Not one single employee stopped to see if I needed anything. I passed by at least 4 employees, all whom were too busy stocking. Maybe their job is specifically to stock, which is fine, but then where were the floor staff? I worked in retail for over 10 years, I understand the importance of making your product look full and constantly checking numbers at the register, but when you have a store full of customers on a Sunday afternoon, they should be interacted within to make those sales better. I'm a bit disappointed because I got the vibe of not being welcomed and felt like I shouldn't be there. Never once had I felt more of an outsider at an Ulta. Maybe it's just me overreacting or being paranoid or something about this day, but I'd hesitate to come back to this location. read more

If you are an ulta shopper, buyer beware! The policies have now changed. No rewards account or no receipt means no accommodation. Need to exchange a gift or get a store credit toward something else, not happening! Even if the SKU matches their store and it's a current top selling item. Your child has an allergy and is unable to use the product, I guess that falls under the category of "too bad". In this day and age with failing business I cannot believe this is how they choose to operate. They will no longer get my business. Shame on them! read more

I really like that this store has a nice mix of high end and more affordable products, however, some of the staff (more the older ones than the college age kids) are very snooty. I was there with my mom on mother's day, and we were shopping in the more affordable section on the left side of the store. We had to hunt down someone who worked there for a price check on an item and she seemed to have an attitude like we were an inconvenience or a waste of time. When I asked her if I could ask her about a product while she was here, she very quickly said "no sorry, I'm with a customer" and wouldn't even let me finish my sentence before she ran off to the expensive end of the store. And get this, there wasn't even a customer waiting for her over there! She stood in the corner talking to another employee until she saw someone walk in and float to the fancy section. Basically, unless you are buying an $80 + cream or foundation, nobody seems to think that you are good enough to help or even be friendly towards. That sales associate made us feel like trash on mothers day of all days! Excuse me for being low income but still wanting to treat my mom and myself to a little something. Instead of your generic "We will continue to improve our processes and hope your next experience at Ulta Beauty will be a positive one!" How about actually addressing this problem with the staff so that customers will not continue to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome? read more

I was browsing hair salons in the area and ended up picking ulta because I liked that their prices were transparent when you sign up for an appointment. However, Ulta is sneaky in the way they set up the costs. Once I was already in the chair and having my hair done was I aware that there is an extra charge for olaplex, which is pretty important to protect the hair for a hair treatment. I appreciated being asked and told this was extra. However, when I went to pay, I was charged for a haircut as well when I had only signed up for a hair dye. The stylist was nice enough and the hair dye was decent, but being charged unknowingly for a haircut when she only snipped off once in the front of the hair and some split ends, I felt jipped. Originally I thought she was just being very thorough and i was going to tip her more... If I had known she was going to charge, I would've either asked her to cut more hair to a haircut I actually wanted, or asked her to refrain at all so I can cut off my own split ends. It was a disappointing experience that could've been improved with clear communication. read more

I don't know but this location feels very unwelcoming. I feel like I was racially profiled. My sister and I are loyal customers to Ulta and today just felt like we were being watched. I don't know if it's normal to have the staff circle around customers and asks them if they needed help 5 times. But it was definitely a very off putting experience. (Benefit Brow bar review only) I scheduled my appointment with Gina. She was friendly and easy to talk to. She shaped and mapped my brows so I know what they will look like before she begins. She cleaned up my brow area with wax, trimmed them, tweezed a few strays and filled in my sparse areas with pencil. I loved how she really listened and worked with your style. Since I'm a brow newbie I wanted to stay as natural as possible but still look neat and shapely. She did exactly that and showed me how to use the pencil. I was very happy with the service. I was a little disappointed I couldn't use the coupon for their products since they are under the "prestige" side. One easy way to determine what brand is or not prestige is when you walk in everything on the right side is and everything on the left side is not. Get: a hair cut from Whitney, Master Designer! This is the new Ulta that opened up at Chimney Rock. Everything is very new and clean! When you walk in you are greeted promptly and the people working there are really helpful. I went there over the weekend to get a haircut..I have super long hair and my locks were screaming for a trim. Whitney was my stylist and she was amazing! I always get nervous trying a new salon but I could tell she was a pro! She was cheerful and talkative. We found out our puppies go to the same dog park. I wanted to pick the length up, layer and frame the front and get side swept bangs. She really delivered and even told me what she was doing so that if I traveled (which I often do for work) and visited another salon, I could tell another salon stylist what to do. My haircut came out awesome so I know where I'll head next time I need a cut/trim. Another huge perk of using Ulta is that it counts towards your Ulta rewards points. This is the only store that made me feel like I'm a thief or about to steal some products. Two ladies gave us dirty looks assuming we were already stealing something. The first lady was walking around hair tools. She had orange hair, she didn't offer amy help. The second one was Asian, she offered some help, but gave us a dirty look right after. I think the Asian lady was in management position and she should know more better how to handle and give excellent customer service, but instead she's being a judgmental how we dress up. I've been in retail industry for 3 years and 9 months. being a cashier for 2 months got promoted for a supervisor right after and been an Operation Manager for 1 and 9 months. This Store never been the same the first time I came there. The management should have proper training when it come with their services. Its not about making your goals but making sure all your customers are welcome and getting a service even if you already from the very beginnin. you guys should have undercover district manager or regional manager to see how it looks like read more

(Customer service review) Today I received some of the poorest service from ulta. I am a loyal platinum member and was making a necessary purchase with gift cards I received from Christmas. The cashier Kayla scratched the pin on the back of the card off using a razor which scratched off the middle numbers of our code making it unreadable. After this happened they started to inform me that there was nothing they could do to void the code which resulted in them calling customers service. I waited at the register for 45 minutes while they sat on hold with customer service coming with absolutely no outcome to solve the problem. After an hour of waiting they ended up just taking the cards amount and taking it off the total and voiding the card which should have been done in the first place. But we were told this was no a possible option. This was a huge inconvenience and took up way more time then any other routine trip. Very disappointed and there was no compensation for the problems that was caused by a employee mistake. read more

Beauty salon is the worst- second time they messed up my apt. I had an appointment today (confirmed by text multiple times over the week and even today as well) and when I arrive they have no record of it (I had it on my phone!) and the person I had the appointment with had left over a week ago and no one bothered to call and tell me. The only option was for me to use a different stylist an hour and a half later. They didn't offer to cover the appointment which they should have given the inconvenience of me now waiting over an hour and being put with a stylist I don't even know and when I pressed them they offered a mere 8 dollar discount for all of the inconvenience. I said that wasn't enough and left. They didn't even care. Just the worst: I will never return. read more

Every time I come in here the experience gets worse and worse. I have been walking around be store for 15 Minutes waiting for an associate to come up and ask me if I need help and assist me with a color match. The employees are all stocking shelves and having conversations about their weekends so I decided to sit down in a makeup chair and write this review to see how long it takes for someone to acknowledge me. The last time I came in the manager yelled at the employees in front of paying customers and was extremely nasty to them. I looked at the poor girl and said is that your boss? She said yep. I reply telling her that was very unprofessional.. FYI I'm still sitting in the chair waiting to be acknowledged ... still have not been approached by one single employee .. and to think I was going to spend my hard earned money in this place ? Finally an Ulta that is clean, well organized and has polite employees. I hope it's not just that honeymoon phase since this is a new location, but I haven't had a bad experience yet and I've been stopping by regularly. The layout makes sense and is very easy to browse and walk around. I never have waited a long time to check out. Everything I have ever wanted to buy has been well stocked (with the exception of one shampoo but it was just launched, on sale, and brand new). The store is well lit and easy to shop in. Most things are visibly priced. I don't get harassed by staff but if I do have a question I don't feel intimidated asking them for help. I do like to visit even if it's just to see what is new. There is plenty of parking and this location does have the salon and day spa for skin treatments. I love the exclusive Hask hair care line "unowned" which is exclusive to Ulta. It has changed my hair! And smells good :) read more

I have now had two haircuts with Kelly and these are the best haircuts I have ever received (and I have been to many "fancy" salons in the past)! Kelly is super knowledgeable about all things hair. After letting her know how I wanted my hair cut (I'm trying to grow it out), she took the time to really examine my hair before making her suggestions on the techniques she would use to cut it. Normally my hair begins to look chunky on one side a few weeks after I get a haircut, but three months later my hair was still looking great even if I didn't style it because she layered and thinned it out so well! At my second cut with her today, she even took extra time while conditioning my hair and scalp because my scalp was so dry. I don't dye my hair, but my mom does, and she has been going to Kelly as well and loves her hair color! I highly recommend Kelly for her fantastic service and incredible hair styling skills! read more
