I can now breathe, I can now sleep at night, knowing my 96 year old mother is safe and happy for the rest of her life, THANKS to this incredible team. My husband and I moved to Laguna Woods from Los Angeles 11 years ago to buy a condo next door to my mother (85 then) to help her. After several years it became clear that she needed even more than we could supply to keep her safe and healthy; her advancing age was seriously compromising her mentally and physically each year into her 90's, including blindness last year. AL and Memorycare were wonderful, but eventually not affordable, and also not able to handle her serious declining healthcare needs in-house. As I sought solutions for my mom, it was my GREAT fortune to be recommended to John Menzies Clark (Pathfinder4Care) by very credible sources. He came to our house (free consultation to evaluate your individual situation and needs) and I remember that when he said he could take our case, I felt this huge weight being lifted from me. This excellent Team provided all the help and resources with the very detailed paperwork forms as well as their knowledge for the many types of senior residences as it related to my Mother's needs in every category. (I managed Internal Medicine and Nephrology offices in LA for years, yet I need their help, expertise and personal knowledge of the local Asst Living, MemoryCare, Nursing Homes, Board and Care residences which we toured with him.) At age 96 she is now settled into a wonderful skilled nursing facility a mile from me, she is happy, they are taking very good care of her, and none of this would have been possible without John, Shawn, Christy and their many years of experience and relationships. I eagerly recommend them to anybody I meet who is facing this difficult situation of "what is going to happen when ....", or other precarious situations as well. They have many fields of expertise to cover all elderly challenges for families. I share my good fortune all the time by recommending Pathfinder so that I can spare others the heavy, worrisome weight that they bear ... like I did (but not anymore - whew). Pathfinder has come through for them, too! Meeting John that day ranks right up there as one of the VERY best days of my life, and I'm grateful beyond measure. I know my mom is too!

Even as a long-tenured nurse, I felt completely unprepared trying to navigate my own elders' care. I first met William when I needed guidance during my father's journey with Alzheimer's, and now, as we support my nonagenarian in-laws, he continues to be an invaluable resource. William has an exceptional network of high-quality referrals -- from durable medical equipment and in-home medical providers to a wide range of care facilities -- and he knows exactly how and when to connect you with the right help. More importantly, he helps you understand the process and makes an overwhelming situation feel manageable. I'm beyond grateful to have his expertise and steady guidance through what can truly feel like a rollercoaster. Any family navigating aging or memory care would be fortunate to have him in their corner.

During one of the most difficult times of our lives, William was a constant source of knowledge, reassurance, and strength. I am forever grateful for William and the role he played in my father's care and in supporting our entire family. We could not have asked for a more devoted, kind, and trustworthy geriatric consultant. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who needs guidance and genuine care for their loved one.

I'm finally getting around to writing this review…read more Dwight is absolutely amazing!!! In early February we were looking for care for my dad. I called Dwight at 7:30 to leave a message. He actually picked up the phone. He talked with me for about 40 minutes, explaining all the services he offers and how it would look helping my dad (and mom). He knows his stuff! Very compassionate. Knowledgeable. Caring. There are a lot of things to consider when hiring a caregiver. Legalities. Regulations. Matching a caregiver with a client. So much more. Dwight explained it all so clearly. Big one: If you have a long-term healthcare insurance policy, make sure to check the waiting period. My mom hadn't looked at the policy in years, and sure enough there was a waiting period. His advice on activating it was on point. He met with my mom and I within a week of first talking on the phone. He re-explained to my mom all the services he offers. She was able to use him for only a week....my dad returned to the hospital. And never returned home. Dwight was so supportive. Would not hesitate to call Dwight.

So far, I've had the privilege and honor of working with 2 caregivers employed at MP Home Care who were assigned to 2 separate clients. I was their clients' visiting nurse and 1 of the 2 clients had Caregiver C.F. (for privacy purposes initials used) and the other client had Meagan Parker, founder and owner of MP Home Care, as their caregiver. I've had first hand experience in observing both caregivers assist in our clients' daily needs such as bathing, transferring, and completing hygiene tasks, meal prep and offering companionship. That's a lot! You may want to check in with MP Home Care as they may offer more services. For people who are totally or mostly homebound, it is important to have someone care for them who treats them as a person wholly, one who can offer friendship and comfort in times of difficulty. Some have weaknesses and or illnesses that prevent them from being able to carry out simple tasks like brushing their teeth. You need someone who understands their needs at the same time who will help accomplish these activities of daily living for them but within their scope of practice as caregivers. Both C.F. and Meagan are excellent communicators, reporting any changes seen in their clients to their loved ones or responsible party as well as to any medical professional(s) who may be assigned to their clients. They advocate and are a voice for their clients. The MP Home Care staffs' approach to people in general is shown with dignity, positivity, kindness ,and with an encouraging attitude. I've heard feedback on numerous occasions from clients and family members of their satisfaction and contentment with MP Home Care's services. The care and skill they will provide for you or your loved one will be life changing. MP Home Care is highly redommended!

In the beginning, we have tried numerous caregivers. We started with 24/7 then cut back to only 12 hours once my husband was feeling better. Then back again for 24/7 as my husband's condition got worst. Some caregivers were very awesome and caring but some are bad such as sleeping on their job, showing up late, or just doesn't do anything unless you tell them to. We were fortunately to encounter some great ones who took great care of my husband until his final days. There are few things you need to be aware of: 1) Make sure you keep track the dates and times that the caregiver is present for your loved ones. I had a few days when there was no caregiver and still get charged for it. Or, I get charged double for the same shift. 2) Don't depend fully on the caregiver. They are like us, they might call in sick or have car problems. Make sure you have a back up plan and be ready to take the shift yourself. We had a hard time especially around holidays, when no caregiver would take the shift or cancel on us at the last minute. 3) Make sure your care plan is very clear as there's a potential someone new caring for your loved one everyday. 4) They are non-medical caregiver, so make sure you plan out the pills in an organizer so they can dispense and just let your loved one take the med. Overall despite some hiccups, some of the caregivers took great care of my husband until his final days and we are very grateful to them. It's a tough job mentally and emotionally. I applaud their bravery for taking such hard job.
