What can I say! This is the best location we have been to. I'm a Sephora girl, but after this…read morevisit, I may just jump ship and invest my time and money at Blue Mercury Burlingame from now on! My mom has had health issues for year now and has been communicated by the doctor that she needs to start walking or there will be a decline. My parents live on Park St which is only 2 blocks away from the shopping center. So my mom and I decided to start going on walking dates at the center. Who doesn't love that! :) During our walk we decided to go into Blue Mercury because I remember they carried the CE Ferulic by Skinceuticals. Ana was the lovely lady in front who greeted us and immediately asked us what we came in for. After helping me and educating on the Augustins Bader brand she didn't stop there, she assisted my mom. Mind you, we have entered several stores in the center. No one paid any attention to my mom, let alone opened the door for her when she was having trouble entering with her walker. I know! Ana made my mother feel so special. She did her brows, matched her with a foundation, powder and blush. She knew her stuff! And most importantly my mom was so happy and felt beautiful. You could see her light up! Thank you so much Ana! I hope this review gets to you! Your kindness today made not only my day, but my mother's! This was the exact pick me up that she needed to boost her motivation to build her mental and physical health! This experience made my mother daughter date so memorabe. We will be back to see you soon! P.S Aaannnddd she mad sure we left with samples based on our skincare concerns. This also showed she was listening to us and what we needed. :) Below is a picture of Ana and my Mom!

In the past I've been too intimidated to go inside, but I got over it because I saw a sign for the summer sale promotion. The retail space reminds me of Sephora with some overlap of brands carried. The store carries many high end brands including La Mer but you can also find items under $10 e.g. from Patchology. This location also carries products for men, notably the Jack Black line which is not available in the Sephora Burlingame store. Many of the brands had free gifts with purchase at the time of my visit. During my visit, I received the best service from Holiday. She was friendly, answered all my questions, and prepared extra samples. I would definitely come back when Holiday is working!

Sephora at hillsdale has always been my go-to, but I've seen a decline in the past few years…read more Service is so-so. Not a lot of helpful people or not enough people on the floor even. They have a good amount of skin care productsin the back and some hair care products. Dyson products are also found in the back still. But they can't help you with hair. I don't think they even demonstrate how to use it even on themselves. I asked for someone to show me how to use it but they said they couldn't. It wasn't as tidy as it was before either. Lots of unclosed (not trial products) products. Floor was really dirty too. I've never seen Sephora this way in the last years I was coming in.

My sister and I went into Sephora looking for a gift for a friend. The shelf for the product she wanted was completely empty, so we were standing around trying to find an employee to help us. Instead of helping, one male employee kept walking by us, staring at us, and awkwardly lingering around us over and over again. It immediately felt weird and uncomfortable. At one point I got irritated and walked away to look around the store while my sister kept trying to find help. This employee literally followed me across the store and kept switching sides to watch both of us. It got to the point where I finally turned around and asked him if he needed something because he was basically breathing down my neck. His response was 'I haven't even seen all of you,' which made absolutely no sense considering there was literally only ONE person with me. I told him, 'You've seen all of us. There's one person with me. What exactly do you need?' Instead of backing off, he threatened to call his manager over. I told him to do it because all I was asking was for him to stop following us around the store. When the manager came over, I explained that I never even asked him to get her, I was simply asking him to leave us alone because he had been following us while my sister had already spent over 10 minutes trying to find someone for actual help. Suddenly THEN they wanted to help us. The whole situation felt extremely targeted and unnecessary. We came in to shop and instead were made to feel like criminals for existing in the store. Meanwhile, nobody could actually help us with the product we needed until after there was already an issue. I understand stores want to prevent theft, but there's a huge difference between customer service and blatantly profiling customers. Being followed, watched, and treated suspiciously while simply shopping is humiliating and unacceptable. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a Sephora before

I tried to do an exchange at the Macy's in the Serramonte Mall. The sale associate informed us that the return has exceeded the return period by a few days. Therefore we picked 2 pairs to exchange for. The Sketchers was not available in the size required. We could'n't do the exchange since the amount paid didn't meet the requirement of equal or more to be able to do the exchange. He checked and discovered Hillsdale has both pair in the proper sizes. We drove down and Tyler greeted us with a great smile. He was such a great help and made the exchange effortless. He provided us with the perfect customer service. He carried on an engaging conversation while waiting for a manager's override. We left happy with the service provided and would return again just to have Tyler help us. I would like to mention that there was a young lady associate in which she started with the transaction. She had another customer so she turn us over to Tyler. She was awesome as well, very accommodating and helpful. Thank you to both. In this days and ages, it's difficult to find good customer service.
