I wanted a MacBook but my budget would only allow for an PC -UNTIL I walked into East Village Buyers. I skeptically walked in and met Gabe. He was very friendly with a great vibe. Asked him if he happened to have any Macbooks for sale and what do you know? He did! It was in EXCELLENT condition! He offered it to me for an unbelievably low price. I was shocked. The cynic in me automatically thought something must be wrong with this thing. So I asked if he would allow for a short warranty in case I should run into trouble. He didn't hesitate and obliged my request. I asked him if he happened to have a printer. He said, "Sure, take that one." pointing out a Canon printer also in excellent condition. I asked if he had something a little smaller. He told me, "You can have it. The ink cartridges are included." Seriously, I couldn't believe it! After purchasing the MacBook I took it to an Apple location for a software update and had them run a diagnostics test. The Apple rep literally asked me if this laptop was just sitting in a drawer for the last couple years because it was in HARDLY used and in great condition! *Insert Happy Dance!* And the printer works well! So here I am writing this review on my MacBook 3/4 weeks later with a huge smile on my face! If you are considering purchasing anything from East Side Buyers go for it! Gabe is honest, quality merchandise and the prices are amazing! Side note: My sneaker head son bought a pair of Jordans in excellent condition. Gabe let it go for far less than advertised on Stock X (sneaker fanatics will be familiar w this site). Check them out! Promise you won't regret it!

They bought his sneakers and I had a pair that I wanted to sell as well- the offer I recieved was a little too low, but I was given more in store credit and worked out a trade for some other sneakers that I wanted. They have everything from coats to electronics. The staff here was cool and fair. The majority of the sneakers were new but I did some see pre-owned, if that's your thing. He was friendly, professional, and honest- he presented a fair offer on my jewelry and explained how he reached that number. I didn't feel like he was low balling me or pressuring me to sell at all, It only took about 10 minutes and I left with a good impression of the company so I'll definitely be back to sell/ buy! I do not frequent pawn shops, but my identity was stolen and all of my accounts were frozen for about 3 weeks. I needed CASH IMMEDIATELY. I went to a few other shops before I found NEW LIBERTY and they took advantage of me because I was desperate. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. IF YOU GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN NEW LIBERTY, YOU WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. This is the ONLY Pawn Shop to go to in NYC. Roni is a stand up guy. Whether you are looking to SELL your items or PAWN them, you have to be careful with other shops. They are not looking to form long term relationships. Rather, they prey on the needy and will take advantage of you when you need help the most. If you are LOOKING TO SELL...Roni will give you TOP DOLLAR compared to anyone else. His quotes were 20%-30% HIGHER than his competitors. Not only will you get MORE MONEY, but you will also feel COMFORTABLE. He will not pressure you to sell anything and he always has your best interest in mind. No, you are not going to get retail prices, but he will show you what the retail price is and then give you a quote that all parties are happy with! If you are LOOKING TO PAWN...again, you ARE going to get TOP DOLLAR. Most likely 20%-30% MORE than other shops. He also gives one month, NO INTEREST, for new clients. I have had terrible experiences at other stores where items go missing, are not in the same condition as I left them, or take 30 minutes to find. When you come back to New Liberty to get your property, you will be in and out in two minutes and everything will be in the same condition as you left it. Roni will talk to you like he's known you for years and you will be on your way, smiling, as you walk out. Thanks Roni for the exceptional experience! If I ever come across tough times again, this will be THE ONLY place that I go. I cannot thank you enough for helping me out! I hope that other people read this review and decide to use NEW LIBERTY instead of the other crooks that prey on those in need. -Tyler
