I really value the time Jenny takes to communicate and explain what I can expect and what my options are based on my history and goals. I have always wanted lighter hair but was always afraid of the potential damage of this process. Thankfully, Jenny always prioritized my hair health! It took us 3 sessions to get to my current goal of VERY light blonde and through it all, Jenny did what was needed to keep my hair long and strong. It felt easy to trust Jenny with my hair as she explained everything to me along the way. She's also very open to feedback so I was very comfortable letting her know when my color goals changed. She was very flexible and got me to my new goals. I absolutely love my new hair; there's so much depth and the colors of my hair blend so smoothly. I also really appreciate how seriously the salon takes COVID-19 protocols. They do not permit walk-ins and do not double book so there is never anyone waiting for a session in the salon. The chairs are well spaced out and they seem to plan it so that not all the chairs are occupied to maintain more than adequate social distancing. At arrival, customer temps are taken and we're instructed to wash our hands before taking a seat. Each chair is immediately wiped down after each service and masks are required while in the salon. I think it's great that they do everything they can to make the customers feel safe.

I have experienced severe loss of curl pattern and elasticity, excessive breakage, and a brittle, straw-like texture that did not exist prior to this service. The haircut is no longer wearable due to the damage and never able to enjoy the color service since it was defective, not only 4 shades darker then discussed/referenced but permanently damaged. Despite multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly and privately, the owner/stylist has not responded, acknowledged the issue, or offered any remedy. Due to the ongoing damage and lack of professional accountability, I have submitted a formal complaint to the New Jersey Board of Cosmetology for review. this has cost me about $800 between the defective services, permanent hair damage and restorative professional products. I am sharing this update so others can make informed decisions.

And I do not like to switch stylist unless the person is not consistent with his or her work, developed an attitude or just do not get my hair type after three trials. With Ken, one visit and I know he is a professional. I had a mid length bob when I first met Ken then I decided to change my hair style to short. Ken manages both styles beautifully. Ken has great time management. I never have to wait for more than 5 minutes from my scheduled appointment. He does not rush from one client to another. He takes his time when working on my hair and he is particular that I look my best more than I do, because I will be walking around with his work of art! I have been receiving compliments from friends and strangers ever since Ken become my hair stylist. Oh did I mention the charges? They are so reasonable it is hard to beat. I am so glad I found Ken!

They send out a reminder text the day before. Day of my appointment, I checked in and his assistant washed my hair and Ken got right to my cut. He listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut and blow out. I was in and out very quickly. I have very thin hair and not a lot of it and he did a really good job. He definitely is knowledgeable on thin, straight, Asian hair. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
