In the evenings, the bar gets active with all the guests looking to get a drink or two before they retire to their rooms. Mostly isolated in groups but that's the European way anyways. Staff is super friendly and courteous. Prices are decent for what you get. I would not make a separate trip to visit the restaurant but if you are staying in the vicinity, is worth a shot.

We went for the non vegetarian option, but even that looks very good. Menu is fixed. You start with what they call snacks... Yummmmmmy :-) three small dishes with lots of flavours and fresh products. And then the 4 courses. Each time a small dish, beautifully presented, again lots of flavours, using fresh products and herbs. Tartar, oyster, lobster, sea bass, all deliciously prepared with very original taste combinations. Ended with a delicious desert, still in line with the beautiful minimalist Nordic presentation ;-) As for service: very friendly. As all dishes take a lot of time to prepare, count an easy 2:30 for your dinner, don't go here if you're in a rush. Helaas begon de ellende eigenlijk al vóór de levering. Verkeerd advies bij het bestellen, onderdelen die niet waren toegevoegd, dingen die later weer omgewisseld moesten worden. Oké, kan gebeuren -- dacht ik nog. Maar toen kwam de levering. Op de dag van levering hadden we vrij genomen. Bleek er geen lift geregeld te zijn (terwijl dat wél was afgesproken). De keuken kon niet naar boven. Ondertussen stonden onderdelen in het systeem als "geleverd" terwijl ze er helemaal niet waren. Daarna begon het eindeloze bellen en mailen. De installatie die 1 à 2 dagen zou duren, heeft uiteindelijk bijna vier maanden gesleept. Elke keer kwam de monteur en ontbrak er weer iets. We moesten zélf continu schakelen tussen IKEA en de montagepartner. Alsof wij projectmanager waren van onze eigen keuken. Wat mij nog het meest frustreert is de klantenservice. Er werd vaak gezegd: "We komen hierop terug", "Dit wordt opgepakt". Maar je moest overal zelf achteraan. En uiteindelijk werd het dossier gewoon gesloten, terwijl er helemaal geen oplossing was. Na al die maanden gedoe heb ik voorgesteld om het voor €500 af te ronden. Op een project van €15.000 lijkt me dat meer dan redelijk. Zelfs dat werd afgewezen en verdere communicatie werd stopgezet.

The earliest appointment was in 3 weeks after I 1st contacted them. The day arrived when the technician should come by, and in the morning of that same day, they cancelled my appointment. So I have to do a new one, this time in 2 and a half weeks. The overall experience with Ikea is quite poor. It is your device that's broken, you should be doing all the administration to get it fixed. Avoid Ikea, and if you can't, avoid this dishwasher.

Though everything here may be inexpensive it might still be best to plan a big spending budget because believe me, you'll want to buy EVERYTHING. From arts and crafts to snacks, kitchenware, home décor (for kids too!) and even some small pieces of furniture, Søstrene Grene is practically a one-stop-shop for about 75% of life's necessities and I love it! Definitely a fan, definitely coming back and I think the photos speak for themselves.
