Unfortunately I never received a response. What makes this even more concerning is that they serve elderly individuals, people with disabilities, and families who are already under tremendous stress and relying on these services for support. They present themselves as compassionate and caring, but that has not been my experience. Specifically, their communication to the parties involved (Assisted Living, the attending physician, and me) was vague, ambiguous, inconsistent, and confusing at a time when job descriptions should be crystal clear. It is Care Choices' responsibility to coordinate care and especially to make sure that "their" patient is being properly attended to. Hospice services are not just to provide a hospital-style bed and a wheelchair. As a direct result of Care Choices' lack of clarity, the Hospice service was waiting for the attending physician to treat, the attending physician was waiting for Hospice to treat, and the family was waiting for the patient to receive necessary care on a prompt basis. As it was, the patient's care was overly delayed, which caused the patient medical distress and the family members completely unnecessary emotional distress.

CUSTOMER service is unhelpful, and the ONLY thing they seem to be trained to do is to say: "I apologize for the trouble" but sadly the phone representatives have zero training on how to resolve issues OR don't care about customers calling with questions/concerns. My Mom kept getting calls on a bill that was paid the same day she got a notification that a balance was due for the insurance copay. As soon as my Mom got the notification she paid it, but somehow because of "different systems" 1 of the billing system is showing balance due and the other system is showing payment processing. After several phone calls, Apria billing department told me that they have the payment and then "APOLOGIZED" for the error. Then told me to IGNORE any phone calls or text messages from their billing department over the next couple of days. They also gave me the option to have the equipment picked up. They said if your Mom is unhappy with the service we can get our equipment but they also TOLD US that she would NOT be reimbursed for the 2 payments she already made.
