Man, there is some good Mexican food in this town. LOVE the salsa here. The menu is traditional, offering a wide variety of dishes. Chicken mole was just a touch sweeter than I like, but I still found it delicious. The service was quick and very, very friendly. There's a large, separate bar area that provides a bit of a sports-bar feeling. Helpful when you don't feel like being around kids. We'll be back. read more

By far the best traditional Mexican food I have ever had the honor of eating. The service is amazing and the place has a small town family vibe. I was talked into going there with a young lady whom I love and adore and now it's the only place I will go when I am craving Mexican food. I would recommend this place to everyone, but don't all come at once. It is smaller than most of its competitors, if you can even call them competition, but either way, I'd be in my feelings if there was not a table for me when I arrived. It's so good though, I would gladly stand outside in the rain and wait for a table. I'm telling you, the food they serve here is not your typical restaurant quality you'd expect at Azteca. The food here is more like what you would eat at your friend's grandmother's house. Each dish is prepared as if it is for family. Had a really nice meal here with a co-worker while visiting Everett. I think he or I googled a place close by or he knew of it prior. It was a grey June day, early evening. They seemed open but parking lot was pretty sparse. We walked in through restaurant into lounge. No one in sight. We sat at bar counter for awhile. I really wanted to give this place a shot. So, I did eventually get up from my bar stool and peeked around the corner. There was a guy near the hostess booth, he was on the phone, he politely waved, acknowledging my presence. I sat back down and out came this small, sweet server. She instantly greeted us and gave us menus. I ordered a Dos Equis Ambar and my teammate ordered a similar beer in this huge mug. I had a couple of beef tacos, the typical americanized rice, refried beans,the meal was really delish. I was just away in Arizona and had a similar meal. This was equally good. They provided chips, too and a few different salsas. Later the owner came out and chatted to us. Some other dudes showed up to, enjoying beers at the bar. This Burrito was DELICIOUS! Wife's tacos were very good, but got a bit soggy. Beans were a little bland. They do have an awesome salsa bar, that I do recommend as well! Love this place. The food is excellent- I really love their spicy green salsa, and their meat is of a perceptibly high quality. Their California burrito is really good as well, and as odd as it sounds I love their salads because the produce is quite fresh. The thing that really sets them apart is their service though. I've literally never not had an amazing experience when I go in there, whether it be for take out or dine in. It sounds trite but they really do treat you like family. My wife and I stopped in for takeout one time and they were so warm and welcoming that we just decided to stay and eat it there. Good service, good chips and salsa. Great start. My only complaint was that I asked if the taco shells were fried in the kitchen or out of a box. She said they were made there, but they're Taco Bell style. Not like what mom made.... I ordered a combo plate. The taco was okay, the chicken enchilada good, and tamale above average for a restaurant. It had lots of masa and little meat, but the masa was flavorful and it had enchilada sauce, so I approve. The food is pretty darn good, and the service is out of this world. Nice menu with a lot of choices. Order and the food comes out quickly. No complaints about the food or service and that is worth 5 stars. Now the drinks? On the super weak side. I got the giant mega margarita with 5 shots, and I'm a teeny girl. We Came for their dollar tacos and drink special. We called ahead to make sure they were still doing the special as our other place was not for the summer. They said yes and when we arrived the parking lot was empty. Wasn't sure if they were even open. Went inside there wasn't a single customer. Sat down thinking maybe we were early for the evening rush. My fiancé and my son ordered a coke I ordered a water. She brought us 3 cokes and one water. That would have been fine but then we went to order our dollar tacos and she let us know sorry that's a bar special only. We let he know we called ahead and she just said sorry I forget. Well can't take my son to the bar. So we opted to not dine there and asked if we could pay for the drink to be courteous since they were no other customers. She brought us back a tab for $8.56. Im not even joking. Anyway, we gave her the $9 and made my family sit there to drink there coke. As I'm not spending $3 a coke to waste it. I am really upset and was on the verge of tears in the restaurant that people could be such a scam to a family that wanted to invest in them. read more

Loved this place! I kept driving by and never stopping but decided to finally check it out. We started with chips and bean dip then loaded up on all the salsas from the salsa bar. Everything had great flavor, although the mild salsa almost tasted like marinara sauce to me. I ordered the Mexico City Street Tacos. The meat was perfect! I was expecting shredded but it wasn't. Very flavorful. The tortillas were a touch crispy, just perfect! The soup that came with the tacos was very tasty. Pinto beans, pico de gallo, cilantro, the perfect combo. Came in on a Saturday afternoon, and the place was pretty much almost empty. I was seated right away, and was served a basket of chips and a bowl of beans. If the first 2 minutes sets the tone for the rest of the meal, then I'm a happy camper! Chips and Beans: Thin, crispy and hot chips accompanied with warm beans that are blended smooth and flavorful. Easily the best thing of the entire meal. California burrito: It was ok, and I've had better. Definitely not a true Cali burrito. The burrito had cooked potatoes, carne asada, a weird cheese sauce, and was extremely hot (like nuked in the microwave hot). The whole burrito had an odd sour taste that I could not pin point.
