I dropped off my completely dead iPhone XS Max with Nic. I'd spent the last weekend watching it get stuck in a pattern of trying to reboot, overheat, and then ultimately die and refuse to turn back on. I expected Nic to tell me that it was toast. From my first interaction with him, I felt comfortable, which is important when you hand over what's essentially become another limb to a stranger in hopes it can be fixed. He is very easy to work with, great attitude, put me right at ease. But even more importantly, he's very talented. Within a day or two, my phone is back in my hands, back from the dead. My bill didn't just go up "a few dollars," it shot up $50/month with the phone and watch payments. None of this was properly disclosed when I signed. This place runs like a used car lot--misleading, and dishonest. Verizon itself clearly backs these shady practices. Avoid this location at all costs unless you want to be scammed.

Please keep in mind this is a private business owned by one man. He is very kind and flexible. I received an over the phone diagnosis prior to entering his shop, albeit it was pretty simple (I needed a windows reinstall) He promised three day turnaround and it was true. He promised update calls and it was true. The value of the service was better than any corporation and the discounts he applies are very appreciative. If my computer becomes compromised or damaged I will always return to him.

He spent 15 minutes discussing possible causes, pricing and options - which was a pleasant surprise. Most places will simply tell you that they can fix any problem you have and just bring your PC to them. So after more research I was able to recover data from my PC much to my relief, even though it still doesn't boot up properly. I spoke with Jim again today and explained what I'd done. He advised me that my options were to either buy a new PC or spend $175 to reinstall Windows. Considering my PC is 9 years old, I'll opt to buy a new one. And the best part of the whole experience was that Jim actually gave me some advice on what to look for in a new PC. Even though I never had Jim fix my PC, I'm really glad that I spoke with him. He's a class act and I appreciate him taking time to help me even though he wasn't getting paid. Needless to say if I ever have PC issues in the future I'll call Jim.

Is kind is crazy to me, I pay 11$ an hr for a mechanic to look over my truck. Not a computer. I just think the prices are way too high. Overall I ended up paying 867$ for my compter to be fixed, when a couple 100$ more I could have bought a brand new Mac. And i couldn't even get all my files on my hard drive back. And the drive wasn't even damaged, only the screen was damaged. You pay 65$ when you drop it off, then they called me back to order the screen I could have paid the full bill of 460$, but I decided to pay 220$. And then I was told an 110$ N hour for labor and they'll charge me 4 hrs off the bat. I doubt it even take that long if they're as professional as they say. But then I ended up paying another 580$ when I picked it up. So your telling me another 5 hrs to bypass to get me to get apple again. Idk, it is what it is now. But I believe I was taken advantage of.
