These girls are so fucking rude to be honest. This is the 2nd time I've had a bad experience here... first of alls I'm minding my business as usual on a random Tuesday, right... so for like the 8th time ANOTHER young lady asks me if I "need help with anything"... but really seeing if I'm stealing!!! The first time a lady ran UP on me like "DO YOU NEED ANY HELP?!?" I said nope I'm good. Weird vibes after that, then another asked, and another and another.!!!! When I tell you, these women were following me all around the store and walking behind me as I was trying to shop mind you I was trying to buy something a few things actually and I felt so insulted the way I was being treated. I literally wanted to flip out, but I didn't and kept minding my business. You can see in one of my videos the blonde girl following me walking behind me, catches me recording then walks to the side... First thing when I walk in, immediately a worker, without asking, told me to sign up for the rewards program. When I said I'm already signed up, they said to sign up again using a different email. When I refused, I just got an attitude and didn't answer my initial question. The line had five people in it, waited for 30 minutes. When I got to the counter, the cashier had no help, and had no clue what to do. Maybe get more help checking items out rather than nagging costumers about making new accounts. read more

Late review but better late than never! This was my first visit to this specific Sephora location since pre shut down. Clearly coming Xmas week was probably a bad move since more folks were in the mall. There was a line into the store in which folks were asked to keep properly distanced from each other. An employee did pas through the line a few times to ask who was on line just for gift cards since she could help process those immediately. I waited about 20 ish minutes, which isn't too bad. As soon as I entered, I was greeted with by someone asking if needed assistance. Why yes- I did! She was able to help match me (skin color) for a few "clean" products. I wandered the store for a bit and noticed they although arrows were quite obvious on the floor, customers weren't really seeing them and/or paying attention. Overall, the process they're following is quite solid..:they are the ones to assist with testers and use single use applicators to extract enough product for a sample. I felt good knowing this was practiced and it also feels a bit more sanitary compared to many many MANY hands using testers. I would certainly come back provided they keep it up. read more

This place is a dream come true for anyone who loves to sample or purchase good quality makeup, perfume, skincare or a gift. It is also good if you want to update and try new makeup companies that came onto the market, or sample fresh new colors, scents, and products. At the BEAUTY STUDIO you can have a professional Sephora makeup artist do a Mini-Makeover ( that means concentrate on 1 specific area, for free.) If you want a custom makeover like I brought my daughter in for then it's "Free " with a $50 purchase. ( I guess they call it "free" because your purchase items totaling $50 and you take it home vs just paying $50 for the makeup application.) They do Mini-Facials for free in select stores. There are One-on Ones- It's a 90 minute customized skincare, fragrance, and beauty makeover for $125 in select stores. Sephora also has beauty classes 60-120 minutes. You can learn the latest looks for free if you belong to the "Beauty Insider." My daughter had a professional photo shoot so I checked in and was assigned to Taylor L at the Beauty Studio. Taylor was very professional. She listened to what my daughter needed to have done, and she took her time to make her really look beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised to see how Taylor brought out my daughter's beautiful features and didn't make her look like a clown. Some other places have done this in the past only to have to go home and completely redo it before the event. Sephora has some new equipment to really help personalize each and every one of our skin colors and types. The first is a MOISTURE METER- it held up to ur skin and lets the Sephora rep know exactly which products in the store are the best for you. The next devise is called the COLOR IQ- it gives the rep a number. Every foundation with this number is matched exactly to your skin color and type. It doesn't matter who the manufacturer is. The newest to arrive will be the DMG- This is a devise which will scan and retain every product, and all makeup used on the skin and digitally record it. This way if you want to purchase a product online there's no second guessing what was bought or suggested in the store. This Sephora store is located in the Bridgewater Mall. There is plenty of free parking, and it's right near Lord n Taylor on level 1. My experience was a good one and I will definitely be returning. read more

I went into Sephora yesterday in the new location in the Bridgewater Mall. Great experience!! Background: I used to always feel so cramped in their last smaller space and it was never conducive to my preferred leisurely style of shopping. So, I would usually just frequent Ulta in Watchung because it is closer to where I live. (That said, Ulta has gone down in my book over the years - IMHO: snobby sales associates, poor salon services.) I also thought Sephora sales associates were a bit on the snobby and pushy side as well -- but NOT as of yesterday. I was greeted by an absolute doll, Claire from Australia. I told her I was looking for a new eye look - something fresh that would make my eyes pop/stand out. She graciously spent a good deal of time demonstrating eyeshadows and liners. We had pleasant conversation. She picked out some gorgeous shades from bare minerals and expertly applied them. She also showed me a new technique for lining my eyes - and yes my brown eyes truly did "pop" afterwards! I will definitely go out of my way to return here again - I can't speak about any of the other sales associates but if they are anything like Claire - I will certainly be a happy makeuper! :) Only one star off - because it is truly pricier - and I'm not convinced yet that all staff are as sweet as she is..... BUT, I will come back and edit in the future after more visits to this new spot in the mall. read more

Sephora is a dangerous place. Sephora will make you spend your money and when you walk out you will be holding a bag that contains your coveted purchases. However this bag will only be the size of an old schooled brown paper lunch bag and cost about $150. And yet, you should go and you should buy the amazing things that people who use makeup need. I am a huge fan of tinted moisturizer and I go faithfully to Sephora for my fix. Sometimes I drag my husband along. He used to protest, but he found a way to amuse himself by reading the names of the products. Some of his personal fave lipstick names right now are "mother pucker" "cat fight" and "backstage bambi". This review is for the beauty bar as I scheduled a custom makeover last month at this location. I showed up five minutes early to my 2:30 appointment and checked in with a worker by the entrance. She escorted me to a seat at the beauty bar and assured me that someone would be right with me. My makeup artist showed up 15 minutes later. As soon as she rushed in, she apologized and explained how she was running late from lunch. After a brief consultation on what look I wanted to go for, she went to fetch a few products she wanted to try on me. I waited another 10 minutes for her to come back with eye products and foundation... After applying, she went off two more times to get more items to finish my CM. I did appreciate her answering all my questions and really taking her time to share her techniques and tips. Although I liked the quality of her work, I've had other CM's done before and none have ever taken this long- I spent almost two hours total that day. I'm glad that I decided to schedule this early enough in the afternoon so I didn't have to rush anywhere after the appointment. Don't think I'll be returning for another makeover here anytime soon. read more

Love the size of this SephorA it's super big! They have everything! I was looking for first aid brand and other Sephora didn't have it available. They had that and many other products to offer. I purchased few hand masks and of course my first aid brand. The only downside to this their card reading machine has glitches and comes out of the holder. Just something to be careful of. This sephora tends to be the best stocked in the area when I am in New Jesery, so when I have to buy from more luxurious brands or niche fragrances, I have to make the drive here to see, test and smell these products in person. I have usually had a good experience in the cosmetics. I am always offered help and I accept it when needed. But this particular review is for my experience in ths fragrance section of the store. It was a saturday afternoon, so as you might have guessed there was a fair number of people checking out fragrances, not just me. The reason I point this out is because the sales associate was a little TOO attentive. She asked if I needed help and I kindly said no thank you, I'm just smelling around for now. I was on the hunt for a spicy oriental, and due to sephoras demographic, I guess they only carry fruity, sweet, floral bombs. As I'm sampling fragrances and discussing with my partner how they smell, the associate stayed no further than a yard away the entire time. She literally followed me around the store the ENTIRE time I was there. It came to a point where I had to stop and ask my partner if he was noticing it too. She was so close to me the entire time, eyeing me so damn hard, that I was too uncomfortable to even ask any questions. I ended up leaving without making a purchase and going to Lord and Taylor instead. As much as I love the process of a fragrance counter and the individual attention, that is the LAST thing I need when I go to a sephora. I am trying to shop freely and request help when needed. Not be stalked the entire time. I will be returning for makeup for sure, but my fragrance purchases will be going to the Lord and Taylor next door. read more

Love the variety they have, I usually go in to grab one or two items but end up grabbing a whole lot. There was one woman by the skincare section, (I should've gotten her name) but she was so friendly. It's always a great time going in, whenever there's the vib sale you should go in and get great deals on items. Came here on my birthday for a custom makeup application (it's free if you spend $50 in product and I had a gift card) and the woman who did it was Mandy. She did a great job. She took the time to explain to me each product she was using & why. She gave me a more dramatic look than I usually wear and really understood what I was going for. I got a most excellent face beat for a wedding by Kate. She was 1. Supremely nice and 2. Very talented. She asked me how I wanted to look, asked questions about my outfit and occasion and went to work. She finished my face in roughly 45 or so minutes and I felt great. I really appreciate that while she offered me the products she used she did do the "hard" sell. I bought what I wanted with no pressure. One thing--I thought I bought the lipstick she used on me, but when I got to my hotel it was the wrong one. Further she didn't list it on the product used list--and now I can't find it. Anyone who frequents sephora probably knows that Sephora doesn't have a reputation of being the friendliest place to shop. Having shopped in many a Sephora, I've never found a location as friendly as this one. I'm a total makeup junkie, and I love to keep up on the latest products and promotions. The employees here were not only helpful, but they also emit the same kind of passion and enthusiasm for makeup that I do. In the future I would go out of my way to shop at this location. read more

I really like this Sephora. I've only been here twice as it is not my local Sephora. I was just there a few days ago and make up artist Kate was amazing. She couldn't have been more helpful. She took the time to put two diff concealers on like I had wanted and then walked around the store with me to help me get whatever other products I needed. Love this location! Usually have what I want except they are lacking a lot of colors for ABH and it doesn't look like they re stock often since everytime I go they are out of the same colors. Other than that, it's easy to find brands there and staff is always there to help. One of the employees who is an expertise in skin care products helped me tremendously one day and I'll continue to come back for that one experience. I love the convenience of this location but there are some issues. First, you do get harassed from the second you enter the store till the second you leave, even if you frequent this location. Most times I get asked at least twice, once per visit, by the same associate if I need help etc and I have to decline again and again. Second issue is that this location is CRAMPED. Good luck shopping here with a bag from another store. You bump into everything. There's no place to move. Third issue is that makeup removing products that USED to be easily available throughout the store are no longer easy to find or accessible. Fourth, this location in particular gets FLOODED by under 16 kids. Mix of boys and girls but mostly young girls who are super loud and stand in the middle of the already cramped aisles. They never buy anything and they move from section to section of the store as paying customers ask them to move. As for the shopping experience, it's okay. This store feels dated and in need of a refit. I can usually find what I'm looking for there but I don't like that you don't get a sample with purchase. If you buy online you get at least 3 samples and you will get a deluxe sample if you spend $25 or more. For the amount of money I spend here I would LOVE to enjoy going to my local shop to do my shopping but it's a SUPER annoying experience with less benefits versus shopping online. read more

So I had a 3:30 makeover appt here and was finally started on at about 4:15 pm. I didn't leave here till 5:30 pm. I left the salon looking like a corpse. I wanted a glammed up glowy/natural look. The make up did not look natural and I ended up going home and wiping all the make up off and doing it myself. The staff kept telling me it looked very different and that the lighting was to blame. I took pics in different lighting... went to my car, went home, and still I looked like a corpse. The foundation and the contouring did not complement my skin tone. I would not go there again to get my make up done. I'll stick to my local Sephora that I normally go to. read more
