The day I found my dress, it was great. After that? It became the worst part of my wedding planning process. I paid $140 for rush shipping and was quoted a window of arrival and it ended up arriving later than the quoted window. My maid of honors dress was 4 sizes too small and I lost a bridesmaid because her dress was 3 sizes too small so that was $200 down the drain, on top of all the expenses I paid for hair, makeup, nails and gifts for her to be in my wedding. When I went to pick up the dresses, I was told that it was only the bridesmaids who were the ones who could pick them up. I found it odd because I paid for the dresses as part of my gift to them. Eventually, they let me take the dresses. I drove 2.5 hours several times for all of this. There was a male employee who rudely addressed an issue I had with the veil I had on order. My dress alterations were poor. I had a big saggy part on my stomach area that was highly noticeable. I've got burns and bruises on my sides from the boning in my dress that was exposed from not being sewn properly. After seeing my wedding pictures, I cried. I did not feel like the beautiful bride that every woman says they feel like and it's been a headache. However, the show went on. I got married and it is what it is. It's unfortunate that this was my experience as I skipped out on all the bridal salons near me and traveled far for this. read more

Such a refreshing feeling walking into this shop. I had an appointment with Zoe, a consultant who was just wonderful. She helped me get in and out of the dresses, clipped the dresses for a better visual and made me feel totally comfortable. She wasn't just doing her job, she was really trying to make me happy. This shop is terrible. My friend put a deposit down for a dress but then ended up cancelling the wedding - before she even had the dress altered. She lost the deposit which is understandable, but the shop notified her that she owed the full cost of the dress, MONTHS after the dress was meant to be ready. Now the shop is trying to sue her for the cost of the (un-altered) dress. Unacceptable - do not shop here. read more

Yesterday I said "yes" to the dress. My bridal consultant was Kenita and she was absolutely wonderful. she warmly greeted me and helped me choose some beautiful gowns based on the photos I had shown her. She was patient and really excited to help me find my dream gown. My sister in law ultimately was the one who pulled the gown that I chose. But Kenita helped me select some really beautiful options , and made it a very tough time Choosing. I am a curvy girl and a size 14-16 in street clothes. I went to the plus size part of the Bridal Salon and was not disappointed as the selection of gowns was vast, and beautiful. Kenita was really awesome and made all the difference. She really knew the inventory and was mindful of my budget and what I wanted. She really made it a fun experience. You can tell she loves what she does! Ladies , the person helping you makes all the difference in finding the gown of your dreams or having you leave disappointed. I made an appointment and still had to wait a half hour to start my appointment. My consultant was so dismissive of my thoughts through the entire appointment. She kept promising me that she could order my dream dress (which I found at another store) but kept insisting I try on more. Well she kept putting me in dud after dud and then realized that she actually can't order the dress I wanted. So thankful this wasn't the first dress shop I went to because it would've made my whole dress shopping experience so sour. Very happy I found I do I do and drove the extra distance. I thought I left a review earlier as I had a truly terrible experience here. If you measure yourself and order from them based on manufacturer sizes, you may have some luck. If you let them measure you and order for you, expect your dress to be too small and to be fat shamed. My mother was measured, they ordered too small a size and it arrived in two weeks and was far too small. They tried to say she, a small chinese woman, gained six inches in two weeks . LOL. Then they said the picked a size that would fit her on the bottom but not up top? It made absolutely no sense. Luckily she was able to get them to order the correct size. I was not so lucky, as I live out of town and tried on the dress a few months after arrival, was fat shamed and then they said they let out the seams for free but my seamstress said they literally did nothing. So they disappeared in the back room for 40 min to do nothing and kept trying to push their seamstresses on me as if I'd trust them to fix it. All eight bridesmaids dresses were too small. read more

Most of these reviews are lit up cause the shop gives you free shipping if you put a good review. Customer service is decent, find the sales people to be a bit pushy as I was just trying to get a understanding of what style I like but the sales lady seemed very impatient that I didn't like the styles she was brining out. Then the owner stepped in and started pushing dresses outside my budget on me felt very forced to buy the day I did due to the amount of assistance and dresses the shop was giving me. Ended up going $600 over my budget and when I expressed this of course they gave the speech of its your dream wedding and what not. Guess what?? Due to covid no wedding but stuck with a 3k dress. Sucks, wedding isn't happening just gonna do court for now and wait it out. Sucks also cause I live with my husband so he will see the dress if ever we plan to do something later down the road. Bridal shop could care less about this as if the whole world isn't in a pandemic and I didn't just drop 3k in a dress..they are just about there money so if you plan on going during these covid times be sure that your okay with throwing the money away should any uptick with Covid happen and your event is delayed or Canceled. read more

Awesome selection of dresses but the alteration girls here are terrible. They butchered my dress. I was obsessed with my dress until it was altered. It looked totally different after. They are careless. The hemming was awful, the bottom of my wedding dress was uneven which is noticeable in my wedding pictures and the waistline seam was bulging out. It also did not sit right on my chest which I had also pointed out to them but they couldn't fix it and told me they did not see the problem. I had knots in my stomach after getting my dress altered here. How could they take something so perfect and make it so subpar. Also, I was charged close to $1,000 in alterations. I will also say that the alterations needed were very basic. The dress only needed to be hemmed and taken in. I did not change or alter the style of the dress. They pay no attention to detail. I had to buy a belt to cover up the bulging waistline seam that they added when you could barely notice it before. I had showed them before and after pics and they said they could not see the difference when I promise you it was very apparent. The alterations they did were extremely sloppy. I was not being picky either. I did not have unreasonable expectations. I have nothing but regret for going here. There was also a $100 fee added to the cost of the bridesmaid dress for rush shipping but I'm not convinced there was a rush shipment and they were never able to tell me shipping dates or why I needed to pay the extra $100 charge. I do not recommend letting a seamstress here touch your dress! I am only leaving this review to save another bride from experiencing the feeling I had after dealing with this place. ****update due to store response. You have me confused with someone else & your "clarifications" of my review are incorrect and unprofessional. My review was honest to my experience. I absolutely paid close to $1,000. I did not spend hours in your store, no one tipped you, I did not have a belt sewn on, there was a "rush" fee added on to the purchased bridesmaid dress even though it was ordered well in advance & no one could give me any sort of delivery estimate date for regular or expedited shipping so I was not able to judge if expedited shipping costs were necessary. Maybe you make a bunch of bride's happy, that's great, I unfortunately did not have the same experience and at a very big expense so my review is based on that. Had a great experience at this store! I made an appointment to try on a wedding dress that I had tried on before in a different color. On a Saturday morning, I had the bridal side of the store pretty much to myself! They were offering free alterations on wedding dresses (done in-house,) which sealed the deal. I paid half up front and began waiting. My follow-up appointment was scheduled for six months out, but I decided to call a few months early just to see if they had an ETA for my dress. To my surprise, it was already there! I bumped up my appointment and eagerly awaited the try-on. They ordered my dress in my street size, which had me a little concerned. I thought wedding dresses tended to run small? However, as soon as I tried it on, I found it to be an absolute perfect fit. The girls in the shop gave their appropriate "oohs" and "ahhs" as I stepped up to the mirror, and were always happy to take pictures to send to my mom and sisters. Seng demonstrated how the dress would look bustled--she really has an eye for it! Another month later, alterations were done. The bustle and hem were complimentary, and I also requested cups to be sewn in, which added $35 to the total. Not a bad price at all! The team had plenty of advice for how to do the bustle, what color shoes would work with the dress and the best way to travel with it. Once it was steamed, one lady even carried it out to my car for me! I had a great experience and am so excited for the big day! read more

As soon as I walked in, I fell in love with the dresses. They are beautiful ! They all looked very elegant and amazing. I had an idea of what I wanted but seeing all the different and new styles made me change my mind. I loved them all. However, I went in with a budget and didn't know if they were going to meet it. The dresses are glamorous and unique and Mabel was very helpful. She listened and took in mind all the details that I wanted in a dress. She wants pushy or rude like other places over gone. This was my first time there and I'm happy to say I Said YES to the dress !!! I'm gettin married in January 12th and so glad I found this beautiful dress. Free alterations on your dress if you purchase through them a bridal dress over $1k. I had so much fun coming here to try on wedding dresses. I came 3 times for different designers' trunk shows. While there are typically no discount during these trunk shows, the free alterations deal just cannot be beat. Unfortunately I found my dress in PA and purchased same day for 20% off, but if I didn't, I would have 100% purchased an allure dress from Seng. Seng and all of the bridal consultants are very nice and accommodating. read more

I went for a bridal appointment a few Weeks ago. I had to wait in the shop before anyone even asked to check me in then it took another half hour before the shop had a open fitting room for me. I was very disappointed with my consultant. As I tried on dresses I described to her what I noticed I liked( pearl beading, princess bottom, cap sleeve) not to difficult, and her response was I'm making up my own dress(with an attitude). She did not go and look for a dress that I was described. Then! I found a "maybe dress" I felt very pressured so I told her I'm indecisive, she said "how indecisive?" And I said indecisive where I'm not purchasing a dress today I need to sleep on it then she WALKED AWAY and went missing for ten minutes so I grabbed my mom to start helping me try on dresses then she came running back. Also! I asked how to see the back of the dress and she just told me to turn around, then when I found my maybe dress she brought out the wheeled mirror to let me have a look. If I could give this place NO star I would. I was a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding. This place screwed up the measurements of my dress (Ali who has since been terminated because of these on going issues) so my dress came in literally 10 sizes too big. They refused to rectify the situation, instead tried to convince me that I lose 25 pounds. I took the dress to 4 tailors who all said they did not want responsibility to reconstruct the dress. I went back to seng and they charged me $200 to take it Literally every inch of this dress. Miserable rude seamstress Maisel kept trying to say that I lost weight and the alteration was very simple and I must've been going to bad tailors. Anyway, I had no choice because my sisters wedding was days away. The rest of the girls in my sisters bridal party had HORRIBLE alterations, had to keep going back, and seng wanted to continue to keep charging more every time. DO NOT GO HERE. These guys are terrible, my fiance went by herself to check out dresses. They refused to let her take pictures to send to her family and pressured her into signing a contract by saying they won't tell us when the dress will arrive. After she came home and told me about the experience we tried calling them back several times to cancel the order and the owner was extremely rude and hung up on us. They then sent us a email telling us that they rushed the delivery of the dress from china, despite the fact we never even finalized the measurements of the dress. We're doing our best to fight the charges now and will report this business to the BBB. If you're going to spend a large amount of money on a something as special as a wedding dress STAY AWAY from these people they are completely dishonest. read more

I wouldn't even give this place a star after a recent experience I had with my mom looking at dresses for her to wear on my wedding day. The sales associate would only let my mom try on 2 dresses (the most expensive dresses that were outside of her initial budget!) and they didn't carry every color swatch in big form so that we could see what it would look like in different colors. We asked the associate if we could see a pink dress and then she would say to my mom "you won't look good in pink." Then she kept pushing my mom for the one style (most expensive dress) in a eggplant color when I am getting married in June and have a pastel color palette. I kept telling the associate this color is too dark for my mom but she wouldn't listen to me or bring any other dress option/colors that fit my wedding color palette. At the end of the appointment we told the store we had to think about it for a few days and got nasty rude attitude how we would be charged more money for rush charges if we didn't place the order exactly today (versus waiting 2 more days). I am never bringing my mom back here to this awful place. read more

Seng Couture was my first bridal appointment and all in all it was an ok experience. Not terrible but also wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When we first arrived everyone was very nice and friendly but once our consultant arrived the vibe changed a little. She stunk of cigarettes, wasn't very friendly, not very knowledgeable of the dress materials, seemed annoyed by any questions that were asked and even snapped at my family once asked to try a different accessory with the dress. They have a pretty good selection of bridal gowns but awful selection of bridesmaid/ mother of the bride dresses. Our consultant checked out by the time we got to the bridesmaid appointment and wasn't very helpful at all. If you're looking for that bridal experience every girl dreams of I would keep looking. read more

Seng Couture had a nice selection of gowns and the owners were very friendly. They do not allow you to take pictures which for me is a deal breaker. I would never commit to purchasing such an expensive dress without seeing how I look first in pictures. The sales person who was helping me was not the friendliest and did not seem very knowledgeable on the dresses. So, I called Seng Corure to make an appointment despite the negative reviews I've heard about them lately. When I first called the store, I was put on hold for a long, long wait (about 20 minutes). When they finally (!!) answered, I asked if they have a dress that I've seen on their website in store. The employee confirmed that they do have that dress and invited me to visit the store. I didn't make an appointment yet and promised to call again when I know my schedule. A few days later, I've heard from from a friend that she have had an horrible experience at the store and she felt very uncomfortable. She said that not only she drove an hour to the store to check out some styles that they didn't have physically in store, she also felt rushed and they didn't allow her to take any photos. I won't share her story here as she will probably write a review herself, but I'm not gonna go to that store until they improve their costumer service. My experience with Seng Couture has been nothing but great thus far. I went in to buy my wedding dress in January for my wedding in June. They were so helpful, patient and made the experience enjoyable for me. Before I found Seng, I went to a couple other stores and the experience was horrible and instead of trying to help me find a dress first and foremost, they were trying to upsell me on all the accessories. At Seng, the staff was more concerned with helping me find the dress and gave me options of accessories, but never pushed. I knew that I was buying my dress kind of late in the game and the dress came in a month early! Also, I called in March to ask the status of the dress and I was expecting an attitude because I felt that I was being annoying, but as a worried bride, I had to call. I was relieved that they checked on my dress,reassured me and made me feel that I wasn't being bothersome. The store is so clean, the staff was friendly and their inventory was substantial. I said "yes" to my dress & veil and I could not be happier with my experience at Seng Couture! I went to a couple other salons before coming to Seng and I wish I had come here first. The salon is clean, bright, and very welcoming. They have such a wide selection of dresses and encourage you to look through while the consultant picks some dresses as well. I worked with both Hilda and Ilian who were honest, knowledgeable, and most of all PATIENT. I didn't want to make an impulse decision so I actually came back to the salon for 3 separate appointments. I still never felt pressured or rushed. I felt like they really wanted me to find MY gown and not just make a sale. I also liked that I could try on sooo many dresses in an 1.5 hour appointment. Seng Couture is a lovely shop with a large selection of beautiful dresses. The woman who was assigned to help us waited patiently while we tried on all of the dresses we had selected. She allowed us to take pictures and gave us plenty of time to determine which dress would be best. She candidly let us know her thoughts about each dress when we asked, but she never tried to rush us through or strong-arm us into making a decision. The store itself is beautiful with several areas to admire your dress from every angle.
