They did the cut I wanted and they look amazing as always the only down is that it's so hard to get ahold of them to book appointments or get someone to answer the phone but when we are able to get them in it's amazing the work they do and my babies never have razor burns with them read more

We've went to Stars Fancy Paws since moving to California in late 2019. Our boy Kona has went once a month consistently until he passed recently in October 2023. For about 4 years of grooming service we've never had a complaint! They have done an excellent job with very reasonable pricing. Kona was loved there by all. They didn't have to, but the staff sent a sympathy card and flowers when Kona passed away. They all missed him. We live in Tehachapi, but it's been worth the drive down the mountain every month. Even through COVID and groomer shortages, they were always flexible with scheduling Kona. I highly recommend them to all dog owners as your pets will be genuinely cared for during their grooming. if I could give them zero stars, I would! we took our golden doodle for grooming three time and on the fourth time, they lost our business. after two hours, we attempted to call for an update with no anewer. we showed up to pick up our dogs, they were wet and cold and air drying in kennel. the front desk lady explained it could take up to four hours! when we finally got to pick them up, our golden doodle was crying and pawing at his ears. we took him to a vet, he had matted hair in his ear canal and double war infection! with antibiotics he is feeling better. no dogs or dog owners should go through this experience! read more

I love this groomer. My dogs are older (15 years old) and one is quite grouchy. But this grooming service does a wonderful job grooming them. They both look so cute and come home happy! I'm am very happy with the expertise and generosity of the staff. I re-homed Wamba and I knew he needed grooming right away. He was miserable with dreads and he smelled like urine. I called everywhere to beg for a same day appointment, when the owners heard his story they decided to squeeze him in. When we arrived there was a male staff and Wamba doesn't like males, so he wouldn't not go in and he was showing agression. The female owner came out and she put his kind as ease and knew exactly the care he needed. He went with her and he came back a brand new dog. You can tell his personality was so much happier. I live about an hour away and I've been taking my two poodle mix dogs here for about 2 years now. I recently decided to take my terrier mix (Pepita). That in itself was a huge deal because she is partially paralyzed from her two hind legs (she can walk but it's kinda funky) and she has no control over her bowel movements. I am very protective of her but I felt comfortable enough to finally start taking her to Stars Fancy Paws so that she can also get properly groomed like my two other fur babies. I took her early in the morning (they make special accommodations for dogs with any special needs). Diana, her groomer and owner, was very friendly and made me feel a lot better about leaving Pepita there. When I picked Pepita up, she was in such a happy mood and now she feels absolutely fabulous strutting around the house! It was evident that they took good care of her and even did a great job despite the crazy directions Pepita's hair can grow. I will certainly be taking Pepita back along with my two other dogs. I absolutely love this place!! They treat my beautiful princess with such loving care not to mention the amazing job they do on her cut. I have a toy Yorkie and she isn't too fond of having her hair groomed especially on her face but they take their time with her which I love! The owner not only took her in for boarding but also texted me the entire time I was away. It was nice to receive pictures of my baby knowing she's okay. She never cages the dogs she boards and feeds/cares for them to your liking. I'm so thankful with the care and attention they gave Reggie during this visit and his previous visits a few months back (bad mami for not bringing him sooner!). He was shedding like crazy! I really liked this place, the first few times I took my fur baby, even when it is pricey. But after the last one, I'm NEVER taking her again. My doggie HATES grooming, hence the reason I take her with a professional. The last time I took her in as I went to pick her up the groomer started telling how difficult it was to cut my baby's fur and how "She smells SOO bad!". She told me this IN FRONT of other customers!!! My baby has an appointment this Monday to extract a bunch of teeth and that's the reason of the foul odor. And yes she does stink, but the groomer cold have talked to me in private and NOT in front of other customers. VERY unprofessional. I'm NEVER taking my fur baby there AGAIN!!! read more

So we just had our first visit with these guys and let me just say WOW! We just moved out to this local area and I by chance found these guys. We own a pure breed samoyed and it is always difficult to find someone who knows how to handle a double coated breed. Our dog Kona just went through a month long move with us and my usual daily brushing went lax in the chaos, so needless to say he was pretty rough when we showed up at these wonderful peoples door step. It is always nerve wracking for me when we go to a new groomer because a lot of groomers just want to shave your dog down,(which is the worst thing you can do for this breed) but my concern here was not needed. They were so kind, patient and professional! They spend countless hours hand brushing out the mess that he was and turning him into a well groomed beauty. They even gave him an adorable bandanna. These guys do such a wonderful and thorough job on our pups. We have huskies who HATE getting groomed so we never want to do it ourselves. We used to go to PetsMart but stopped taking them there after there was an incident. This place does SUCH a better job! The employees here seem to genuinely enjoy being around animals and care about their well-being. There was one time our dog had such bad matting they had us bring him back in a week later to finish cleaning up the matting. Wow! What can I say this place is awesome! If I could give 10 Stars I would! The groomer I had for 7 years moved out of State afew months ago so I have been looking for and trying other groomers. Sadly none of them worked out and they couldn't do what I asked for regarding my Chow Chow. That's until I found Star's Fancy Paws grooming! I went in afew days before they were going to groom my Chow and I wanted to show them pictures of what I was looking for as far as grooming my Chow. I'm very picky and first impression is everything, and I must say, as I walked in I was greeted by two young ladies behind the counter that were very polite/friendly, that right there told me alot about this business. They looked at my pictures, answered all my questions in regards to grooming my Chow and said "We can do that" I love confident people! Next day I dropped my Chow Bindi off at 8am, and I must admit she was a mess, she hadn't been groomed properly in a couple months. I knew she was going to take some work and time. I got the call afew hours later telling me she was ready to be picked up. As I walked through the door and they brought Bindi to me I was blown away! Wow! What a great grooming job! Everything I asked for and wanted they did perfectly! I have now found a grooming salon to replace the one I had for all those years! I am beyond happy and satisfied with Stars Fancy Paws my Laila looks amazing! She even smells great (the shampoo/conditioner they used left her with a light perfume smell and very soft coat).
