helped by the head of the perfume department. He was really friendly and not pushy at all. He helped me pick out some scents and explained how it should be worn, what I should be smelling, etc. He was extremely helpful and because of him, I'm giving this store 4 stars. Because I came so late in the night, I decided to sleep on it and come back the next day to pick which perfume I wanted. When I came back the next day, sadly, the guy who was helping me wasn't there. The workers there on that day were actually very unhelpful and seemed unprofessional. A few of them were gathered in an aisle and were basically just talking crap. When I tried to ask about the fragrances, they pointed me in the direction of some scent machine/computer thing. It literally did NOT help at all and it just made the process more frustrating. I think if it weren't for the first guy, I would definitely give this store a way lower rating. I'd just say, if you're coming here, be wary of who helps you. read more
