I went in for the first time today because my friend raves about this place! We are both dog lovers and have pups of our own so I trust her word. I was blown away by how amazing this place is. Amy greeted me, was so helpful and very kind. She made sure all my questions and concerns were answered! My dogs are my everything and I ensure they are well taken care of especially my boxer who is allergic to chicken. She made sure to show me all my options that contained zero chicken! I'm thankful for Self Serve Spa because it saves me time and keeps my back from breaking while trying to bathe my lab. Prior to COVID walk ins were welcome. Currently they require appointments which can be made online. I usually opt for early morning to beat the heat. Staff has been welcoming and helpful. I'm checked on once or twice during my time. I love how everything is provided for so that I can just focus on washing and drying my dog. I have yet to make any other purchases there because my dog is usually in a rush to leave when we are done. We love taking our dogs here to give them their much needed baths. I can't say if my dogs like it because they always managed to get dirty within a day after getting their baths. If you haven't been to a self service dog spa, they have a huge sections of tubs for washing and blow drying. They provide the shampoo, conditioner and other things you need when giving your furry babies a bath. I believe using the hair trimmer is a separate cost but it's not that much. They also sell dog food and toys aside from offering the self service spa. I haven't bought dog food here but I know they sell the organic and no feed dog food products. Horrible customer service. Arrived at 6:31 and was refused service by this establishment as Sarah said "I was well beyond the cutoff of 6:30". I then explained that I was not aware they had moved across the street and apologized that I was 1 min late and asked for understanding. I asked if I could make an appt and I was told it could only be mon-fri before 9am. Summary: Cannot make appt if you have a regular day job. So I'm currently only reviewing a couple things. 1. I went today to get my pup, Tucker's, nails trimmed since they have someone that rotates on the weekends to each location throughout the month. When I walked in I was quickly greeted by a staff member and asked how they could help. I told them I was here for a nail trim and DJ said to come on back. We've only had our pup for a few months so I was completely clueless of the standard procedures, how he would do, or even how often he should be having it done. DJ was quick, friendly, professional, and not only clipped but filed his nails too. We will definitely be back for a monthly trim as suggested. 2. I decided to treat my pup to a small treat afterwards and got some good recommendations from the taller gentleman with glasses at the register but I didn't catch his name. He was extremely knowledgeable and offered a sample of dog food after asking what type of food we currently feed our dog. Tucker decided on a bully stick and let me tell you he devoured it in under 15 minutes. My aggressive chewer may need something more substantial next time so we may try one of the other choices next time. Next time we will definitely spend some more time in there especially when we need to get him more food or when I need to find him a super chewy treat. read more

This was our first time going to Self Serve Pet Spa, and it was fantastic! Very helpful staff! The worker got us all set up, and showed me what the different grooming items were for. I spent about an hour in the stall with my dog, and the staff didn't seem to mind us taking our time. There were very few customers and no wait for us around 4:30 pm on a Wednesday. We even got a few well priced treats that were perfect for my dog who has a chicken allergy. The only draw back is that you need to pay extra for shampoo or conditioner depending on what you need for your dog. Some medicated shampoos were $4 and up. I didn't ask, but I wonder if they would care if I brought my own shampoo from home. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

I have only been to one other self serve dog wash (in Sacramento) and this one is much nicer! They clean and sanitize the tub. There is a ramp to walk your dog up into the tub, or you can just plop your dog in like I do. The water is the perfect temperature and comes out of a professional spray hose. They bring you plenty of shampoo and conditioner, along with a washing brush. They provide you with two towels for drying, a small towel for washing, and a blow dryer. They also have aprons to keep the water off you (I recommend using one). Plus there is no time limit. I believe the basic wash is $15, but they have several different add on options and specialty packages. I got an upgraded package which included a blueberry facial and palm oil, my pup smells delightful! They definitely provide you with premium products. They also offer clipper rental and have nail trimming on select days at both their white lane and calloway location. I generally wash my pup at home, but I think I will switch to using the self serve pet spa. I don't have to clean the tub after, my back doesn't kill from bending over, they have blow dryers, and the products are better than what I have. read more

Friendly staff who is extremely attentive and helpful. They gave easy to follow instructions to utilize their products to their best potential. They gave great recommendations and several days later my boy is smelling fresh and clean still! He was able to stay calm and relaxed when getting his bath. He normally doesn't care for baths at home but he was enjoying it here. The water is a great temp. The stations are always clean and ready to go. The only thing he didn't care for was the blow dryers but that's okay because they gave us plenty of towels to use! I will definitely come back! We took our two dogs in for a nice bath after a nice dusty hike. We were greeted by two young ladies, very friendly and very professional. The entire store was well stocked and has plenty of choices for every dog. The spa/bath area was perfect size, very easy to use, no time limit per bath. Our dogs loved every minute of it. Everything is provided, shampoo, conditioner, wet cotton balls to clean out their ears, blow dryer, towel, doggie cologne, and even apron for yourself, all you need to bring in is a dirty dog. This has got to be the coolest pet store I've ever been to. I'm from Southern California and this is our new must stop when visiting family there. First time I went the owner took a good 15 minutes showing and explaining all the raw options. I've visited this location and mount vernon, all the staff has been great too! I wish this business nothing but success! And branch down south Woupd be great if there was a bigger selection of bandanas, or frozen duck heads. Either way we will be back! read more

David and Amy (owners) are rock stars in my book. I love this place. So does my dog, more importantly! Recently, we attended a Saturday customer appreciation day and it was incredible. We always feel like family at Self Serve Pet Spa. The Calloway store is our regular stop for doggie baths/treats but this event got us to drive a little farther to check out this shop on White Lane. Great selection of food/toys here, an even larger bathing area, good lay out. The event allowed for great people/dog socialization and the vendors were great. We got a lot of samples to try for our picky pooch. There was a raffle, taco truck on site for the day, cold sodas etc. for the event. The owners are so patient with questions and give out the best advice possible for concerned pet owners. And, they only carry the healthiest dog/cat food. 5 stars! read more

Megan and/or DJ does a great job clipping, then filing (using a Dremel) nails; she loves what she does and it shows! The tubs here are elevated, and they are equipped with warm-water sprayers. You can also get special shampoos like Tea Tree for skin sensitive pups. We brought three dogs, three of us, in and out in 25 minutes. Clean dogs, happy family!
