I was there yesterday afternoon like around 3pm and as soon i when inside it was like if the new i was coming this lady was weitghing some gold and i told her i was there to pawn an xbox one 500 gb she told me go to the window where they was some cashiers so they can take care me I when and ask can you take care of me the lady she step out of the cash register and when ti the lady who send me to her so she start the process and the lady who send me to the window started telling her he had to wait in a very nasty rude attitude I had no problems with noone and she at that moment im thinking its this personal like if she knew me and then she start helping me after the other cashier lady was helping and asked how much are you looking to pawn the xboxone and a mini cam i said $90 and then she started looking in the computers for prices and the market to see how much was the value of the xboxone and the mini cam then she said i give you $30 i said no way for both items to pawn it then at that moment she was very rude i asked why so low the loan she said the value and plus the mini cam was an old model i said fine how much for the loan on the xbox one she kept telling $30 i then i refus she said to your xbox one i cant do business with her i said fine i take my xbox one packed it and left how rude she was she never even handled me my id back i left then i came back to the stored And ask for my id like can i have my id back she quote with an attitude you left your id i told her you never handled me the id back she said im an grown woman for you to disrespected me i told her im an 50 year old man and i never disrespected her i left shake the owners hand and left after 15 years of me going to this pawnshop i will never go back to this place of business With employers who treated costumes that way never again. read more

Okay so this place is a great little joint that always has the best deal for me and my jewlery. To top that I am even able to get my musical instruments from there! Lately I have been struggling with some money so I had to pawn my golden chain but the manager there made it a smoother experience then I experienced and I didn't even have to get rid of my chain! Usually in places like this (Ghetto Brooklyn Area) you would expect ghetto service but that's definitely not the case for sure. The staff who work there have great atitudes, are very professional, very experienced and just make my personal overall experience with them a positive experience. To top all this it is located right there on the flatbush/ nostrand juntion, so I can always take the 2 train there (last stop) and run other errands while in the area. I give this Gem Pawnbrokers a 5/5 thumbs up and happy to say that this is my favorite, and official, pawn shop to bank my cash, pawn my jewelry and help keep me up to date with my musical instruments. One last thing is that I don't have to go all the way to downtown brooklyn, this one is perfectly convenieced in my area, making this a win win. read more

This is a great store. I highly reccomend shopping here if you are looking for reasonable prices for jewlery and other products like electronics. I enjoyed visiting this store mainly because the employees are very kind and helpful. When I visited this pawnshop I was assisted by Mark who was very helpful and polite and showed me all the devices that I can buy. I defenitley plan on returning to this store before Christmas so I can get some good deals and get my little cousin a used ipod. I' m also thinking about buying a guitar from there. I've been shopping with gem for many years and the service that I receive is wonderful, I have no complaints. I am always satisfied with their professionalism. My favorite sales person is Lourdes Hernandez. She knows what I like and is always keeping in touch with me to tell me what new jewelry pieces come in. She always remembers me and sends me birthday cards each year, and is constantly in touch with me telling me about the wonderful sales that gem has to offer. She makes me feel like a very appreciated customer. Everyone else at this location is very nice as well. Went here because of the reviews here, but they were not interested in buying anything. They have no idea what they are doing and they made me wait an hour to tell me that they would give me $50 for my brand new Michael Kors watch but then said no because the battery was dead. I guess they make more money on targeting people for crazy loans because they sure are not interested in making money from designer handbags and Tiffany jewelry.
