We are more in touch with Melissa, she schedules the caretakers and she works very hard to accommodate all of us. I don't know how she does it but Melissa is amazing!! We haven't had any complaints about the caretakers or the company itself. They are truly wonderful and the couple is in the best care they deserve! Matt solicited us at a skilled nursing facility (Mom is 97), as a boutqiue high line service. At first, Matt at Chamberlin appeared to be knowledgeable and professional. He made promises to give as a only few caregivers (3-4) all local people. THEN he price-gouged us & refusing to split shifts to avoid OT. He sent us 14+ caregivers in two weeks some from 25-60 minutes away (Fontana, Corona, Long Beach Anaheim). No consistency of care whatsoever. I am exhausted from acclimating new people to our house and working along side of the caregivers for 12 hour days and became sick myself from stress - too hard to care for her like that. Matt did not assess Mom (he and his assistant called in sick for that meeting). Instead he complained that we changed our needs (he advised us we should have 24/7 care out of SNF). He showed up the day Momwas released and spent only a few minutes with her a the SNF. Nobody ever came to the house to review our needs and assess safety and equipment options. They were not here for us. He gave me a bogus phone number for a bed rental place (an employee who no longer worked there) but made no other suggestions. While the caregivers were generally better than what we had experienced with three other services, we still had issues. One night, Mom was choking and the caregiver didn't know the Heimlich! I had to do it! We told him UP FRONT, we wanted to use the new Purewick external catheter system and yet they sent people who did not know how to use it. We had a no-show caregiver last Saturday, and I had to get Mom ready on my own for a visit from relatives. No apologies made. We were locked out of the company dashboard twice, so we could no easily add or change information to our needs. The system is shockingly not user friendly. The grid schedule was NOT readable. I showed the caregivers what our print out looked like and even they couldn't understand it. We are disappointed. We have not received a second bill but we are concerned at their comment that we have a week to dispute it. That is different than most card's VISA's guidelines. Something is wrong with this service. We were left in the lurch. It's not easy to find good care.

With several falls, injuries and a hospitalization, in addition to refusing to call 911, we immediately moved to a more supportive and caring home. Harbor uses word manipulation in their advertising to attract business, however do not offer what they state. It just did not feel like a "care" home. Unfortunately I would not recommend this facility for your loved ones needing sincere care and support. Thank you for the response. The fact that you used the verbiage "constant", in your reply, describes exactly the sentiment of Harbor, that we/she was a bother. It was never about the money, as we offered to pay more for better care and it was declined. All we wanted was a safe and caring place for my Mom and unfortunately the standard at Harbor was not that. The pictures I posted tell only 60% of what she endured, and "context " enough to express our experience; not to mention twice her laying on the floor for hours because staff was not able to lift her (or call for help) until my brother or I arrived. This is not personal, I understand you have a business to run, however the care level at Harbor left us with a lot to be desired.
