I originally had taken my son's phone there to have his screen fixed. Two weeks later we had to bring it back -- they listened to what was wrong. We were told that they were going to look it over and make sure it was fixed properly. We had just put a new screen protector on and after they made sure everything was perfect and ran diagnostics they put on a brand new screen protector for free. I lost the key fob to our Toyota Venza, which is a special case for some reason, and they were sent three defective fobs, but they kept trying until they finally got one that works. Broke off the end of the Apple charging cable, in my IPad charging port. Tried in vain to clear the port. Took it to Batteries Plus on Lehigh St in Allentown, PA. Went through the entire process online to receive confirmed appointment for 9am Jan 18.....got there only to be told they didn't have replacement screws for my phone model. You couldn't email me to reschedule? Why did it accept my appointment to begin with? I shouldve read these other reviews before I made my appointment...seems like plenty of people have experienced problems. Apparently they don't really care...... That's all they want to do is sell you batteries and bulbs. They don"t want to solve your problem. They are not skilled and interested in customer satisfaction. They didn't put the back cap on the watch right nor reset the time when I bought a battery. I had to take the watch to a jeweler to take off the back of the watch and put it on right. You couldn't reset the time because the back cap was not installed right. I also bought a battery for a medical lifting device. They couldn't take it apart and after I took it home and disassembled the unit they didn't install the batteries right. They left a connector off and the unit didn't work. Not good. I scheduled an appointment to have my phone's charging port replaced. When I left the store after picking up my "repaired" phone the screen was black and couldn't display anything. I had never had an issue with the screen before, I took the phone in because the charging port was loose and cables kept falling out. I took my phone to a different repair shop where they told me that my screen was black because my phone had motherboard damage which can happen when someone attempts to repair the phone. Considering my phone had never displayed any of the signs associated with motherboard damage before I visited Batteries Plus Bulbs, it's safe to say that they caused it. Now I need to buy a brand new phone. You should consider taking your phone elsewhere for repair. read more

Made an online appointment to have the battery in my iPhone replaced. I received a confirmation and drove 45 minutes to the store only to be told they don't replace phone batteries on Sundays. Despite no other customers in the store they refused to honor the reservation. read more

The battery was ordered 01/25/2020, 11:00 AM, at the time I was told that the order would not be available for 01/27/2020 but it would be available 02/03/2020. I called to confirm the battery was in stock and was told that it was, but the technician called out sick. Did inquire about when to return and was told Friday, unfortunately that did not work. I arrived today and was told that it was first come first serve(had that been apart of any of one of the conversations that would have made a difference) and that they would not be able to replace my battery today as there were several phones ahead of mine. They informed me that it takes and hour and half to replace the battery (Which I was aware of during my first phone call). I did explain my experience thus far and the clerk basically offered very little in the way of support. He also told me they were too busy to provide small details like "first come first serve". The clerk did offer that I could leave my phone overnight, but due to the nature of my work, I needed access to my phone. I then inquired about the store hours and best times to bring the phone in. The clerk stated that often times there are people waiting when the store opens. Then he accused me of being rude, I did state that I had driven for 45 minutes in heavy traffic to be there( and I was road weary) and had I been aware of the first come first serve rule, I may have made a different decision. He again accused me of being rude. He asked me a question and when I responded he again made a remark about my rudeness, implying that no promises would be honored or made. OK!!! They also told me that it would cost $75. I called another phone repair store who told me that if I came the next morning they would take care of my phone in 30-45 Minutes. They also stated that during the week they are not usually inundated so they felt confident that they could get it done in 30 minutes. Then they told me it would be $50 (reviews for this repair store were excellent). I guess Battery Plus Bulbs does not realize that there are others who can do the same service and sometimes customer service is the biggest difference in this market. Price helps too. read more

They do not honor warranties on batteries, sold me a $180 Duracell battery in March, it failed, I independently verified the battery was defective. they refused to honor the warranty. Stated their policy was to deny battery warranties if the battery had less than a 10% charge. AVOID THIS STORE, AND THIS FRANCHISE. CONSUMER FRAUD, THEFT BY DECEPTION. read more

I think this is the same store as Batteries Plus in California. We stopped in because my friend was looking for some specialty light bulbs for a wall sconce for her home. She needed more muted lighting than a standard bulb and wanted to find a soft color option. We found several choices here. On top of that, her kid had broken the screen on her iPhone and we found out they also do phone and tablet repairs. For roughly the same price as the Apple Store, her phone was fixed up as good as new quickly. They called when it was done and reminded me that they were closing early-- and called me a second time when I hadn't responded back to them in a short time later and it was approaching closing time. I have purchased 6 batteries here over the last several years and up to now no problems . In August 2022 I purchased a 84 month battery for my car . The first week of December I had a dead car battery , after several days at the garage where they checked everything except the battery , as I told them the battery was purchased in August , they checked everything else , unable to find the problem we finally checked this new Battery and found it would not hold a charge and had low voltage . My car model is an older car where the battery is under the passenger seat and not exposed to any elements. The Battery was the issue . When i returned the battery to the store I was told they would not replace it or uphold the warranty due to the low voltage issue . This is total garbage . The battery was defective after 4 months of a 84 month battery . I EXPECT them to uphold the warranty . Needless to say BATTERIES PLUS BULBS will NEVER again get my business . They lost me as a customer over this defective rip-off for a 84 month battery that lasted 4 months. I will never purchase anything from this company again and will spread the word about their not standing behind their products. Do NOT use this place ! read more

If I could give this store a NEGATIVE 5, I would! I just had the worst customer service experience of my life. I bought a motorcycle battery earlier in the day. I returned a few hours later to return the core. I had my bullshit COVID mask on but it was not covering my nose. The owner scolded me for not covering my whole face. I bought my crack IPad in to the Lehigh Street store and they fix the cracked screen to the tune of $150! When I picked it up and bought it home I wasn't able to get it to keep a change at all. Since they claim to guarantee their service, I decided to bring the my iPad back to see why it was no longer keeping a charge. The person at the store said they need to try to charge it with their charger to see if it is actually the changer or the battery that isn't work properly. The odd thing is, I'm in a battery store who doesn't have a changer for my IPad!!! They had my IPad for a week and never called me once to mention this!! I went back and now they tell me. The point of me writing this review is to say that even though a store clams to fix something that is valuable to you, doesn't mean that they can!!! We leave our electrics with these people who we really gave no idea who the hire out to fix them, and in the end, we are no better off then when we dropped the item off to them. At least when my iPad was cracked it charged itself and I was able to use it. Now I can see a screen that they fixed, but broke the changer! If you have an IPad, IPhone, just simply go to Apple and have them fix it the RIGHT WAY! If you don't know what your really doing at theses stores, then they end up braking something else. Originally thought the experience with a cell phone battery replacement went well until the battery stopped holding a charge. Make sure to get any promised warranty in writing. They verbally told me it was a 24 month warranty, then told me there is no warranty, then came back again stating a 12 month warranty if the phone explodes (How in creation would your phone blow up????). Referred several friends and coworkers here, not again, very disappointed. read more

I came to the store to get my new Honda key programmed (the ignition chip) as the case of my old key had broken. The 39.99 price quoted on the phone was very reasonable since Honda wanted 150.00. I had a pleasant surprise when the friendly technician in the store informed me that the chip from the broken case could be removed and placed in the new case. Since the old chip was already programmed, no additional programming was needed. I wound up with a fully functional key in the new case for less than 10.00. Very honest. Honda never mentioned that the chip was removable and it isn't at all obvious. The tech could easily have charged me for the programming which would still have been a bargain. I got an even greater bargain and the store gained a loyal customer. read more

Very nice employees who work there... however I was VERY displeased with my overall experience. I brought an iPhone 5c to the store, which just had a minor drop damage with a shock proof case + Gorilla Glass screen. Only the upper right corner was cracked. They did my repair in less that an hour; which was rather impressive. However, fast doesn't necessarily mean good. They installed my screen and what seemed to be a very nice repair ended up being a headache for myself. The screen that they had put in made my phone act up during simple use. I went back more than 3 times, to find out the guy who put my phone used the same screen. I had mentioned it could have been the screen, but he didn't even give a different screen a try. So the third time he put it all back and it seemed to work... only to find out later that it wasn't good; I would use my phone and the screen would glitch out. I came back tonight and I went back twice, again. They had finally put another screen and it worked better than the screen originally put on; but not up to my satisfaction as it was still glitchy. They had immediately asked if I had gotten it fixed elsewhere; but why wasn't that question brought up when I came the first time was beyond me. They tried to tell me that the previous guy who fixed my phone messed it up... but I brought it to the previous repair person only once and they fixed it no problem. I brought my phone to Allentown Battery Plus and I had to drive to the store twice. I had already paid for the repair and everything and if they felt like there was something wrong with it; they shouldn't have repaired my phone. Period. After all this, the lady who worked with me tonight immediately told me that because I went to them the second time that their warranty was not going to be covered on this repair. Okay fine. Glad that they decided to tell me that because I am not ever going back there and I would encourage everyone to look elsewhere for their services. They should only stick to their light bulbs and not iPhone repairs. read more
