    I brought in a friend's phone because he could not receive my calls. I suspected that it was…read moreblocked but could not figure out how to change the settings. I did not specifically say this. The first thing the repair guys said was - the glass is cracked and it has the antenna so it needs to be replaced. I asked what if it's not the glass. the receptionists said then we will put the old glass back on. (odd) i said what if the phone still does not work? we went round and round. So i left it and came back - the glass was replaced and it still did not work. NOW they checked by calling with their phone and with my phone and low and behold it was blocked. AND THEY SHOWED ME HOW TO UNBLOCK IT! Do I get an apology? no I get defensiveness. "This is not what we do to check if its blocked". (Excuse me - that is what you just did). The professional thing to do was to take the least expensive option first. And by the way $120.00????? I could have gotten the glass replaced for a lot less... NEVER AGAIN!

    PSA If you're someone like me that holds onto their iPhones for as long as possible (i'm talking…read more3-5 years) and replaces the battery after it's been "significantly degraded" according to the Battery health settings, make sure you get to the Apple store HOURS AND HOURS before they close (actually AT open might be best) because tonight has now been the third time in THREE (3) years that I have been turned away for not getting there early enough EVEN THOUGH the "Genius Bar" appointment for battery service lets you make it for ANYtime of the day, they WILL turn you away without warning if they determine they dont have enough time to swap out your battery, something that seems to be a trend there. Back in 2022 with my iphone SE (2020) I was turned away on two different occasions because of how behind they were even though it allowed me to make the one appointment for 7pm and the subsequent one was made for 5pm (I was still declined services then) and the store is open until 9pm.... I understand the world doesn't revolve around me and there's other people requiring the same type of service and employees get behind but this is APPLE that we're talking about. Apple If a store is knowingly going to turn away customers after a certain time then WHY DO YOU LET THEM MAKE THE APPOINTMENT in the first place? There should be a disclaimer or a warning or they should BLOCK OUT these preset appointment windows if they know they can't provide the service in that time... That's just common sense! Tonight's Genius Bar appointment was for 7:05p for a battery replacement. I'm then told to come back tomorrow before noon if I want this done at a reasonable enough time... So what, any other person that happens to make their own appointment after "noon" tomorrow you're also going to turn away with no warning ?? UNACCEPTABLE. In 2022 after I was FINALLY able to get my battery replaced on my 2020 SE, I received an email asking for feedback and I explained this exact thing that happened to me then and here we are 3 years later and no change. It seems like they just expect you to think logically and think that a battery swap appointment at 7pm you must be out of your mind!!! Okay, I get that with the "how behind you are" explanation, but where is that on the website, and why is that MY problem as the consumer?? Had I been warned, I would have never made an appointment for this service THAT late I guess. I will be asking to speak to a manager tomorrow regarding the absolute inconvenience that has been felt now across three years, two apple devices, and who knows how many other unfortunate victims over that course also wasting their time and just having to take it up the tail pipe because Apple said so
