We had the date package and ate at the restaurant after. I recommend the pork schnitzel and pierogis. We ordered four shareables but weren't blown away by the butternut squash fondue and gougeres. Loved our hostess for the wine tasting, but wish there was more guidance on tasting notes and wine terminology. I'd recommend though to any wine lovers, I still learned a lot!

Chicago Winery prioritizes upscale and intimacy but their service is personable and friendly allowing you to feel right at home. On Wednesday they offer a Happy Hour special, $5 off a tasting and $10 wine by the glass. The server as extremely kind, and was able to offer me some suggestions based on my personal palate and wine interests. I landed on the Winemaker's Tasting, which included 4, one ounce pours, including Blancs de Blancs, Albarino, Barbera and Merlot. I paired the tasting with the a BYOB board. From their menu I picked the olives, Afterglow, and the Tempesta Guanciale. The server was educated on the wines was able to walk me through the tasting and pairings but gave me independence and autonomy to enjoy at my own leisure and pace. I highly enjoyed my visit and absolutely will be returning to dine in, as well as to get a winery tour!

The lamb chops were absolutely spectacular and easily one of the highlights of the meal, although it's hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good! We finished with the banana dark chocolate tart, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic dinner. Every dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our waitress was wonderful, and everyone else we interacted with was just as friendly and attentive. The service made an already amazing meal even better. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. We left extremely happy with our experience. Monteverde absolutely lived up to the hype, and we would love to come back!

Maybe my expectations were a little too high. My favorite was definitely the burrata with the homemade bread, prosciutto, jam, and butter. That was really good, and I could've eaten so much of the bread lol. We also tried a few of their pastas, but I found them a bit too salty and honestly, they were kind of lacking in flavor. The tomato mozzarella shooter was interesting, though! The ambiance was nice and service was good, so no complaints there. Overall, I'm glad I finally got to try it, but considering how hard it is to get a reservation, I was expecting more. Not bad by any means, but I don't think the food was anything too crazy.

If you're looking for an old-school steakhouse experience, this is the place! The experience starts…read morethe moment you pull up, with free valet parking and a bouncer greeting you at the door. Once inside, you're guided to the bar where you can look over the menu, enjoy a drink, and place your food order. After ordering, you're escorted to your table, such a unique experience! Each steak comes with a salad, relish plate, sourdough bread, and sautéed mushrooms. And do yourself a favor and get the Parmesan peppercorn dressing, you'll thank me later! Everyone gets to choose their own dressing I ordered the filet cooked medium, and the flavor was absolutely amazing. Our server, Sam, was also fantastic, friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. This place was such a hidden gem, and I can't wait to come back!

My husband and I came here to celebrate, specifically looking for good food in a setting that…read morewouldn't feel overly packed or rushed. It ended up being just that for our special night. Slight challenge noted in #3 1. The Vibe & decor was Nostalgic 1980s Wisconsin supper club vibe with Christmas lights, mirrored walls, and a small vintage bar. Being seated at the bar first was a treat because I got to see all the quality drink ingredients and had a front row to the live music. 2. The Drinks Excellent, high-quality cocktails with house made mixers instead of bottled stuff. The Hennessy Sidecar and Tiramisu Martini were both amazing! 3. The Food My husband ordered a Ribeye & Fries. He said it was the perfect medium, delicious, and had a good crust. His steak fries were piping hot and good! We shared them. I opted to get two appetizers instead of an entree which meant no salad unless I wanted to pay an up charge. I decided on the crab mac & cheese. It was flavorful and creamy. It had real crab meat folded directly into the cheese sauce instead of lump crab thrown on top like other Steakhouses Crab Cakes-Hate to say it but I was very disappointed. They were full of flour filler, there was not a lump of crab to find. I would be surprised if they're even made in house. Looked nothing the image that led to me ordering them. They had so much flour in them that they stuck to the roof of my mouth. Reminded me of Pick N Save's 5/$5 crab cakes from their meat department. 4.Service & Hospitality was top tier. The waitress was kind and attentive. She noticed the crab cakes were barely touched & when I expressed dissatisfaction with them she had them removed from our bill without any hesitation or pushback. Despite the crab cake challenge, the incredible drinks, great steak, nostalgic atmosphere, and stellar service made for a wonderful night out. So, to answer your question... Yes, we will absolutely be back!

Parking was plentiful on the street. Venue seems to be a wine bar with an open kitchen. Opted for a table with a view of the open kitchen. Staff throughout the evening was excellent. Started off with the seared Maitake Mushroom and it was tasty. It was served over a bed of aioli and topped with some cilantro. The venison was a special and requested medium rare. It came out towards a medium. Venison tends to be extremely lean. This dish was served perfectly with beets and squash. Ended the meal with a dark chocolate pie which was also excellent. Presentation was fantastic and the pie was super fresh. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing! $79/head after tax, gratuity and 3% credit card surcharge

It's a great environment with a lot of good drink options. I always opt for the Parker rolls which are tasty but again expensive for the amount you get, I typically order the trout (which until coming here I didn't realize was essentially the same as salmon). It's very good and the potato pancake is a nice touch. Over my visits I've also enjoyed trying the short rib gnocchi, butter chicken, and brussels. They also have a small party room which I have attended an event in before which is always a nice touch. It's secluded and of course much quieter than their main dining area which can get pretty loud!

But the filet mignon was great. Very well cooked and seasoned. Skipping the tenderloin, I went with the salmon, which was a tad dry. But perfectly seasoned. The grilled beans, onions and garlic were a great addition. I just wish it was a tad moist. Then it would have been perfect. Flourless chocolate cake was ok, but I had just had a better one at the Edison a day ago. Creme Broulee was right on though. Loved every bite. Overall, a classy restaurant that requires being well dressed (though I'm not sure that the dress code is enforced much) and professional service. But there was nothing that made me feel quite that "wow". It's what you expect for the price.
